It focuses on the family of Jane who seems to be a harrassed mother who seems to detest having to spend anytime with her young son George! She doesn't even seem to like spending much time with her husband either to be fair!

When in the first few pages both the husband & the wife have cheated it definitely put me off reading anymore

This was a hilarious read from start to finish. The characters were fantastic and it was easy to read whilst sitting by the side of the pool

There is just something about this authors prose that pulls me in. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, as I did the previous tale with links to this one. Being a detestor of reality TV, I just was so tickled at the behind-the-scenes hilarity and intrigue that kept me hoppin’ & gigglin’ all the way through. Check this one out y’all, this author is definitely one of my new faves!

It's a funny story of a family on vacation with a teenaged babysitter, a Big Brother type reality show and people filled with self importance. It shows people who crave attention in a humorous way.

Jane and Patrick have decided to decamp to Ibiza for a summer holiday and some precious 'family time'. However Jane has made sure that neighbour Belle is coming along as an au pair to look after young George. Belle is excited as her boyfriend Jas is going to be in Ibiza so she can spend some time clubbing with him when Jane's demands let her. Meanwhile Jas' boss, contemporary artist Phillip, will also be in Ibiza as part of a celebrity reality show called 'Ibiza (Or Bust)'. As so many residents of The Square descend on the White Isle, scandal is never far from the surface.

Millard's first novel, 'The Square', was a satirical look as the lives of a small sector of society. Here those same characters and social mores are transported to the island of Ibiza, popular with many different cultural groups. The story is frenetic and borders on cliche at times but is irrepressibly energetic and full of knowing fun. This is ideal holiday reading, fun and frothy but with little depth. That's no bad thing as it doesn't pretend to be anything more.

This is an okay read hard to follow with all the different point of views put in there. To many contestants in the beginning to be able to tell who is who and to be able to follow along at any length. Was hoping this would be a great book but disappointed in it.

4☆ Fun, cheeky Summer Read

The Brazilian is a very fun, cheeky, adventurous, humorous read.

From the very first page Rosie had me laughing out loud. A Brazilian wax will never be the same lol
This is my first book by Rosie and I'm looking forward to reading more!

It's jam packed full of humorous, quirky characters.

All are holidaymakers in Ibiza.
Except some are there for a reality tv show, some are there for a so called family holiday, 2 young people sneaking around (one a Nanny & the other sneaked to Ibiza with a walking club to be with he's girlfiend), a walking holiday group, tv crew. & a celeb.

It's non stop craziness.

If I say anymore then I will ruin the story. But let's just say things are not what they Seem, and for some reason or another the contestants and the people on holiday seem to know each other not all of them but some.

My favourite Character was Jane, her witty thoughts and opinions had me laughing out loud.
She goes to Ibiza with her husband who she isn't really getting on with and her son George who is desperate for attention.

But she brings Belle her Nanny along so she can have adult time.
But Belle has other ideas. She regretfully leaves out her boyfriend is also going to be in Ibiza and they plan to have as much fun as possible.
I mean what could possibly go wrong!!!

The reality TV show contestants are a very eclectic bunch of B list celebs, all desperate to make it big.
The show Ibiza or Bust is clever and has the celebs doing all kinds of things. You really have to read it to find out more!

The only thing that I found could be confusing is that there is so many characters, each chapter is told by a different character. So you sometimes have to try and second guess who the chapter is referring too.
Especially early on with the tv show contestants when you are trying to learn who each one is.

Although this is a based on a reality tv show, please don't be put off reading it as there is so many interesting fun, quirky, eclectic characters and storylines that there is more this book has to give!

But overall a quick, fun read.
Definetly recommend this book to readers who love comedy, chick lit, holiday reads, reality shows, looking for a fun & easy summer read.

This had me laughing so much, the characters are great and had me chuckling at every turn of the page. Rosie writes really well, she knows how far to go and has obviously researched well.

This is one of the top ten books everyone needs in their case or backpack this year, they certainly will not be disappointed. It has fun, emotion, entertainment and lots of summer sun. Grab a Pina Colada and The Brazilian and get on that sun lounger and encounter a summer read you will never forget
