Having not read the first book in this series, I enjoyed it so much and can't wait to read book 1 and any other book by this author.

I loved this story. Gemma is a fun main character and this story was well written and very enjoyable.
Renalta Van Markoff is a mystery writer who suddenly decides a trip to Cape Cod is needed and a book signing at the local book store is a must.
The famous author pens a series that puts well known Sherlock Holmes in a bad light. While not everyone appreciates her writing there are others that are obsessed with her.
When tempers flare during a sudden outburst at the book signing, things go from bad to worse when the author collapses.
Did Renalta Van Markoff collapse due to over exertion or is she a victim of foul play.
This story was very good and I look forward to reading more in the series.
