Another sexy menage is breaking out in the Birmingham Rebels NFL crowd! There’s something about the water at this training facility I think … because they all seem to want to double it up! 🙂 It’s another sexy story from Samantha Kane with an underlying past that the characters are having to overcome and move on from in order to find their happily ever after. Must be okay with menage and M/M!
Rookie Tom Kelly got his sexual appetite heated up with a bunch of the Rebels crew a few months back, and now he’s living the life. He’s ready and willing for just about anything, but he’s secretly yearning for a three-way relationship with sexy Carmina de la Cruz … and his best friend Danny Smith!
Carmina is Sam’s best friend who was injured in the Army and moved to be closer to him as she gets her life figured out. She’s been tempted by Tom for awhile now … but can she trust herself and her issues to be able to handle him? And what about the attraction she also has to his friend Danny?
Danny enjoys his close friendship with Tom, but he’s not anything like him in his extracurricular activities. He really is attracted to Carmina though … and as he watches them together and spends time with him, he can’t resist he wants Tom too!

Great book! LookING forward to reading more by this author!

I received this ARC from Netgalley for an honest review.
Carmina is coming back from a devastating injury and a bad time in Afganistan. She hasn't been with anyone in over three years but there are two interesting guys on the Rebels team. One or more could steal her heart.

I like the series but loves the relationships in Misconduct. Had all the right elements in a MMF romance.
I wasn't sure where the author was going with this book. These three characters are so very different- a wounded Veteran, an all american player, and a guy looking for revenge. While reading I constantly thought they are never going to get there HEA.
Tom is a player looking for fun and not interested in settling down. He's been stifled in his early youth but now he's free an loving every minute of it. He's been waiting for his best friend Danny to admit they could be more but has finally captures Carminas attention.
I was happy to see our wounded Veteran Carmina getting her own happy ending. This woman has been through a lot but she is determined not to give up. I liked reading her thought, what she overcame and want she still needs to overcome. She's tough and sexy rolled into one. She's at an impasse when she wants both Tom and Danny. At one point I wasn't sure she liked either one.
Danny is an angry guy. He's got hang ups from his youth that continue to haunt him . He's determined to settle the score before he can build a relationship. He wants Carmina but can admit he wants Tom too.
Can they give him what he needs? The answer is YES!!!!! When these three finally came together it was epic. I loved how Tom took the dominant position. This worked with both Carmina and Danny. They all seemed to click. The relationships between the pair didn't seem forced bit a nature progression of their relationship.
Past characters are also in the book but it only enhanced the story. I liked reconnecting with Sam and his brotherly relationship with Carmina. I found this to be a great addition to the series.

My first book from Samantha Kane and she's got a new fan!! I loved Danny, Tom and Carmina They were so funny together. They complimented each other perfectly.

This book is hot, hot, hot!! If you haven't read the previous books in this series, I recommend that you do as there is back story on some things that the characters talk about in this book. This one is about Tom Kelly, Danny Smith, and Carmelina De La Cruz. Tom and Danny are best friends fron the football team. Carmelina is Sam's best friend, although they consider themselves to be siblings/family. Carmelina is attracted to both Danny and Tom although as we know from previously she has some issues. Tom is attracted to both Carmelina and Danny although he tries to hide it from Danny. And Danny tries to hide his attraction to both! And when they all work through their various issues and quirks? It is hot as hell!! I really loved these characters together. They care so much for other people and to see them reach that point where they are happy together, it is priceless! Great book!

Samantha Kane offers another hot story called "Misconduct" as her fourth book in her Birmingham Rebels series.
Tom Kelly may look like a typical All-American hometown boy but this rookie player has a reputation where the ladies and the guys are concerned. Though he has been playing the field he has been interested in his football buddy’s army friend, Caramina de la Cruz.
Caramina has moved to Birmingham away from her well meaning family to be near her Army buddy who could relate to what she is going though and was the only other person in their unit to survive the bomb which injured them both while they were overseas. She has been working hard on getting her speech back after her head trauma. Two things on her to-do list is one to get a job to give herself something to do outside her apartment. The next item is to find a guy and Tom seems to know what she needs, while she wonders if Tom’s best friend and roommate, Danny Smith, would also fulfill a fantasy of hers at the same time.
Danny may be interested in Caramina but does not want to cut in knowing Tom has his eye on her. Besides he has too much of his own baggage handling his anger issues over an incident that occurred during high school and the need to get some justice.
As with all Rebel HEA relationships, the getting to know you steps are a little shaky at first though each person involved wants and will need to give what the other two craves to satisfy their own needs.

My favorite fantasy read is menage. When you mix in hot football players I'm so ready to read.
This story is about Carmina de la Cruz, Linebacker Sam Taylor's (from Jacked Up) best friend from the war. They served together and she has a traumatic brain injury that's she's recovering from. Because she hangs out so much with Sam she's met all the guys on the Rebel's football team. Within his circle of friends is Nebraska farm boy Rookie running back Tom Kelly. He has discovered he is definitely bi and with his easy way is busy exploring his options. Receiver Danny Smith has demons of his own from his past that he is struggling with that we learned about in Broken Play. In that book he found out that he likes a bit of bondage and he's really NOT OK with that. He's definitely not bi.
I love watching this team support each other. Every one of the guys are a misfit somehow. This is a last chance team but it becomes their strength. They are there for each other. The guys have embraced Carmina into their group with her trouble communicating with others. They want to help her heal. It was delightful to watch Tom try to figure out what turns Carmina on and see poor Danny struggle with his attraction to both of these people. Samantha is the queen of chemistry and finding a way to the happy ever after. Thank you for the opportunity to review this edition of the Birmingham Rebels.

Holy hotness. When you have two hot football players who want you and you want both what do you do? What if they also want each other?
Carmine is recovering from a brain injury and finds herself in this predicament

I liked how Kane wrote about a Army veteran female having mental and physical damage from combat. Carmina is learning to be independent after her TBI when she relocated to Birmingham to be closer to the only other surviving member in her unit. Carmina is attracted to Tom and Danny best friends and players on the Rebel NFL team who live in her building. Who will win her heart and be there for her? BOTH!
Love Kane's series of the Rebels I am hoping she continues with more players in the future. Kane can write triads with great emotional depth.

Title: Misconduct

Although I am a big Samantha Kane fan (Brothers in Arms is the GREATEST!), I never expected to like the Birmingham Rebels series. I don’t like team sports, and I especially don’t like football, but these books are wonderful. And that says something . . . if I enjoy books that take place in a setting that I have no interest in, they must be good.
This one, which is book four, is no exception. Samantha Kane’s books have a continuing storyline, but there are no cliffhangers. It’s just that situations from previous books come up again and the team members and their mates show up as well. This entire series is like a story of an extended family. Obviously, it would be best to read them in order.
Anyway, Tom is the All-American-Boy who everybody loves. Carmina is recovering from injuries she received as a soldier in Afghanistan and is very self-conscious about the disability she is striving to overcome. Danny is angry. That is the best way to describe him. He has good reasons, but he has let his anger control everything in his life.
And that’s why this is a four star and not a five star book. Tom is great, but Carmina and Danny are still too focussed on the past. Carmina considers herself broken and in need of fixing. Those are her words. She keeps poking herself in the head when she talks about her problems. Danny needs to get over the past. Yes, something terrible happened, but get over it and move on.
Of course, most of this works out at the end, and a wonderful thing about Samantha Kane’s books is that everything isn’t tied up in a beautiful bow. Life is not perfect. However, her characters are willing to work to make things as good as they can be.
This book was sent to me by NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Samantha Kane is a really great author, fantastic story telling abilities. Misconduct was a captivating story with three charismatic characters who each shined in their own right and when brought together steamed up the pages. Very good read from beginning to end. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for a honest review.

I could not wait to read this book! I was so excited to read Carmina's story and see how she found love. This book does not disappoint, it is hot and steamy! It is also sweet and has some really great characters! It was great to see her grow and start putting up some boundaries around Sam and her family and how much they are involved in her life. When they went Christmas tree shopping and shopping for the decorations then decorating the tree, I was just laughing and it was such a fun point in the story.

Wow! This book. This one had me sucked in from the first few pages. I only put it down when I had to but I still finished it in one day....not 24 hours, but I started it in the morning and I wasn't going to bed until I was done. The story, the chemistry, the extra suspense involving the characters featured in past books that tied to this one....just all so good. You can definitely read this as a stand alone, but I don't recommend it. It will mean so much more if have read the others and they are all good too! I voluntarily read an arc and left a review.

Misconduct is the fourth book in Samantha Kane's Birmingham Rebels series. I do believe that reading the first three books in this series help to frame some of what is referenced in the book and it also gives you background and basis on some of the relationships that are referenced.
Carmina de la Cruz is still trying to find her new normal after being injured by an IED in Afghanistan. She suffered a traumatic brain injury and there are many things she is either learning to deal with or things that she desperately wants to get back to normal. One of those things is feeling like a woman. It has been three long years since she has felt like a woman. Because her best friend Sam plays for the Rebels, she spends a lot of time around the team and there have been not one, but two players who have caught her eye and she wonders if they might be the answer to her conundrum.
Tom Kelly might be a rookie on the field, but he definitely isn't when it comes to knowing what he's doing in the bedroom. He certainly isn't hurting for companions and he doesn't discriminate, men, women, it doesn't matter to him as long as they are willing. When he learns of Carmina's plight, he's quick to want to help her out. Not only does he find her attractive, he's always fighting an attraction to his best friend and teammate Danny Smith.
Danny has dabbled once with a man and he swears he'll never do it again, however there is a pull not only to Carmina, but also to Tom. As the three of them learn more about one another, it becomes apparent that Tom knows exactly what both Danny and Carmina needs. The question is, can Tom convince Danny to give he and Carmina a chance and can the guys make Carmina shut her mind off in order to get back what she's lost for so long?
This book is definitely hot and is a great companion to the first books in this series. I do feel that this one delves a little deeper into the idea of letting go, trusting yourself, what you're feeling and most importantly to allow love into your life, regardless of what shape that comes in. I really enjoyed this addition to the series!

I really enjoyed this book, much more so than the last one. Was any of it believable (I mean, how many menage couples can you have in one team)? Absolutely not, but it was still hot. However, this book actually had a pretty good story line with some depth to the characters. I almost think you need to read Book 1 first to get the background that was referenced an awful lot in this book though. I didn't read Book 1, so when what happened in that one kept coming up, I was a bit lost as to the significance of some parts until they were explained later. But it's not necessary and this can be read as a standalone.
I remembered Tom & Danny from the last book - they certainly weren't my favorite characters then because of that crazy party at their apartment that hurt Jane/Sam/King. But they grew on me in this book, especially Tom. We also met Carmina previously. She suffered a traumatic brain injury after an IED exploded in Afghanistan. Her and Sam were the only ones who survived. She's been making a lot of progress over the last couple of years though and can now talk pretty well compared to the difficulties she had communicating before. I loved that Tom and Danny didn't care about her disability and was there for her regardless.
Tom is openly bisexual and is definitely a player. He's never lacking for company, but he's had a crush on Carmina for a while and she continues to ignore him. Tom is Danny's roommate and lately he's begun developing feelings for Danny. But of course Danny is straight and wants nothing to do with what Tom is offering. Carmina is ready to step out into the dating world again, or at least wants to get laid, so she shows up at Tom's party one night. She hasn't been able to have an orgasm in the last 3 years since her injury, so she's desperate now. She decides to let Tom be the guy to help her overcome that issue. Eventually, Carmina ends up with Danny and then goes back to Tom. Eventually they all three get together, but it's not until the end of the book when that happens really.
Tom was incredibly sweet to Carmina, quite to my surprise. He turned out to be such a softy underneath that playboy status, not just to Carmina, but also to Danny and those that he cared about. I loved everything about Tom, especially when his bossy side came out in bed.
Danny took a while to grow on me. He definitely had his hangups and it was holding him back from a relationship. When he did finally get over it, it was all kind of rushed and happened suddenly it seemed. I didn't buy it...but it paved the way for him to be with Tom & Carmina.
Carmina turned out to be quite a player too in this one lol - well, with only two guys and only in the beginning of the book. I really didn't think she had it in her, so she surprised me when she came out of that shy shell. I was really happy for her though because you could see how much she struggled with any sort of interactions with people in the last book.
The ending was left wide open, which was disappointing since we didn't see how they were perceived in public or by their peers. It just sort of ended with them deciding to give things a go as a couple and I feel like we didn't get any closure or a finale to their story, not like the last book. That's my only real complaint, otherwise, this is a steamy, albeit unrealistic, read.

Another hot Rebels threesome. This problem characters are good for each other.
I received a ARC from netgalley for a honest review.

I'm sorry, but this one just isn't for me. DNF at 55%. Also, when Danny and Tom get together for the first time was really weird, honestly I'm not even sure that was consensual.

Another 10 star - touchdown pass - for Samantha Kane! The Rebels are in it to win it! ~ Heather, White Hot Reads
Samantha Kane is one of my go to authors. Once I found the Rebels I was hooked. I can't even describe the love I have for her prose and characters. From Broken Play to now, I'm in sexy, sassy, football heaven! I'm a Southern girl at heart. Born and raised in Texas where football is King... and I don't mean King Ulupoka.
The Rebels are the kind of team that I'm totally captivated by, both on and off the field. From the very beginning they've had to work their sexy backsides, nearly off, to develop a rapport. They needed to learn to trust each other. This started in Broken Play and has been an underlying theme throughout the rest of the series, to date. And it's perfect. It's all about team work.
Now, let's dive between the sheets. There is no shortage of steam coming from this bed. Tom, Danny and Carmina are HOT, HOT, HOT! (See what I did there?) As with anyone they each have their own demons that they are fighting, but together, they help each other overcome.
"You couldn't have room for love when bitterness filled your heart." <---- Talk about poignant. This totally struck a cord with me. As humans love is a basic necessity for us. Until we step away from whatever is filling our body, minds and souls with bitterness and negativity, there is no room for love. And this is my reminder to let it all go.
I think it's imperative for us to take away something from every experience we have, and books are experiences also. This will be mine. From the flames blazing out of the sheets and the last second touch down passes, the Rebels continue to teach me lessons of life and love! #TeamRebels

Tom no longer questions who he is interested in. He is tired of one night stands and pushing the boundaries of fantasies that have long run rampant in his head. Carmina is still struggling with who she is and just wants to be normal after being wounded while serving her country. She does not let her injury define her and wants to reclaim the life she once had. She slowly begins to spread her wings with Tom but her attention never wanders far from Danny, Tom's best friend and teammate. Danny constantly denies how he feels and struggles with how he can truly be happy. The three of them together complete the other as part of themselves was missing. It takes each one of them conquering their fears to truly come together.
