This one sucked me in from the very first word and I did not want to put it down. This is book two in Sawyer Bennett's Love Hurts series, however it is a standalone and does not have any ties to the first book in the series. Coop and Eden's chemistry is great but can the past hold them back or can they move forward. f you like second chance romance storylines, Jilted is the book for you.

Superb! One of the best contemporary romances I've read this year. This is a must read. Coop and Eden sizzle the pages. The heat is off the charts. I loved this! After having such a crappy fiancé, it was great to see Eden with a good guy, even if it's only temporary. The writing is flawless and will leave readers wanting more by this author. Grab a cold drink cause it's gonna get hot.

Sawyer Bennett is one of my favourite authors. Her stories are captivating and unique, and so is this amazing second chance romance. Eden and Coop are former lovers who meet again when Eden returns home after a 14 years absence to see Coop living in her Grandmother's old house. What are two people to do with all of their sexual chemistry but to flow off steam and have sex until she has to leave but love comes back fast for these two. I loved everything about this story!

Oh My, I LOVED this book. I mean, I LOVED it. Sawyer gave me a heroine I could call a best friend and a HUNK of a man to fall for. She delivered in spades.

Eden has been burnt and in the most public way. The only thing she can think to do to give herself a few days of peace is go home to her small town and hide out for a bit before her next movie. The only thing she doesn’t take into account is the fact that her ex lives in her house. Her grandmother left it to the both of them. Cue the fun and awkward situations that leave you in stitches.

Then there is the problem of the whole town hating Eden.

Throw in a few spiteful exes and some baggage that needs to be unloaded and our play was set.

These two were hot. I adore second change love stories. I feel like they give you the hope that Love DOES come around and even if it didn’t work the first time, there is always that possibility of hope.

Plus, the steamy scenes in this leave you panting. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Start to finish I was hooked. I hope we get more in this world, but I am also good if it is a standalone. It wrapped up perfect with a bow for me. 5 Huge heart wearied stars

This was another 5 star smashing success from Sawyer Bennett! I will admit I wasn't sure how an "Oscar winning" movie star fit into the "Love Hurts" series but Eden and Coop stole my heart! We have two MC's who are from the same small town of Newberry Georgia. They were each other's first and only loves. A career opportunity catapulted Eden to stardom, and Cooper was left behind in Newberry with his father's landscaping business. A little soul searching drives Eden to "hide away" in her small hometown away from the Paparazzi, and her love for Coop flares up. There were plenty of obstacles including crazy ex's, small town gossip rumor mills, and cross-country flights, but it only made them push harder for the love that's always been there. The epilogue was the sweetest thing and had me swooning out of my chair!

I’m a sucker for second chance romances and Jilted delivers. I could hardly put it down because I was dying to see what would happen next. Eden and Coop were young and in love. But when she gets an opportunity of a lifetime they slowly drift apart. Fast forward 14 years and Eden is desperate to escape her hectic life even just for a little while. When she returns to her small hometown she realizes a lot has changed and it’s not all for the better. I immediately loved Eden and Coop. Their interactions early on may have been childish but they were funny as hell. You could just feel the years of resentment boiling under the surface. Jilted is probably one of my favorite Sawyer Bennett books to date and loved that it was topped off with a sugary sweet epilogue.

Ah-mazing!! This may be my favorite Sawyer Bennett story yet.
Eden is a spitfire when she needs to be and Cooper is a part time manwhore. Once high school sweethearts who were forced apart, they find themselves in a pickle. I re-read chapter 5 3 times because I was rolling with laughter. It was also very steamy for many parts too. Such a great story!!

It took me a little bit to fully get into Jilted as well as know how to feel about the characters. Once things started clicking I really enjoyed the book as well as Eden and Coop. They're both a bit stubborn, funny, determined, and good at what they do. I felt for Eden throughout the book, especially the beginning when her world is turned upside down and later with all the Newberry drama. I wasn't happy with Coop at first, but he's a wonderful guy once he understands what actually happened in the past. The storyline was different and interesting. I liked the small town of Newberry and how news and gossip spreads so fast. The epilogue was cute and a nice way to end the book. On a side note this is the 2nd book in a row that I've read where there was a character named Brad who's a jerk.

Eden and Cooper's second chance at love. Cute romance by Sawyer Bennett. A quick and easy read for me.
Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

Sawyer has become an auto buy author for me. She just continues to write these books, no matter the genre, that I fall in love with. It doesn't matter if she has you skating on ice, working in a court room, or traveling back home in the South - she just connects with that part in side of you that craves a great read.

Coop and Eden just came alive for me during this read. Newberry was a quintessentially small, southern town with all kinds of characters and personality.

Eden left 14 years prior and in doing so, she ended her relationship with her grandmother and Coop. What she didn't realize was how much that would change her future. When she needs to get away from the limelight, she returns home to find home much different than she remembers.

Coop is not the same boy she left behind... now he is a man who knows what he wants and now his sights are set on Eden.

The famous rich guy/regular girl trope is one of my absolute favorites of all time. Only to now be replaced by the famous rich girl/regular guy trope. Jilted evoked all those deliciously warm fuzzy feelings we all got when we saw the movie Notting Hill for the first time where the big movie star falls hard for the normal guy. But what made Jilted even better was the fact that this famous woman and regular guy were in love many years before. And that would happen to also be another of my favorite tropes. Honestly, there was a 100% certainty that I was going to love this book.

Eden is such an amazing heroine. She's the movie star who never quite gave in to all the Hollywood bullshit. Despite her money and fame, she's still got heart. And when it gets broken, she returns home to her small hometown in Georgia to take a breather. And when she's met with a less-than-welcoming town, she still stays and tries to get to the bottom of things. And then tries to fix them. Eden is strong and confident and absolutely not a push-over. And I loved that about her.

But, her reaction to Cooper is the best part of all. He's the boy she loved and left and he's living in her house. Cooper was over her, but when Eden shows up again, it doesn't take long for him to start feeling things for her again. Especially when both of them realize that some long-held perceptions of each other are totally wrong. When the mysteries are debunked and the misconceptions cleared up, though, they're left in a difficult position. It's obvious they still love each other, but Eden's life in California and Cooper's life in Georgia are about as different as night and day.

It's no secret that Sawyer Bennett is one of my most favorite authors of all time. There's only one other author that I've read more books by. After putting 32 of Sawyer's books under my belt, you'd think the magic would start to wan. But, it seems like her stories just get better and better. And, I'm REALLY loving her Love Hurts series. I like how the books are sort of related with their subject matter, but they're not in any way tied together with characters or locations. I love the dual POVs and the sexy, steamy sex. The women are strong and the men are protective. I'm already ready for the next one.

What do you get with a Sawyer Bennett book? A Great read is what you get. You have a hollywood "a" Lister and the boy, turned man she left behind. This is a sexy, seductive and a little comical romance that will have you flipping page after page. Sawyer Bennett is a master at her craft and this book proves it. This story is told in alternating views.

Sawyer Bennett possesses writing magic!! I know when I pick up one of her books, I'm in for an enjoyable read. Jilted, a second chance romance, was just so freaking good! Eden, an Oscar winning actress, and Coop, a landscape designer, fell in love when they were teenagers. They were each other's first and so in love. Life happened and they ended up going their separate ways. Flash forward 14 years, to life happening once again, bringing them face to face.....living in the same house. To be honest, at first I was not a fan of Eden's but that quickly changed as I continued reading and got her backstory and I loved her! Coop on the other hand? I was #teamCoop from the very beginning. Sawyer gives us so much with this couple, a couple I absolutely loved.....humor, sadness, the right amount of angst and the hot sexy times she writes so well. There is much for them to move on from and I couldn't wait for them to get their HEA!!! I highly recommend this book, as I do with all of Sawyer Bennett's books.

Bennett is back with another story that will make your heart hurt . As everyone knows love hurts and this a perfect series name for these standalone stories. In Jilted the second book of the series , Bennett explores the idea of being jilted . In this day and idea not a foreign idea but told Bennett style which means layers and a good story.

Eden is the darling aspiring starlet that Hollywood loves. Nothing can go wrong. She just recently become engaged to the man that is the icing on the cake to her supposed dreams. A Hollywood IT actor that who just become a nightmare. As things have just blown up in her face at a red carpet premiere as she discovered he is a cheating bastard.

Just typical Hollywood drama for the world but for Eden this is her life. She is devastated as her dreams are falling apart. Eden is a small town girl at heart and whilst she embraced things and carved her space. She didn’t expect to be come a cliché and have everyone seeing her any but a starlet .

So like any woman with a problems on her mind. She runs home and this were the story becomes really juicy and interesting. As in her hometown she surely can recover and boost her emotions. She is the town darling as being one of those Goodnights. However things aren’t just that simple.

Whilst Goodnight name might be a institution around town. Eden isn’t it seems. The town is frosty to her and you have to wonder why. As so far this woman isn’t a bad sort of person. She is likeable for a famous person. She doesn’t have airs and she knows how to handle herself.

Eden maybe a kind hearted woman but her return to town is the final straw. Things aren’t too bad in the form of Coop though.. Her first serious boyfriend and the boy who broke her heart all those years ago. They were barely eighteen but it seems it had a massive impact on both as their reunion is electric.

Now poor Coop has had his favour share of problems of as well. He was seriously in love with Eden and things did a number of his heart as well. So he doesn’t expect the reaction he has when she returns. She matured into a more of a woman then he remembers and he doesn’t know what exactly do as his heart is hurting still from the past.

So it ironic but this book kinda becomes a cliché. Eden isn’t in the moon for anything special and Coop well he become the town playboy and is more then happy to help Eden . It a little bit formulaic with their relationship . They agree to a rebound relationship. Short term you get the idea. However Coop who is well respect in the town. He got a good business and treats woman well despite having short term relationships with them. But even Mr Likeable isn’t going to be free from the problems when Eden arrives home.

As there a whole lot of surprises waiting for Eden involving him and Bennett is only getting warmed up with their story. Expect the fireworks and a enjoyable story once these two find their grove.

Now whilst I enjoyed the book. I didn’t find it as a good as the first one. I’m a sucker for good old fashion second chances and that didn’t disappoint or the drama surrounding it. However there were certain secondary plot points that didn’t feel were done justice like it should have been explored more. I t need to be more well rounded to feel completed and totally understand the characters

I enjoyed it but I’m not in love as much as the first. Bennett has written a solid book but it isn’t working for me completely aside from the couple and the drama. It seem a little depthless when it came to certain things. There was layers don’t get me wrong but I wanted to dig deeper on a couple of things. Fans of second romances will enjoy this love hurt novel and will fall in love with the latest Bennett couple.

Jilt - to suddenly reject or abandon (a lover).

This is exactly what happened to Eden Goodnight. As she was on the red carpet, the paparazzi was throwing questions out at her and the one that hit home was, did she know her fiancé, Brad Wright, was stepping out on her with his newest co-star?

Eden took flight and fled back to her family home. There she runs into her first love, Coop, who was given, the house (along with Eden), when her grandmother passed away.

At the beginning the two of them are at odds and do some comical antics. Once things settle down, they decide to have rebound sex. From there, they are explosive together. The town thinks Eden shunned them when they most needed her, but she didn't and the issue is resolved.

Coop was dating Melissa, a bit of a tramp, and she causes all kinds of problems with Coop and Eden out of pure jealousy.

There is an expiration date on their relationship, but can Coop and Eden get past the hurt again as the time for her to depart draws nearer.

What a wonderfully written book. I truly enjoyed this one and am such a big Sawyer Bennett fan.

Writing my thoughts on this book is a bit tricky for me because I liked it but I feel like it should come with a warning haha.

This is a really nice story between two childhood friends who started a romantic relationship in high school. Then life came between them and they grew apart. Now it's time they meet again.

Eden and Coop were really nice characters. I liked Eden more than I liked Coop. I felt like he was so selfish at times. But together they were perfect. I had good laughs at some scenes so yes, I spent a good time with this book.

Still, I feel I should warn you about two things. First, people who don't like details about the male or female characters getting intimate with other women / men, be warned. There are some of them in this book.

Warning #2, lovers of friends-to-lovers stories like myself, there won't really be any glimpses of their childhood story, it's mainly them as a couple, before and now. But I liked it nonetheless. It's still a really enjoyable romantic story and who doesn't like that ?

Jilted by Sawyer Bennett is a sweet, sexy, small-town second-chance romance. Eden returns to her hometown, shamed and comes face-to-face with her high school sweetheart/first love, Coop. When both wind up living in the same house, hilarity ensues as they try to come to grips with each's return to the other's life. The story is funny yet emotional as these two former lovers struggle with their growing feelings for one another once again. The small town setting lends a fun angle to the story as the rumor mill spins constantly. Eden and Coop are sizzling hot together and Bennett packs Jilted full of sexy, steamy scenes that will definitely heat up your Kindle. It is a complete standalone even though it is listed as part of a series. With a HEA, Jilted is a wonderful, feel-good story!

Love this author to pieces but this one didn't flow for me. Overall seemed too cliche and not original in the story line. Ms. Bennett has blown me away with her work in the past so this just didn't add up to the work I know she is capable of. I did enjoy the first book of the series. I will pick up the next one for sure as well.
