Investigative reporter Dennis West is approached by an old friend, Toby Mason. He was a braniac turned male dancer. Toby is in a real mess. His employers have him really suspicious and fearful of his life. Dennis brings in his crew of consultants (high ranking government employees) to investigate. You have the suspense and drama of what is going on with the bosses and the mafia. Then you have the hilarious hijinks of the guys going undercover into the male dance clubs for their own investigations.

This is the first book in the Men of the Sisterhood series I have read, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I have to be honest, it started slow. I think when I started I was expecting a thriller or drama. What I got was even better. I cried at one point because I was laughing so hard. I had to keep reading to see what these dudes were going to do next and how all the details would end up. I’m definitely going to go back and read some of this series. Very entertaining and an easy read. Four out of five stars.

If you are into spies and the cloak and dagger scene, this is the book for you. When the top male model goes missing every year he wins, people start getting suspicious, like foul play might be involved. A hot spy with a knowledge of the industry and his sexy partner team up to find out what is going on. With thrills and chills and a few spills, this is one book for undercover....

Book 5 in the Sisterhood series. Fast paced with lots of twists and turns. Recently there has been some public rumble that the earlier books were a little too “graphic and brutal.” Hah! This one has toned down the violence too much. The men always were a little more reserved compared to the Sisterhood, this time we needed a little more suspense. Nonetheless, this is a delightful book. If you are new to the series not to worry – this reads as a stand-alone – I recommend going back quick and catching up! Enjoy! NetGalley and Kensington Books provided an advanced review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Another great story from Fern Michaels and the men of the sisterhood! As usual the men have their own brand of "vigilante justice" And didnt disappoint. Action packed and has you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next!

My rating: 1 of 5 stars, I didn't like it, at all.

Book 5 in the series.

I read most of the author's Sisterhood books, until they got too far out there. The concept of getting things from the male point of view intrigued me.

Sadly, didn't get through it. This is another too far out there plot for me to enjoy. I can only suspend my disbelief so far! Add to that, a certain political figure was mentioned, and I stopped reading. I don't want real life politics in my fiction, even if it's only briefly mentioned. We get bombarded enough with it as it is.

The men of the Sisterhood a super club adult entertainment franchise which they feel is really a front for a major drug trafficking operation. Toby is a nerdy friend of Dennis’s from school that brings this to the men's attention. The club owner knows about Toby’s suspicions and this creates danger for Toby. Dennis is a reporter and went to the men of the Sisterhood and request that they help Toby. Toby is working as a dancer. The men of the Sisterhood go undercover to infiltrate the operation.
I like this story a lot. It was a quick easy read. I would have liked backstory but didn’t realize this was the fifth book from a series. It would have fit together a lot better if I had read the previous book I am sure I think I will probably go back to read them if I can find them. But I still enjoyed this a lot and it made me laugh at times. I loved it when the guys were in dresses. It did drag a little for me at times though. I enjoyed this and I really liked the characters and the ins and outs of this story and i recommend. But read the other books first.

I have not been a consistent reader of all the books in the series. . The back blurb of this story interested me and the story is well written and well paced and delivered the promise of the black blurb.
Dennis West along with his fellow reporters at the Post has just wrapped a story that is sure to win him a Pulitzer prize.   Back in Washington DC the next story walks in and delivers itself to him all wrapped up in a pretty bow.  Toby Mason is an old friend who has revamped himself from a nerdy chemist into a buff gorgeous dancer at the Supper Club.  Unfortunately it appears that his patrons who run the Supper Clubs might be involved in drugs and murder. Dennis along with the rest of the guys of the sisterhood gather to discuss the merits of the case and plan the expose.
There's a lot of fun and laughter as the men employ all the tricks of theater and make up to transform themselves into women in order to get inside the Supper Club and support Toby.  Since their membership includes the Whos Who of the British and American spy service they deploy their assets admirably on the case including protection for Toby while he stays in character at the Supper Club to give the team a chance to expose the corruption.
There is a fair bit of ugliness in the interactions between the drug kingpin with Todd's patron.  The men put together and execute a clever plan to bring down a drug lord and his minions and put a stop to a drug channel that is flooding the country with drugs.
I haven't read any of the stories featuring the women in some time so it was fun to catch up on what's going on in their lives as well.   It's a well written story that will engage the reader from beginning to end and a great lesson in the evils of greed.

A quick easy read. It was a nice enough story with a good premise and good writing that falls just short of being great. I attribute that to the fact that this is a sequel in a series I'm unfamiliar with. I believe I would probably have like it more if I'd read the prior books in the series.

The Men of the Sisterhood are at it again! the newest mission involves fighting corruption and helping an old friend. The "consultants" and the men of BOLO do what they do best - going undercover and bringing their A material to correct and infiltrate a criminal network. Fern Michaels delivers a great story and once again proves why she is a master story teller! Thank you for the opportunity to have read this book prior to publication--- I loved every word!

I adore Fern Michaels, however, this one was not as good as others. This is ...mild...book compared to her others. It wasn't as exciting. It did not have the typical Bang she writes.

Fern Michaels always has great covers! For some reason, I don't think I had ever read anything by her. An interesting premise against a backdrop of male exotic dancers which may be a front for something far more sinister and illegal.

I never cease to be amazed at just how much Fern Michaels has milked the Sisterhood series idea—in addition to the Sisterhood, the Godmothers and now the Man of the Sisterhood. In this book, the men go after a Supper Club adult-entertainment franchise, which they suspect is really a front for a major drug trafficking operation. Unfortunately for Toby, a nerdy friend of Dennis from school, who bring this to their attention, the club owners have become wise to his suspicions, creating danger for him. The men of the sisterhood go undercover to infiltrate the operation, bringing out new moves and ideas to catch their prey. Filled with an odd assortment of seemingly unbelievable antics, this book is typical of the series—and of the other two series. The book is an easy read for someone who is just looking to pass the time, definitely not something deep or dramatic. The story is intriguing and flows quickly. The characters are true to form and what a reader can expect and remember from other books. Just not sure how much more the author will be able to keep going in this vein. A good book to kill some time or take to the beach. I received this from NetGalley to read and review.

Not my favorite read from Fern Michaels. I had a hard time getting into the story and connecting with the characters. Other books by this author have flowed much smoother.

Generally, I like this author and sat down expecting to spend an enjoyable time reading this latest book. Sadly, that was not the case. The prologue got me interested, but then the first chapter started ranting and raving about Trump and it turned me off. I am so sick of politics that I rarely watch the national news anymore, and the last thing I want to do when I read to escape is to be sucked back in. The description of this book sounds good, and it may be, but it wasn't for me.

I love a good book that makes me laugh, and knowing all these characters from The Sisterhood Series and now their own series makes me laugh so much I end up crying at their antics. Harry Wong is too funny in this book.

In this adventure of the men Dennis runs into an old friend he hasn't seen since college and his friend needs some help. While the women are tied up with their own adventure the men vote and take his case but not before more information comes in.

This book is a book for change in the group and some is good, some shocking and some is sad. Things don't always stay the same and with time change comes.

The women are up against the administration with helping the vets and making them look bad.

The guys are up against supper club owners and the cartel. The men are also having to swallow their pride. Maggie is pulled away to help the women.

Don't miss this adventure and the laughter that comes with this story. If you haven't read any books before this one I suggest you read up on Michaels' Sisterhood Series and the Men of the Sisterhood before reading this book so you have the appropriate background.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

High Stakes is the fifth book in the Men of the Sisterhood series written by one of my favorite authors, Fern Michaels. This is a funny, quick read. It's amazing what the men get into when the women are away. Thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Books/ Zebra Romance for the advance copy.
