A conflict of interest causes Mary DiNunzio, partner of a law firm,
to consider leaving so she can help Simon, an old family friend. As the story twists and turns
Bennie and Mary work together to bring the true culprits to justice.
The plot was well written with action and suspense that moved at a good pace.
There were a few places where the story seemed drawn out with detail. The characters
were believable and the dialog realistic.
I enjoyed the read and recommend it to others.

Finding the last book in this series rarher disappointing, this book was an improvement. It had a solid storyline which left this reader interested. The ending was not a big surprise but fit the flow of the story. A good book that I would recommend to all.

Exposed is a titillating legal thriller. We meet Bennie and Mary, once again, in the throws of legal mayhem and murder. When one of the firm's clients commits a heinous act of discrimination, the story behind the reasoning unravels and exposes the truth. We see the softer side of the "Da Boss". Even better, we see DiNunzio with a backbone and she ends up heading a major case steers the firm to another legal slam dunk!

Exposed by Lisa Scottoline is another very good mystery novel featuring Mary DiNinzio and her partner Bennie Rosario. The story moves quickly from one adventure to another. The ending is shocking but makes sense.
The story emphasizes Mary and Bennie 's developing relationships.

Lisa Scottoline continues her legal thriller series by adding more personal challenges for each character. It works well and has kept the series from becoming stale. Great addition to the series! Highly recommended

Thank you Lisa Scottoline and Netgalley for a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I have read a few of Lisa's novels and LOVED them, but this was my first in the Rosato and DiNunzio series and. I didn't enjoy it at all. In fact it frustrated me to no end.. The first few chapters seemed to just go around and around about the same thing and it was an issue that didn't even matter in the end. I have to admit that I skipped quite a lot of passages in this novel and I don't feel that I missed out on anything. I will stick to the novels from now on.

This is the first book I have read in the Rosato & DiNunzio series, although I have previously read a Rosato & Associates novel. The plot of this book is quite interesting. This one starts off with a conflict of interest between the two partners. Mary agrees to take on a new client in a wrongful termination case, but it turns out that Bennie represents the parent company of the subsidiary that Mary plans to sue. Mary is passionate about taking this case because of the circumstances it involves and the fact that the client is a close family friend. As the investigation begins it is apparent that the case comes down to a credibility issue between the plaintiff and the man that fired him. Bennie and Mary are at odds with each other regarding how to deal with this tense, bitter dispute. This case could threaten their whole partnership, not to mention their friendship and their own credibilities.

About halfway through the book there is a huge plot twist that makes Mary and Bennie reconsider their plans. They must put aside their differences to focus on the new direction their case has taken. Soon their investigation takes them into some very dangerous territory as they discover another twist and a cover up. Their race against time leads to a wild and shocking conclusion.

Overall this is a very enjoyable novel. There are a few plot twists that keep the action moving at a good pace. I love Mary's father and his friends, and the rest of the family. They add a comical and touching element to the novel.

I recommend this book to fans of mysteries and thrillers. I received this as a free ARC from St. Martin's Press on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Truly enjoyed this installment of this pair of lawyers and team. I would have like some resolution with Declan but I guess that is for another book

“Exposed” is Lisa Scottoline’s latest Rosato & DiNunzio novel and it is one of her best to date. Mary DiNunzio is called upon by one of her oldest friends to help him get his job back after he was terminated. Mary is aware of his family obligation and upon further investigation, she feels that there was even a more sinister reason for his termination. Bennie Rosato is trying to adjust to the idea of having Mary as her partner, but when she finds out that Mary is planning to sue a subsidiary of one of Bennie’s oldest client a showdown occurs and the two women must decide if they can continue as friends and partners. This is a fast-paced edge of your seat thriller that will keep the reader guessing until the end. I was given an advanced copy of this book, and all of the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Lisa Scottoline does it again! With so many twists, turns, and ah-hahs... what starts out as a very simple case has Mary and Bennie (along with the fabulous Tonys) on quite a ride. An awesome read for an afternoon -- already looking forward to the next book!

Wow! Loved this book! It's another winner in Rosato & DiNunzio series. In it, Mary DiNunzio, has a meeting with a friend of the family that she's known since childhood, and agrees to represent him in a wrongful termination case. However, shortly after taking the case, her partner, Bennie Rosato, informs her that she can't take it because the represent the parent company as well as the subsidiaries.

Bennie is friends with the CEO of the parent company and feels both legally and ethically bound to him. Almost before the termination case has begun, the employer has begun swinging hard at both the terminated employee as well as Mary personally.

With all of that going on, the real truth is buried deep and is only revealed at the very end. As the title suggests, there are secrets that have criminals feeling exposed.

This is a clever and well written novel that will make you think. I love that some the issues raised are real issues currently being grappled with by legal scholars. Fans of the genre will love this book - it's a must read that should be at the top of every reader's tbr.

This is my first experience reading this author. The plot was very good and the banter among the characters humorous. Overall, a good read, just not something that blew me away.

In a surprising twist, Scottoline pits two of her most well-known characters against…each other. Mary DiNunzio is pulling out all the stops to represent and old friend who was wrongfully fired by the company that employed him. Partner Bennie Rosato represents the firm in question and tells Mary that there's no way Mary can take the case. There begins a fracture between the partners as each fights for what they believe is right, leaving readers to wonder if this is the end of a beautiful friendship and a series

I have enjoyed Lisa Scottoline's novels in the past, but Exposed misses the mark. Although I think the author intended to highlight the impact of a critically ill young child on family and friends, the focus instead is on a barely believable story of all good versus all evil. Double-crossers, murderers, exploiters, thoroughly unsympathetic villains on the one hand and hard working, supportive, can't catch a break, sympathetic heroes on the other. There's so much white and black that the gray shades that separate an ordinary story from one that stays with the reader are unfortunately missing. I hope that in her next entry in this series, Scottoline returns to her old form.

I love this series! I love the way the characters have developed over the years, and I especially loved the combination of perfect closure and an appetite wetting ending (no spoilers).

Mary DiNunzio, the highly principled lawyer, is called to work on the case of a beloved family friend, Simon. the plot quite literally "thickens" as the troubles surrounding Simon keep growing. The initial civil suit grows into an arrest for murder. Simon is faced with his dying daughter, as well as his father having a heart attack from the stress. Mary is forced to choose between loyalty to her family and community and her partnership with Bennie Rosato. Everyone is forced to take sides and keep secrets.

Shockingly, Mary and Bennie are kidnapped and almost killed by the people involved in the initial murder conspiracy. It is here that the reader is shown the incredible power of Women, Friendship and SISTERHOOD.

There are several subplots, including much information about the childhood cancer that was the catalyst for the story. This is a very satisfying novel, which pulls all the elements together with satisfying closure. The characters are developed, new relationship dynamics between the women and those around them are explored, leaving us ready for the next chapter.

Yes, read this book, but go back and read some of the earlier entries in this series, if you haven't already enjoyed them. I promise you will love Mary and her cohort as much as I do. Note to author: cannot wait for the next book in the series, I'm expecting" another great read!
