If you love Martina Cole you will love this author. Showing real life on the eyes of real people . Fantastic.

This is the first book in a new series and is set in Manchester. Plenty unlikeable characters to be found in the two crime gangs. This is a book of many layers with plenty twists and turns and a touch of humour to keep you interested. Gangs, violence, grit and gore make this a very good read from Marnie Riches. A great ending just rounds it all up nicely! I would recommend this book. many thanks to Net Galley for my copy. I reviewed on Goodreads.

This is the first book I have read by Heather Burnside and it wont be my last.
Born Bad is the first book of a new trilogy and was gripping right from the start. A pacy read thats gritty and true to life, the characters are believable and realistic. This is one book that I read really quickly as I was so engrossed. Brilliant story telling.

If you enjoy authors like Martina Cole, Kimberley Chambers, Mandasue Heller etc you will love this writer, one not to be missed!

Thank you!

I loved this book and it is in my top 5 this year. It was easy to read and I devoured it in a day. I've never read anything by this author before but will certainly be looking out for her in the future. Will definitely be buying the next in the series! Would highly recommend

A great book following the lives of Adele and her brother Peter. Their Dad likes to drink and takes his bad temper out on Mum Shirley and often Peter too. When Peter gets into trouble his Dad throws him out after beating him and he ends up living in a squat with the wrong crowd of boys which leads him into being a career criminal. Adele try's to better herself and moves out as soon as she can but things don't go as planned. I don't want to spoil the story so you need to read this to find out what happens but I can tell you that like me you'll be waiting for the next book to find out what happens next. I highly recommend this book.
