I didn't realise this was just a book preview when I requested it from Netgalley and I'm very sad that's all it was.
But it was enough to draw me in to the story and I would have kept reading. I imagine it would be one to curl up with on a rainy day.
Would I purchase it? Maybe

Just a small sample! Just an "OK" read, however not enough to make me want to read the complete book.

Firstly, the version I received wasn't a complete novel, so it may improve later. However, I found it very overwritten (descriptions of passing 'the flagship TopShop store' etc were obviously meant to create a London setting, but were over the top. The characters and plot were also rather cliched, so I'm not sure I would either recommend the novel, or take the time to read the rest of it.

Bo is dissatisfied with her life and with her secret relationship with Ben. There is lots of details about Bo's routine. One wonders why, she is happy to have a relationship with someone at work and be able to keep it a secret. Ben isn't married, so there is no real reason for the subterfuge. Story didn't really intrigue me and want me to read on. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the preview.

Had been looking forward to this book. But it didn't live up to my expectations. It was very droll and long, and it just wan't for me

I'm really torn over this book, it was okay but I didn't love it! I didn't really get pulled in with the characters and although by the end I started to like Bo, it took to long to get there. I'm not quite sure what was wrong, the authors style was fine, the premise was good..but for some reason I just didn't connect.

Though hygge may be a new lifestyle trend to the US, the practice has been in place for many years, and it was enjoyable to experience the beginnings of this book to see what hygge may bring into the story. Bo, for me, was quite relatable in her hesitance for life change. The excerpt was just enough to make me want to read more, and it will be great for a cold-weather read later this fall upon release.

I enjoyed the excerpt that I got to read but I'm not 100% sure that I would read the full book as it just didn't pull me in.

A great start to this novel. Bo is an interesting character and I am curious to see how hygee fits in with the story. I'll be pre ordering!

So far (the first few chapters to read) are ok. I can't decide if this will be a "must read" or an "ehh" type of book yet though. Nothing about hygge/being danish/anything yet. Looking forward to reading the rest~

Enough of a sample to whet any reader's appetite. The first few chapters not only set the scene, but also get you rooting for Bo. It provided enough incentive to want to see what happens to Bo next, and how the story develops.

The sneak peak of "Hygge and Kisses" was nothing particularly special but I'm still intrigued by its concept since I'm greatly fascinated by Danish culture. Will patiently wait for the book to come out then! :)
