Unfortunately, I was unable to finish Jilted. I got half way and stopped. This book just wasn't for me. This is really unusual for me, because I am typically a Sawyer Bennett fan/reader. I couldn't relate or get on board for Eden's storyline, and how easily Coop just rolled over on his issues with her.

What a sexy, fun and sweet story about second chances. In the beginning I wasn't sure I was going to like Coop, the hero, because he was kind of mean to Eden, the heroine, but he totally redeems himself in my eyes throughout the story. Then towards the end he was so sigh worthy and romantic. Loved how the story developed. And how Eden and Coop resolved their past so they could have a future together. There were some laugh out loud moments, some heart felt ones and of course lots of sexy and naughty times too. Overall a very satisfying story.

I love Sawyer Bennett books esp the hockey series. This book is part of the Loves Hurts series but is definitely a standalone. It's a second chance love story. The heroine is Eden a world famous actress coming home humiliated by her cheating ex and having "rebound sex" with her old high school boyfriend. FYI there is a lot of sex in the book. I enjoyed the book but for some reason it didn't hold my attention as her other books. I kept leaving it and coming back to it.....so it took me a couple of weeks to finish. At first it was because Eden was a bit annoying then it was because Coop was so stubborn.....I guess I felt a lack of connection with the characters. The story is given from both perspectives......and gives a good explanation as to why it didn't work out for them when they were 18.....no cheating or great misunderstandings. It truly just wasn't their time.......and I feel Coop was hurt the most because he was the one left behind.. The story in the present is about two people wary of being hurt again by the Sam circumstances that hurt them in the first place. I would recommend this book as a light-hearted read.

I love a second chance romance, and this one pulled on my heartstrings. Eden has been on her own for so long now, that when she needs to escape from it all, she heads back to her home town. And who is the first person she sees on arrival - Coop, her childhood sweetheart. The solitude Eden was craving, won't be happening.

The thing I cherished about this book was the personal growth the characters took to reach their HEA. They each realized the pact they made was not some rebound thing but the start of something lasting. They just have to overcome the problems of distance and stubbornness..... cough cough Coop! Even so, he was still lovable and his tenderness towards Eden was so swoon worthy. This may not be a total new story, but by gosh it was a very good one. I even had to put it down because I was getting teary at the hairdressers. Another great book by one of my favorite authors. Thank you Sawyer Bennett.

Jilted was a feel-good romance, second-chance-at love story that had lots of obstacles in the way for the two main characters.

Jilted by Sawyer Bennett

This was a second-chance romance from Sawyer Bennett in the Love Hurts series of standalones. It's about Eden and Cooper who were so very much in love fourteen years ago. Things changed for them when Eden was approached by a talent scout and swept into the world of modeling and then acting and they both realized that a long-distance relationship wasn't going to work for them. Circumstances have now pushed Eden back to her hometown of Newberry where the first person she encounters on her arrival is Coop and neither is exactly happy to see the other!

I do like a good second chance story and while this was predictable for the most part, it was still enjoyable. Frankly, the characters -more so Cooper- could have done with the occasional kick in the ass but that's most characters at one point or another. I think I would have like a bit more focus on the characters getting to know each other all over again rather than their wonderful sex life (yes, I'm inserting an eye roll right here) but there was, as always, more of a focus on the latter, not so much on the former. For that reason, I'm not sure their story was completely believable. Nonetheless, it was still a good story.

I have to start by saying I absolutely loved this book. Eden and Cooper "Coop" had young love and a life that led them in different directions. Years later, life leads them back towards each other but is the love they once shared enough to last the years they were separated? They still have a life of their own and are successful at it. I loved all of the characters in the story. There were moments that made me laugh out loud. Yes, some of the actions between Coop and Eden were a bit childish but they were funny as hell and I loved reading it. I laughed a lot. They had the perfect chemistry, the sexual attraction was off the charts and the love between the two were what made this book worthwhile. I loved it, and I can't wait to read the next book this author publishes. I highly recommend all romance readers grabbing a copy of Jilted because just like I was, I believe all readers will be hooked and fall in love with the characters and story just like I did. Definitely worth reading!!!!

I absolutely loved this second chance romance by Sawyer Bennett. It had a little bit of angst, some comedy and the romance factor was absolutely there. I devoured this in one sitting, not able to put it down.

Eden and Cooper were high school sweethearts who ended up going their separate ways in college. Fast forward years later and Eden decides to escape back to her hometown after breaking up with her hollywood boyfriend.

What ensues is a little bit of friendly fire as she finds herself face to face with Cooper. There first encounter had me laughing up a storm as they figure out how to be around each other again. Slowly but surely feelings that never really went away start to surface.

I couldn't stop smiling throughout this book and at certain moments definitely could feel the heat between these two coming off the pages.

Cooper was sweet, sexy, and at times throughout this book the one that came to Eden's rescue. He will definitely make your panties melt.

Eden may have looked like she led the glamorous hollywood life but my heart ached for her a bit as it isn't all it's cracked up to be. I found her to be strong yet vulnerable at the same time.

Eden and Cooper's reunion starts off a little bumpy at first but will have you laughing and giggling. Their reconciliation will make your heart swoon and definitely have you saying Oh My.

Jilted was sexy, with some lighthearted moments, a great second chance romance that will have you devouring each page.

What happens when the love you let get away returns 10 years later? Eden is a movie star and left Newbury 10 years ago to fulfill her dream. Cooper was the man she wanted but Hollywood was not for him. After some things go wrong Eden decides to lay low back in Newbury but when she sees Cooper after all this time will those old feelings return.. Does Cooper still feel something for Eden..

What a fun look into a 2nd chance romance

It's been a while since I've read a Sawyer Bennett romance. I had forgotten how much I love her writing. Her characters are fun, the plot interesting, and the sexy times are always hot.

Jilted is a second chance love story. Eden and Cooper broke up in college when their lives took a drastically different path. Eden went on to fame and fortune in the world of modeling and acting. Cooper got his college degree and took over his dad's landscaping business. The two haven't seen each other for fourteen years, but the scar their break up left still haunts both of them. When Eden returns to their hometown of Newberry, they are forced to face their past and their unresolved feelings for each other.

I loved Jilted. It was exactly the type of romance I'm looking for when I want a sexy escape. Eden and Cooper had amazing chemistry. It didn't matter whether they were loving or fighting, their dynamic was intense. I could feel the sexual tension rippling off of them pretty much all the time. They put that sexual tension to good use, too. Those love scenes were hotter than hot.

The sexual escapades weren't the only thing enjoyed about Jilted, though. It was a really sweet love story. Eden and Cooper hadn't found anyone quite like each other after breaking up. Their connection ran deep, and I loved that.

There wasn't anything I didn't like about Jilted. It truly was a fun second chance romance. Fans of Sawyer Bennett are sure to enjoy it.

Review on Goodreads. Sawyer Bennett is absolutely a wonderful writer and Jilted was another perfect example of true contemporary romance. No complaints or wishing for anything different. I appreciate the opportunity to read the book and Thank Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for a honest review.

This is an absolutely fantastic second chance love story. Eden Goodnight is a big time movie star that went back to her small hometown to get away from scandal when her movie star fiancée cheated on her. Little does she know that her hometown thinks negatively of her. When she runs into her high school boyfriend Cooper Mayfield and the old sparks are there. They work through old hurts and wrong assumptions. But when Edens life comes back and she needs to go back can Coop deal with a long distance relationship. This is a great story by Sawyer Bennett and I could not put this book down.

I love Sawyer Bennett's books! That woman can write a steamy, hot sex scene! *shivers*
Her characters are fun and the story flows well. She is definitely one of my go to authors.

Summer is here, just in time to enjoy the latest fun, frivolous, fabulous Sawyer Bennett romance. I'm not a big fan of second chance romance, but this was lots of sassy, steamy fun. Turns out second chances, rebound sex, and cupcakes are a great combination, just like former high school sweethearts Eden and Cooper now that they are older, wiser and way sexier.

A refreshing change from the usual second chance romance trope is the lack of bitter drama. Eden and Cooper was in love as teenagers, but made the difficult but mutual decision to split so to follow their dreams. Years later, they both have what they want and can acknowledge that at painful as their break was, it was necessary. There are no nasty recriminations or bitter "I told you so". Even better, both are frank and open about not being celibate while apart. No slut-shaming here. Once the initial misunderstandings and dramas are dealt with, there's nothing to keep Eden and Cooper from indulging in a scorching, no holds-barred affair.

Best of all, I loved seeing our hero doing a well-deserved grovel. It was a satisfying end to their fun romp (I wanted to high five Claire, Eden's assistant, the entire time).

One major sore point for me, however, was the weirdness involving Eden's grandmother. It really bothered me that there was no explanation for her coldness to Eden, much less her leaving part of the house to Cooper. The illogic and incompleteness of that really bugged me.

4.5 stars

Sawyer Bennett is one of my top "read everything written" authors. So, getting an ARC for this book was really exciting! Part of that excitement was because it was a different approach for her. As was Sex in the Sticks (Love Hurts #1). This hometown girl coming home after For-evah and then some was a pretty entertaining read. As always, Bennett gives a realistic side with a great deal of preface and details. For example, our starlet and our landscaper...I really felt like I knew them when it was over. What I loved about Coop was his really hawt and honest approach to, well, everything. Overall a great read. Highly recommend it, esp for fans of Bennett...it's another swoony hawt read

***ARC ***

I was offered to read this for an honest reveiw.
Small town girl made it big in modelling then acting but along the way she left behind her first love.
Small town boy turned to a love them and leave them type of man when he and his first love agree that a long distant love is to hard.

Eden turned into a big time Hollywood actress and Coop took over his Dads landscaping business then expanded it, both are doing really well in their work life but personally....
After a disastrous relationship Eden decides she need some time away from the spot light and heads to the one place they don't know where she'll be, home. Only when she gets there she finds out that her late Grandmother left her a surprise in her will a roommate, her first love COOP.
Coop never thought he would have to be in the same town with Eden let alone share a house with her, his feelings for her become soured after a misunderstanding as does the whole town, can Eden put things to right or will she run again?.
Even after 14 years apart their chemistry is off the charts.

I love a good second chance love story and this book didn't disappoint.

Another winner for Ms. Bennet. It was funny, cute and relatable. Even though Ms. Goodnight was a movie star, her small town charm was there.

Jilted is another awesome creation from Sawyer Bennett's imagination.
Following a rather embarrassing situation, a return to home roots, some crazy juvenile behaviour and an rekindling of past relationships the reader gets to know the people of Newberry.
A thoroughly engaging novel and a fabulous trip into southern America.

I make no secret that Sawyer Bennett is one of my go to authors, I love her style of writing, I love her characters and I love how I feel after reading one of her books, this standalone gave me everything I want from a book, It's a second chance romance that's also a fun read.
Eden Goodnight is in Hollywood to make a name for her acting career not a name that's associated with a cheating partner so when she is humiliated at a red carpet premiere by her fiancé she heads home to lick her wounds. Cooper Mayfield was the man she left behind and he still lives and works in the small town Eden has run too. Will the time spent together rekindle old feelings and what happens when Eden is offered the role of a lifetime, will she leave Cooper for a second time.....
I fell in love with Eden and Cooper, they felt real, they felt like friends and their lighthearted banter was a breath of fresh air. This book has it all, its emotional and funny and let's not forget the Hollywood glamour. I read this book in one sitting, it drew me in from the first page. Once again Sawyer Bennett has shown that she is very good at what she does and she has given us yet another 5 star read.

Jilted is the second book in the Love Hurts series by Sawyer Bennett. You can read it as a complete standalone since there isn't any connection between the couples. Just that well...Love Hurts. I read Sex in the Sticks and recommend reading that as well because it was just as kick ass. Anyway, back to Eden and Cooper's story...

Eden Goodnight had to get away from L.A. Away from her cheating fiancé. Away from the paparazzi. Away from her life. So she decided to go to the one place she once belonged. Her hometown of Newberry, Georgia. She has only been back once in the last fourteen years but it was calling her name. When she got there she wasn't exactly welcomed back with opened arms. It was the opposite in fact. She knew it would be somewhat of a shock to be back but that was an understatement. First, her first love tells her to turn around. Then, the whole town seems to want the same thing. She is confused to why but when things become clearer she decides to stay. And to her surprise, Cooper wants her to stay as well. Just until she feels like she doesn't need to hide anymore.

Cooper doesn't hate her. But he also doesn't love her. He tolerates her. He even cares a little. But that's with every woman. He doesn't do relationships. Not since she left to New York to pursue her dreams. The town knows the score. It's just sex with the woman until their time is expired. So when Eden suggest some rebound sex while she is in town, he agrees. It's just another expiration date. She will go back to L.A or whatever city she needs to go to film her next movie and that will be it. But, what if she gets to his heart again? Will this just be second round of the same thing from fourteen years ago? She goes off to be a star while he stays behind?

Damn. I just love a second chance romance! The connection and navigating their way through the person the other has become is just amazing. Cooper and Eden have changed in many ways but their core hadn't. They knew what was important but now know what to do about it. If that makes sense. They were eighteen when they went their separate ways the first time. They have grown since then. But, can it work? She loves acting, it's her passion. He loves his small town and his business.

Overall...I loved it. It's a fast read full of sexiness, heart, and soul searching. There is also some drama. The characters are lovable, crazy, and so much fun.

P.S. I really want a cupcake right now.

Quotes:

“Cooper Mayfield is the biggest asshole on the face of the earth and I need a cupcake like right now.”

You are in so much trouble tonight. I almost feel sorry for you.

“You want cake don’t you?” I tease her.
