This book is what I wanted. Plain and simple. I always prefer the books about the strong and silent ones because their reasoning is always the most intense or heartbreaking so all you want to do is root for them.

Wyatt and Callie had a history, a history that Wyatt will not let anyone intrude on. So when it came down to pairing up, naturally he made sure Callie was with him. No one could protect her better and he knows it. He just didn't expect 'extras' to be coming at them other than the Saints.

Callie is from a family of criminals who she is desperate to stay away from. She refuses to be brought into their fold so she has made it clear that her allegiance is with the Loughman's and not her own blood. Orrin is extremely important to her so it kills her seeing the hated that Wyatt harbors for him because she cares for them both.

Everything is closing in on them and they all need to be prepared to do what they have to. Including pulling others into the fold even when they don't want to. Suspicions are high and there is some serious mistrust going on.

There's definitely a different tone in this book. Lives are taken and there are no regrets; injuries occur but nothing would hurt more than losing and unleashing Ragnarok. There is more going on than meets the eye and who knows how truly deep this goes.

I just love this series! There is so much more to the story than a long lost romance. I love the intrigue, action and drama and especially like the fight scenes. There are times I get in a rut reading and it feels like it's all the same scenario. When I saw this book land on my Kindle I knew I was in for a treat. Donna Grant's writing is always flawless and has me at the edge of my seat.

I loved Callie and her struggles with family and finding a home on the Loughman ranch. It's really ironic that the Loughman son's fled the ranch and felt no sense of family and then you had Mia and Callie finding a home there. So glad this story brings Wyatt HOME. I love his hard exterior yet you know what a fierce, loyal protector and friend he is and better yet man he is for Callie.

I was thinking this book would be the end of this series and would wrap up the Saints and Ragnarok, but NOPE! Donna Grant had an ace up her sleeve and I hope it includes a story with more of Orrin and Kate's lives.

Can't Wait!!
