Declan O’Brien hates working for the Victims Services unit. He's worked hard to get where he's at as A.D.A. and doesn't want to backslide. When he learns the reason for his stepping down to take over in the V.S.U., he has a change of heart. With his boss and mentor ill, Declan is willing to fill his shoes until he can make a comeback.

Melissa Fenske is hearing impaired, but that's never stopped her from doing her job, and excelling at it. She is not overjoyed that Declan will be the one taking over her adoptive father's unit, but Melissa is willing to do the work needed regardless to keep things running smoothly. Imagine her surprise when Declan shows a whole other side to his person. Melissa and Declan are soon spending time together in and out of work. Could he be the one she's been missing in her life?

I really like author Cecy Robson. She has such a fresh and unique way of bringing her characters and plots to life. She has such a keen eye for detail and her novels never fail to keep me up late reading. Ms. Robson's most recent novel, FEEL ME, is a little different from what I normally read, but I've got to admit that I was captivated. It is raw, emotional and has just the right amount of romance mixed in.

Feel me is a great deep story. I like the writing the plot and the characters. This is my first book from the series and I am intrigued to see what happened in the previous one. The story is deep with scares and story with emotions and lost. I loved both Declan and Mellissa both strong and caring. Their chemistry of the hock hot. I really enjoyed reading their story.

I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

Feel Me is thoughtful and well written. Declan O'Brien is the second eldest member of his large family. He's the prodigy, the one everyone expected to succeed. And succeed he has. He's just been named the acting DA by the current DA, Miles Fenske, when Miles is diagnosed with colon cancer and needs to step down while he's being treated. Miles' daughter, Melissa, who is the head of the Victim Services unit, strongly dislikes Declan, and is the one woman who seemingly doesn't cave to his panty-melting persona and charming grin. But, with good reason, because from their very first meeting, where Declan bumbled like an idiot and made himself look like a classless jerk, Melissa has thought of him as the ass that he appears to be.

Now that Declan is transitioning to a new position, Miles has asked Melissa to help Declan with that transition. Working together won't be an easy ride for the two, especially when the sexual tension between them peaks and they can no longer deny themselves. But, Melissa hasn't had an easy life, and it's impacted her in ways Declan can't possibly understand, so a relationship between them is fraught with obstacles. Born with a severe hearing impairment, then at the age of 6, when her junkie mother tried to sell her to a drunk, high sleazebag, Melissa never knew love until Miles, the ADA assigned to her case, took one look at her and fell in love with this adorable, frightened little girl. But, her hearing impairment limited Melissa's ability to socialize with the outside world, as did all the cruel things people said to her as a child. So, it's normal that she has a lot of insecurities, and doesn't trust easily. So, how will she learn to trust Declan, the man, who only a few weeks prior, she detested? The man who has told her that he doesn't believe in love or commitment? Well, he believes in commitment, he's "Committed to being the youngest D.A. in Pennsylvania's history and the next in line for mayor." Beyond that, though, Declan is a commitment-phobe who's never had a serious relationship, and dates women who aren't looking for anything serious. Melissa is different, though, not just in appearance (she's curvy and all woman, unlike the stick thin, fake bimbos he's used to), and she just might be the one to get Declan to believe in love. That is, if he can get past his phobia and realize that love is real, and that he can have it if he allows himself to have it with her.

I love Melissa. She's the kind of heroine I always wish more authors would write: she's strong, smart, dedicated, and kind. She doesn't back down when it comes to doing the right thing, and she calls Declan out on all his bullshit. I had a harder time with Declan. He came across just as Melissa saw him at first: arrogant and downright ridiculous at times for all his declarations at not believing in love. But, when he finally opened himself up to Melissa at the end, I could finally see what she had seen in him all along. Getting to that point, though, took me nearly the entire book, and I wished he had been able to turn himself around earlier. Other than that, I really like Feel Me. It's a realistic look at love between two ordinary people with baggage, that are able to finally make their relationship work.

I love this series and this family. The O'Brien Family are a loud, no filter, loving family. Each member would lay down their life for their family and the ones they love. They are all smart and driven and successful in their own way. Declan is the assistant DA and wants to eventually be mayor of Philly. He has worked long and tireless hours and made numerous sacrifices. He does not believe in love for himself. He watched his brothers and his sister fall and is very happy for them. His future is the governor. Melissa is victims advocate and works tirelessly with the DA to get help and justice for them. She had a rough childhood but was rescued by her adoptive father, the DA. She is also hearing impaired and has some issues about the way people treat her. She first met Declan it was less than perfect. She did not like him so when they have to work together she is less than excited. They have they ups and downs due to their insecurities, The story follows the pattern of the previous books with friendship to romance, crazy family gatherings and funny lines. The author has a talent for mixing serious issues and adding a bit of humor to keep if from getting too dark. Great characters and a great story.

FEEL ME is a delightful and refreshing story. It is the fourth book in the O’Brien family series and is a standalone, although the characters are interconnected. This is the first book I have read by Cecy Robson and now I want to read the other three books in this series.

Declan O’Brien, an assistant district attorney and Melissa Fenski are thrown together when they both work in the sexual assault unit. Declan is used to women throwing themselves at him but Melissa doesn't show any interest and disagrees with him all the time. Melissa is strong and opinionated and Declan finds himself attracted to her brains and her fiery passion.

Melissa is partially deaf and has a difficult time dealing with people's careless attitude about her impairment. Even though it hasn't been easy for her, Melissa has worked hard towards her goals and is well respected and successful in her field. She is grounded, committed and driven and loves her job helping abused women and children. She works tirelessly for the victims of abuse, although it can be a heartbreaking thankless job.

Even though Declan is successful and confident, he has a sweet side underneath his good looks and cocky attitude and he sincerely wants to help others. Declan is a womanizer and doesn't believe in love and his sole focus is on his career. He doesn't have room in his life for Melissa but yet he can't seem to resist her. Declan doesn't care about Melissa's disability and his compassion and caring stole my heart. They are both stubborn and opinionated and argue a lot but there is also a lot of chemistry between them.

What I enjoyed the most about this story is the large, close knit, boisterous O’Brien family. They keep Declan grounded. Most people agree with everything Declan says but his family is not afraid to express their opinions and don't care about hurting Declan’s feeling feeling. They are also the first ones to defend Declan and he knows they will always have his back.

Feel Me is the latest release in Cecy Robson's O'Brien Family series and I've been I've been looking forward to Declan and Melissa's book ever since we saw their first meeting. I love the way confident Declan, the man who can charm any woman he comes into contact with, constantly puts his foot in his mouth around Melissa. He's the kind of guy that has women falling all over him but when it comes to Melissa he gets so flustered and makes all the wrong moves and it was just so funny to see him wrong footed all the time.

Declan is one of the oldest O'Briens and after the death of his father he was determined to do whatever he could to look after his mother and younger siblings. He has put everything into his career to achieve that goal and is now one of the youngest Assistant District Attorneys in Philly, his goals don't end there though and he continues to focus on his goal of eventually becoming mayor. Declan doesn't believe in love, he saw the way his father treated his mother and is convinced that relationships aren't worth the effort so he's very careful never to get involved with anyone who wants more than a couple of nights of fun. The latest step in his career ladder puts him in charge of the department Melissa works for, the attraction he feels for her is intense but there is no way he'd ever get involved with anyone he works with, especially not his boss's daughter.

Melissa is the head of Victim Services, it's her job to give a voice to people who need it most and her background means she is uniquely qualified for the role. Born hearing impaired to a drug addicted mother Melissa didn't get the best start in life but everything changed for her when she was adopted by Miles Fenske, the current District Attorney and Declan's boss. Her previous interactions with Declan haven't left a good impression and she has concerns about his ability to interact with vulnerable women and children she works with every day. Declan may not have made a good first impression but it doesn't take long for Melissa to realise that she was wrong about him and to discover how well they work together. Close proximity increases the attraction between them but Melissa would be crazy to risk a relationship with a man who doesn't believe in love. Wouldn't she?

I loved both of these characters and Melissa was fantastic, she's confident in her abilities and doesn't let her hearing impairment hamper her in any way. She has fears and insecurities like any woman but overall she sees what she wants and she goes after it. It was great to read about a heroine with a disability where her hearing impairment is just a part of her character and not something she was defined by, of course it effected her day to day life but it was never made into a big deal or a source of conflict in the story. Declan was the right mix of cocky alpha male with a vulnerable side. The way he kept getting things wrong around Melissa made him easier to relate to and stopped him from being too full of himself. I enjoyed the banter between him and his siblings and the way they all teased him about his growing feelings for Melissa, it was fun to catch up with the others and see how they're all getting on with their lives.

Feel Me is another brilliant instalment to the series and I'm looking forward to seeing the remaining brothers get their own happily ever after.

4.5 STARS ✨

Excellent book! I so enjoyed reading this one. I really like how the main character isn't perfect and how they don't have the perfect relationship but find ways to make it work. I also loved the family interactions in this series. Family series are awesome. I love getting to know all the members.
Cecy Robson is a great author and writes awesome books. If your looking for a new read try out this series.
Thanks NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Final Score - 4.5 Stars!

I love the O'Brien siblings, but Declan has always been a mystery to me. Well, he's a mystery no longer! Declan is strong, likable, focused and has a strong sense of family. and Melissa is strong, sweet natured, and has a strong sense of justice for her charges. These are characters I easily connected with as they embodied all the qualities that speak to my heart. But boy did their story start out all wrong ...

I loved watching their relationship unfold, the very strong and obvious attraction on both their parts, however every time they found themselves in the same room - Declan would somehow say something to offend/annoy Melissa and they'd end up arguing and/or hurting each other. Declan just couldn't help that "foot in mouth" syndrome.

These two not only made me laugh out loud with their banter, they made me swoon! However frustrating Declan could be - on more than one occasion - never once did I question them not getting together. And although Declan was convinced love and a happily ever after wasn't in the cards for him, Melissa proved him wrong at every turn ... and it was beautiful to witness. How could he not fall for her? And thus we not fall for him. *swoon*

The storyline was well written, with each book in the series almost always picking up where the last one ended, so we get to revisit past characters and see the wonderful updates to their lives. The subplot of this book was so emotional & heartbreaking, I couldn't turn it away. A terrific read that holds your interest all throughout the book, Ms. Robson has written another gem. I can't wait to meet more of the O'Brien siblings and watch them fall like dominoes!

I really enjoyed this book. Melissa is hearing impaired and had a traumatic event happen in her childhood. As an adult, she fights for victims rights. Declan is the acting DA and has to work on some cases with Melissa. There are some really good steamy scenes and this couple has fantastic chemistry. A little more angsty than I was prepared for but overall a really good book!

Cecy Robson is a must read for any romance fan. Her stories are deep and emotional. They are not a light read, but deal with real issues that are mostly dark and gut wrenching. The characters are all great and help bring the story to life. As for the hero and heroine? You would definitely find it difficult to find such intense chemistry and a heat that constantly simmers all throughout the book. The O'Briens have become like a much loved family acquaintance or neighbor to me. Yes, they are loud and most of the time quite rude. But they are loving, caring and intense and would do anything to protect the ones that they love. We have seen Killian, Curran, Wren and Finn all find the loves of their lives. Now it is finally the enigmatic and magnetic Declan O'Brien's turn. The Assistant District Attorney whose goal as always has been to make his way to the top of Philadelphia's political scene finds himself at a crossroads.

Declan O'Brien is the sheepdog of the O'Brien family. At least that is how his family sees him. He is always looking out for his siblings and mother and he believes that the only way he can truly successfully do that is if he works himself rugged and ends up at the top. When his mentor and boss, Miles Fenske has to take a leave of absence in order to undergo treatment for cancer, he finds himself heading the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit. He is also been assigned as the acting district attorney until Miles comes back. He is furious to be assigned to this unit. He would much rather be heading the homicide unit or something else that he believes will get him more time tin the spotlight. He has seen the emotionally wrenching cases that the SACAU have to deal with and he wants to stay as far away from it as possible. He also wants to keep his distance from Melissa Fenske, Miles' daughter and the director of victim services. After an unfortunate event when they first met, they have been avoiding each other like the plague. And even though Declan is determined to not let his attraction to Mel get in the way of their professional relationship, he is finding it increasingly difficult to do so.

Melissa Fenske has had a very tough life. Hearing impaired, she was adopted by the A.D.A. who was looking after her case after her birth mother tried to sell her in exchange for drugs. Her father is the only family that she has ever known or had. So it is devastating her to see her father getting sicker by the day. Due to her childhood trauma she has a special gift for helping the victims of the crimes that they have to face daily. She hates the fact that the sexy and cocky Declan O'Brien has to take over her father's position. Yes, like every other woman in the office, she also is aware of his allure, but she is determined not to let him know it or be swept up by his charm. But as they find themselves been drawn closer and closer with every new case that they have to handle, it is getting increasingly difficult to ignore or deny their mutual attraction.

Another great addition to this amazing series. If you are looking for a romance that not only makes you hot, but also leaves you shattered and emotional with hope and even laughter, this is exactly what you are looking for. Can't get enough of the O'Briens!

Having read and enjoyed books 1 and 2 of this series, I was thrilled to receive an ARC for Book 4, Feel Me, in exchange for a fair, unbiased review. No, you didn’t miscount, nor did I, book 3 simply slipped past me. But not to worry, I hope to backtrack and read it sooner rather than later. Why? Mainly because of the British hunk of a handsome hero. Yeah, it’s a given he’ll be sporting a sexy, English accent, folks, and I just can’t say no to that.

Melissa and Declan, the main couple here, definitely got off to a bad start in a previous book. Things didn’t seem destined to go well for them at all. Mainly because Melissa’s made up mind to dislike this golden, smooth talking, headed for political greatness hero rubbed her in all the wrong ways. Declan, however, seemed more than just a little interested in getting an opportunity to touch her in all the right ways.

Fortunately for them, fate stepped in and gave them a helping hand. Forced to work together, they slowly but surely got to know each other. Though Declan was slow to declare or acknowledge he wanted more than just some smexy time with her, they both took turns in this back and forth, low angst, romantic tale questioning where their relationship was truly headed.

With engaging writing that flowed, I did enjoy this adversaries to lovers, very steamy romantic tale. Here’s to hoping you’ll feel the same.

Title: Feel Me, Series: O’Brien Family (Book 4), Author: Cecy Robson, Pages: stand-alone but part of a series, hearing impaired heroine, ambitious hero, forced to work together, very steamy scenes, misinterprets a situation, gets cold feet and does something stupid, work for victims of crime/sexual assault.

Having never read any of the other books in this series or even this author before, I had no idea what to expect and was just hoping it would be okay read as a standalone. I tend to heavily prefer suspense, which this wasn't, but the description caught my attention so I had to give it a try.

Melissa and Declan have know each other for a while, but their interactions to this point have been less than stellar. He seems to put his foot in his mouth every time he talks to her. Now Melissa's father has paired the two of them up at work and neither of them are happy. I definitely felt like there was probably some match making going on here, because Melissa's father seemed to see the obvious chemistry between them and held a very high opinion of Declan.

For a while these two engage in light but sometimes flirty banter. Eventually, passion overtakes them, but where is their relationship going? Melissa has a huge family problem which is draining her emotionally, and Declan's aspirations are to make it to the top, make it big. Nowhere in his plan is having a family or the fairytale concept of love. He is just not that guy even though he knows that's just the guy Melissa needs. Should they even continue? Can he love her? Can she trust him? Their journey is a long and rocky one.

One of my favorite parts of this book was Declan's loud, rowdy, and completely irreverent family. All the relationships seemed so solid though not without their difficulties. I was caught up in them enough that I added books 1-3 into my Amazon wish list as soon as I finished reading this one. I enjoyed this way more than I expected.

I received an ARC from Net Galley for honest review.

I am an office romance fan. I also enjoy a little politics along with my romance. So as a result, Feel Me by author Cecy Robson seemed like a safe bet. With the exception of a few grammatical errors and missing words, this book took over my soul. I laughed, sobbed, and truly immersed myself in the characters of the story. This is the fourth book from the O’Brien Family series and it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Melissa Fenske is the Philadelphia area's Director of Victim Services. She is an amazing advocate, but she has to work twice as hard as anyone else because she is hearing impaired and her father is the well-known and well-respected District Attorney. Before her father adopted her at the age of six, Melissa's biological mother almost sold her to a drug dealer in order to get her fix. Needless to say, Melissa is the perfect individual to lead the Victim Services team. Now that her beloved father is dying of cancer, ADA Declan O'Brien has been selected as his replacement.

Declan O’Brien is going places. His charm, good looks and intelligence, in addition to his arrogance, easily allow him to continue fighting for the rights of others. He is in the process of climbing the political ladder, and plans on running for mayor in the near future. He and Melissa work very closely together, and their professional relationship evolves into much more. However, Declan does not believe in love, so he has trouble understanding his feelings for Melissa.

This is an compelling story and the plot developments are emotional at times. I liked all the characters and I loved getting to know the distinct personalities of the seven O'Brien siblings. My heart ached for Melissa as a young child, and for the cruelness she endured by her classmates because of her hearing impairment. Declan's ability to fall in love was exciting, and I cheered for him to rise to the occasion. Melissa and Declan's sexy times are hot, and Ms. Robson does a great job of combining emotion and passion. Overall, this is a solid love story and I plan on reading the entire O'Brien Family series.

This is the story of . . .
Assistant District Attorney, soon-to-be acting D.A., Declan is an ambitious and career driven man. He cares about two things, his family and his job. After watching his father throw away the love his mother and his siblings, Declan has a skewed view of love. Mainly that he doesn’t believe in it. He’s your typical commitment-phobe and cynic. His whole life has been about getting ahead, getting promoted and reaching his end goal of one day running for office.
When his boss leaves him in charge of the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit, Declan isn’t happy. Not when everyone knows he was gunning for head of Homicide instead. But he respects his mentor’s choice and agrees to hold his own temporarily.
The promotion brings him into direct contact with Melissa, his mentor’s daughter and a woman he can’t stop thinking about. Melissa is hearing impaired and a disastrous first meeting pretty much draws the line of animosity between them. Melissa is the opposite of Declan, having been neglected and abandoned by her biological mother because of her special needs and later adopted by her father, Melissa sees proof every day that love exists.
This is a story of a romantic and a cynic giving in to their sizzling attraction and finding out love is powerful mojo but not without it’s own hardships and challenges.

What I liked about it:
That our h wasn’t a push over. Melissa was a strong character, yes she has her insecurities but she also has an all-consuming passion to help others, her 100% devotion to her father, and her selflessness to be needed all made her a heroine you want to root for.
Declan on the other hand took some getting used to. He doesn’t beat around the bush when it comes to realizing what he feels for Melissa is special because right from the start he admits she makes him feel things no one ever has. What takes him a while to get around to is his desire to take that next step into a committed relationship. His hot/cold behavior and that whole Thanksgiving scene was painful to read. The only saving grace to that scene was the backbone Melissa displays. She calls him out on it and gives him the chance to finally dig his head out of the sand about where they stand.
There were great supporting characters here but the most prominent were Declan’s family, the O’Briens. They were loud, crude and foul mouthed but I loved their genuine love for family. Wren, Fin, and Curran were definitely interesting characters.

What I loved about it:
The freaking epilogue was so sweet! Seriously a good story can be made great with the right epilogue and this was a nice touch by the author to reassure us that Declan and Melissa are still in love and still going strong. I loved that ending.

Memorable Moments:
Besides the adorable epilogue, I have to be honest and say that Melissa and Declan together were explosive. Seriously that limo ride was just one of many titillating scenes. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself re-reading a few passages. 

Feel Me had me feeling great! Declan O'Brien has met his match in Melissa and she is not going to just fall at his feet and swoon for him. If anything she will turn and go the other way only after she takes a bite out of his hide. They have a had a stressful working relationship and even though Declan really does step in it and need to grovel his way out, he is up to the task. This story is full of the crazy O'Brien clan and all the love and angst and joy and, of course, just enough heat to keep it going.

I recommend this one!

This is the forth book in this series by this author. This book will have you hooked from the first age till the very last one. The chemistry builds through out the story between the characters. This book has the most perfect epilogue I've read in along time. This is an office romance contemporary story. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.
Highly recommended
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

While this book got off to a bit of a slow start for me, I ended up really connecting well with the characters and getting connected to their individual stories. There was romance, of course, but there was also a lot of deep topics brought up - rape, child abuse, cancer - and those brought the story to life for me. It wasn't just about one man and one woman falling in love. It was also about their growth in character and their personal struggles with those issues.

Declan O'Brien is close to becoming the youngest District Attorney in Pennsylvania's history, and the next step in accomplishing that is to work alongside the one person who has never fallen for his charm - Melissa Fenske, the current DA's daughter. Melissa was born with hearing loss, and after a narrow escape from a rapist at the age of six, she was adopted by the DA in charge of her case. When he develops colon cancer, he asks Declan to be acting DA while he undergoes treatment, and in addition Declan is asked to work with Melissa as head of the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit. The two immediately clash, but as they get to know each other, a different kind of spark begins to fly. But is Declan ready to commit and can Melissa learn to trust him despite his reputation?

I wasn't sure if I would be able to connect with Melissa and Declan initially. For the first few chapters, I struggled to understand them beyond the fact that Melissa was disabled and Declan was a player. However, as they interacted more and their true characters emerged, I was intrigued and excited to read what came next. I loved how their relationship developed, although it was difficult when things got hairy and Declan struggled with his ability to love another person. That became frustrating, especially when Melissa didn't trust him enough to give him room to realize his feelings for her. It all worked out, of course, but if you're expecting a romance novel with an easy happily-ever-after, this isn't it. It's raw and gritty, and it feels very much like real life.

This is the second book I have read by Cecy Robson, and I look forward to reading more! She creates amazing characters and brings out the best emotions in a reader.

4 Shepherd Dog Stars.

Office romances don't always work for me. Feel Me did. I am a happy bunny.

Declan O'Brien appointed A.D.A is smooth, women love him and he loves women. But there is one woman who doesn't fall for his charms. The less she falls the more he wants her.

I didn’t always like our male lead in this book but he grew on me and in the end I was rooting for me. He did try to make up in the grovel department but not enough for me to be honest.

Melissa Fenske doesn't like Declan she thinks that he is unsuitable for the job and maybe in the beginning he is.

Melissa is a fantastic female lead I love books where either one of the main characters has a disability. Melissa is hearing impaired add a tough start to life and as a character I admire her.

Declan wants it all. D.A for Homicide not SACU. Mayor and even Senator. There is a spanner in his works. He wants Melissa but he is a slight commitment-phobe. And eventually he screws it up.

Feel Me left me raw, emotionally drained and a mess yet despite all that, the sap in me always loves to see that love really can conquer all.

Our MC as a couple complement one another. Ms. Robson has a unique writing style that pulls you into the loud, boisterous in your business Catholic family. I personally love every single moment of their antics. In saying that though Wren is MY favorite O'Brien. Major girl crush going on here.

Although we get an Epilogue the ending and our couple making up felt somewhat abrupt.

On a side matter note the author did a fantastic job of being tasteful and respectful and what the survivors of such hideous crimes go through.

When I read Wren’s book 3 I said I’d backtrack and read 1 & 2 but I never did. I have now bought book 1 to read.
