Bo has just been made redundant and before applying for jobs her friend Kirsten persuades her to take a break and visit Kirsten's mother in Denmark. The weather is cold but the summerhouse is warm and there is somebody else there of interest to Bo.
It did take me a while to get into this book. It wasn't the best story I have read I have to be honest but I think I enjoyed it.

To be honest I couldn't get to the end of this book. I was looking forward to reading something new but it just didn't work for me. I was so fed up with the name Bo after the first few chapters I just couldn't take anymore. There is no depth to the story, it's just words on a piece of paper, nothing to entice me into Bo's world of the story as a whole at all.

I loved this book so much! It's so warm and cosy and perfect for autumn! An absolute treat at this time of year! I've never read Clara Christensen before but I will be waiting eagerly for her next book. This was absolutely wonderful and just so lovely for curling up with a blanket and a hot chocolate when the weather gets colder!

Thanks NetGalley for a copy of this book which I spent a very cosy evening reading. I'm now about to go shopping to hygge my house with new soft lighting, cushions and throws. A very gentle read, a tale of relationships both romantic and between friends. Only one thing I did not like was the frustration of never finding out what Simon's book was all about! I'd recommend this for a thought provoking and relaxing read.

I received a few chapters of this book. Felt like an appetizer to a romantic story.
An office clandestine romance between Bo and Ben, is what happens in these chapters. Bo soon outgrows the childish version of a relationship and soon makes some tough decision.
The author has started the book well, Bo's life is easily identifiable to the routine humdrum we all go through and her need to find something better.
I like that the author has made Bo into a strong woman who gives a chance to love but knows when to cut short.
I would love to read more works by this author.

i didn't spot that this was just a few chapters when I received this preview from netgalley. Whilst it was a nice read, I just didn't feel the love - or the hygge - which is what I was hoping for.

It was seriously lacking some oomph and took a while to get started, so a very generous 3* from me.

It was difficult to know how to judge this as I discovered when I had completed it, that I had not got the full book, just a sample.
As it went, it was fairly typical of the genre, but the reason for the title had not yet been made clear. when the sample ended.
I would probably give it a 3 star rating if it were complete, but feel that I can only give a sample 2 stars as I cannot be sure of where the story was going.

I will be posting on my blog too but wow what a start I definitely want to read this. Bo is easy to like and I'm not sure on Ben but I'm hooked.

I was dissapointed to learn that this was only a sneak preview of the full book, but the few chapters that I was able to read I fully enjoyed, and I look forward to the release of the full book!

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley but soon discovered that it was a preview. Unfortunately I don't feel that I can give the book a proper review.
The bit that I read was easy to follow and flowed nicely. Due to the content available I didn't get to read anything about the Hygge way of life that's very popular at the moment, I will assume that comes later on.
I don't think that I would buy the book to continue the story as the first few chapters were just ok.
Thank you to Clara Christensen, NetGalley and the publisher.

I really enjoyed this first chapter of Hygge and Kisses - I didn't notice when I requested that it was just the first chapter (I obviously jumped straight to the description!) so it's on my to read list when the rest comes out. I liked the writing style, and it really drew me in wanting to know what else happens. Can't wait to read the rest!

I enjoyed my sneaky peak and the style of writing too. But I was a bit unsure where the story was taking me. Maybe the whole book will be a different matter

I enjoyed reading this excerpt. I liked the way Bo's was portrayed, and was left wondering at the end what was going to happen to her, both in terms of her relationship and her job/lifestyle. I will definitely look out for this book when it is released.

Netgalley arc received from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This has been a "sneak-peek" of the first 2 chapters where the story just gets started, but still without any of the things mentioned in the blurb happening, so I don't feel entitled either to rate or review.

What I can say in good faith is that the main character, Bo, seems a totally nice and likeable girl and I would be interested to go on and learn what happens to her.

The title and cover of the book drew me, but I was then disappointed when I started reading. I couldn't connect to the heroine and wasn't drawn into the story. I didn't feel the Hygge.

I did not like the writing style: too many repetitions, too many sentences following the same pattern - and I seriously hope the grammar mistakes will be ironed out by the copy editing.

I really liked the short preview of this book. I can't wait to read the entire thing. I loved the concept.

I'd seen and heard about Hygge and Kisses in a few places so was excited to see it on Netgalley. I skimmed over the fact it was a preview and dove straight into the story. Bo sounds like any other woman in her mid-20's, wanting a relationship but not ready to leap into marriage.

I read the first handful of chapters with glee and am now desperate to read the whole thing. Very much looking forward to Bo's adventures in Denmark and everything else she encounters in the course of True Love... Wiill let you know if hygge helps in this case or not.

Love the amusing, conversational, friendly tone of the book - the plot idea itself makes me feel cosy! As a 27 year old girl, it feels very (if not, a little too!) relatable, will definitely be sharing with the girls!

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review, however this was only the first few chapters and therefore not very easy to review! I feel I was slightly mislead in the description of the book, as I was lead to believe it was the whole book, however I must admit that it is my fault for skimming over the first line of the description which clearly said it was the first few chapters.

With the chapters provided, there wasn't enough to read for the plot to get going, and therefore it is difficult to tell whether this would have panned out to be an enjoyable read or not. From what I did read, this seemed it would be the perfect chick-lit read, with just enough description of the characters without going over the top (I hate when books are padded out with far too many seemingly insignificant details), with prose that seemed easy to read without too much thought. I imagine this would be the perfect easy read for holiday - I always prefer to read things like this on holiday as the thought required is minimal, and therefore it is easy to escape and get submerged in the story.

I found no problems with the writing style and imagine that if I was to read the whole book, I'd actually really enjoy Christensen's style, but again, there wasn't enough content to get a good flavour.

I will however be looking out for the full version, as I imagine I will enjoy it. Unfortunately I could only offer two stars for this review, as I can hardly judge an entire book based on a few chapters alone.
