This one was fun. Full of snappy dialogue between the main characters and the Hero is alpha without being unlikable, a balance I find many authors struggle to hit.

Four stars.

*I received a review copy from the publisher/author via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.*

This book was so entertaining. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and was involved until the end. The characters were complex and interesting. I found the story to be well paced and engrossing throughout the whole book. I was invested in the couple throughout the book and felt all the emotions through both the highs and lows of the story. The side characters were such an integral part of this story as well. This is the love story i needed to read at this time. If you want an entertaining and well written book this is it for you

This was a decent story and I somewhat enjoyed both the hero and the heroine, Brandon and Katherine. However, nothing really stood out making it a great book.

I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review. The story of Kate and Deverill is well written and quite enjoyable. Kate will only marry for love and Deverill doesn't believe in it. While in great danger Deverill comes to realize that he loves Kate and can not see his world without her in it. Of course there is a lot of action that leads to this revelation and you will need to read the book to experience it all. There is a HEA and I would recommend this book for a good read. Love the cover.

Another amazing read from Nicole Jordan. I liked the banter between Katherine and Brandon Deverill.
Have read all Nicole J books so far!!

Lady Katherine Wilde believes she has crushed any lingering romantic feelings toward Brandon Deverill, who spurned her six years ago. And now that the rough-edged rogue needs polishing to claim his inheritance, she’s willing to strike a practical bargain: Kate will mold the brash privateer into an acceptable English nobleman if Deverill will safeguard her from brigands on a voyage to recover lost family treasure. However, the soul-melting kiss that seals their agreement just may reignite blazing passion.
This was a pretty good book. I’ve read this author, and several books in this series, but it’s been a few years. I really liked both Kate and Deverill and their interactions between each other were well-written. The story moved along well. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

My Fair Lover by Nicole Jordan is a historical romance novel for the ages. I felt like I was falling in love with the characters and that is what I think a romance novel should do...bring the reader into the story.

The fifth and probably last book in the Legendary Lovers series, but no less engrossing then the previous ones. Lady Katherine Wilde has had feelings for Brandon Deverill, a family friend since she was quite young. Six years ago she offered herself to Brandon, partially to keep him from joining the American side of the War of 1812 and partially because she truly cares for him. His rejection forms her own love outlook, and her feelings for Brandon. Now Brandon is back in England, a new baron, he needs a wife and the only one he wants is Kate. However, a subterfuge is necessary to gain her cooperation, after all, he hurt her badly. A pact between them leads into intrigue and danger for both of them. This is a fairly fast paced read, one I could have read beginning to end very quickly if family responsibilities did not come first. A very nice wrap up to the series.

I liked this book but the chemistry between the characters wasn't 100% for me. I may go back and start this series from the beginning.

Wow.
Romantically tender, sexually erotic, historical read, with humorous impropriety and naughtiness. Searching for treasure of the physical and the emotional with some high seas and pirate adventures.
A very exciting enjoyable story.

Nicole Jordan is one of the writers who made me fall in love with romance. Her storylines, her dashing heroes and enchanting heroines along with the sizzling chemistry and passionate love scenes combine to take you on a sizzling romantic journey.

"My Fair Lover" is the fifth book in Nicole Jordan's Legendary Lovers series and brings together the legendary matchmaker Lady Katherine Wilde and the privateer turned nobleman Brandon Deverill.

Katherine Wilde has always had a crush on Brandon. She even slipped naked into his bed to entice him 6 years ago, but was turned down. She has never been able to forget him or the embarrassment she felt over his rejection. Brandon has returned to England after inheriting a title and is in desperate need of someone to show him the ropes and ease into the nobility. He is also in need of a suitable wife and he has found the perfect person to help him.

Katherine Wilde is ready to help Brandon navigate the ton. And even though she isn't immune to his charms she knows that he will never be able to be the kind of husband that she wants and needs. She wants a marriage full of love and passion and nothing less will do. In exchange for her help, Brandon will help her locate the shipwreck in France where she lost both of her parents.

A romance full of passion and heat, reminding us yet again why Nicole Jordan is one of the best names in romance. A true delight!!!

One of the best Jordan's books I've read. The characters were relatable and the story line compelling.

Well written book with great storyline and plot. A sweet book that has great romance. The story is true to it's time period and the language is also. I like when an author has made research about the time period they want to write the story in.

I love the couples journey towards their HEA. There is drama, family issues, passion, emotions and some twists. Instant attraction. I like the supporting characters. I like it has an epilogue to finish of the story.

Nice chemistry and passion. I like the main characters and how they develop. The story flows nicely and it is very captivating from first to last chapter.
A new author for me but she surprised me with her writing. Absolutely not the last book I will read from her.

The author has delivered a story that is worth the read!

I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Lady Katherine Wilde is well know as being a excellent matchmaker. She's helped her family all find love and believes/hopes she will someday. Well she though she had found love with Brandon Deverill, she had declared her feelings at the young age of eighteen in a manner that is seared in her mind (as well as Brandon) but unfortunately he rejected her.

Six years later Katherine is still holding out hope for true love, she's put Brandon behind her (he left for America right after the declaration) and is moving forward. But Brandon has returned and is need of her assistance, he's inherited a title and is requesting Katherine's help in making him more presentable and proper to the ton. Katherine is willing to help (as she realizes and fights her continued attraction to Brandon) if her will do a favor in return for her. Katherine is in need of assistance in finding her family's lost treasure, so she will need his privateer expertise as they embark on a voyage to retrieve the lost treasure.

Six years ago Brandon had feelings for Katherine but felt it was wrong and ungentlemanly to encourage her as he was leaving the country. But now that he is back, with a title, he will be seeking a wife as well and Katherine is what he wants.

The two embark on a journey of adventure and discovery. Brandon realizes that Katherine is determined to only marry of true love and though his feelings and desires are strong that is a foreign entity to him. Katherine realizes her feeling for Brandon are as strong as ever and is determined to show Brandon the love is real and attainable for them both.

This was a sweet, sexy love story with two strong and intelligent MC. Brandon was portrayed as a strong alpha character but he had sides of sweetness to him too. Katherine was strong, intelligent but a true romantic at heart, never giving up on true love. Their romance was fun, with lots of chemistry, strong dialogue that developed into a nice HEA.

Six years ago, Lady Katherine Wilde made a bold move to win the heart of Brandon Deverill. Not wanting to compromise Kate before leaving for battle, Brandon turned down her advances. He has returned with a new title and a desire for a bride. Only one woman could fill the role for Brandon and he will accept her deal to provide safe transportation at sea to recover a family inherisance, if it allows him time to win her heart. Kate only will only marry for love and while Brandon can promise her passion will he surrender to more?

Much like the other books in this series, they all pale in comparison to the Notorious and Courtship Wars series. Strong lead characters guided those books, whereas the fairy tale storylines guided these making the pairings seem forced at times. I prefer when there is a compelling draw between the characters and I felt it was a bit lacking here. It held promise and was on its way to this until the voyage and pirate portion of this story, which was the ‘fairy tale’ portion. It felt like two separate stories that never wove together.
