Hot-headed, arrogant hockey goalie who is probably the best in the NHL and lives for hot women and brawls finally meets his match when on the practice ice someone gets puck after puck past him by tricking him and when he drops his gloves and is ready to pummel he met by the most beautify woman he has ever seen. She just happens to be the woman who spent hours pulling glass out of his head when he is side swiped by a beer bottle at a party when he picked the wrong woman but then again...Meet Callie who just happens to be sister to Justin one of his teammates and who also hates him. When all he wants to do is get her alone to apologize he is met with roadblock again and again. He has found the one woman who wants to make him reform his ways and life and his agent seem to have other ideas. Will they be able to find their way?

I am a HUGE fan of this author and am ashamed that I didn't provide feedback when I was given the opportunity to read this book via NetGalley.

This is book 2 in a hockey series and can absolutely be read as a stand-alone. As with all of this author's other works, the story is quick and fulfilling. There is romance and humor and friendship and, of course, hockey.

I recommend this book, this series, and this author.

A sinfully enjoyable read. The characters are well written and the storyline was developed. And don't be surprised if you're left fanning yourself while reading it...

4.5 stars!

I received an ARC of the first book in this series for the Release Day Blitz and I was really looking forward to reading more books in this series! I received an ARC of this book before the first book though, so I had it sitting on my Kindle for a few weeks before I was able to read it because I wanted to read the first book first lol! I also didn't read the synopsis before starting this book, so I did go into it blind! I don't normally do this, but I did end up reading the synopsis when I was 25% into it to find out more information lol! After reading, I can say that I enjoyed this book, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the first book! I think it's because the first book had a bit of action and suspense in it, but this book didn't have any! I love action and suspense in the plot of any book, and this author's books normally have loads in them, so this book was missing that for me! There was plenty of romance in the plot though, and some seriously hot scenes that were really, really hot! I also loved the relationship development between the two main characters! The characters were also amazing and made this book better! Dallas was the main male character! Dallas was a secondary character in the first book in this series, so I was excited to read his story and find out more about him! I have to start by saying that Dallas was a bit of a womaniser in this book! He though he could get any woman he wanted and nobody was going to say no to him! He was soon brought down to size by this love interest though lol! Dallas changed a lot after he started developing feelings for his love interest! He stopped looking at other women and his love interest held all his attention! He was protective of her too and it was easy to see his feelings for her develop! Callie was the main female character and love interest of Dallas! Callie was very independent in this book and she tried to do everything by herself and not rely on anyone for anything! I did respect this about her, but it's okay to lean on someone for help every once in a while! I also loved the way that Callie didn't take any crap and she didn't fall in love with Dallas as soon as she met him! She made him wait and they let their relationship develop at a really good pace! I was really happy that this book was written from both Dallas and Callie's point of views! The synopsis made it sound like it was only going to be written from Dallas' point of view, but I'm really happy that Callie's was in there too! It helped me connect more with both characters and it allowed for more things to happen in the plot! I also can't wait to read the next book in this series! I'm not sure whose book it's going to be, but I do have some ideas because of what happened in this book! I still can't wait to read the next book and I'll definitely be reading it when it releases! I hope it release soon and I don't have to wait ages for it too! The cover for this book is also seriously hot! It suits the book perfectly and I love how well it suits the cover for the first book too! The ice skates mean a lot in the book too! Big thank you to L.P. Dover, Loveswept, Netgalley and Give Me Books for an ARC of Blocked!

This is a very sweet book in the breakaway series. Dallas was a hard-edged man until a pretty woman knocked him off his feet. I loved Callie and how she was able to make Dallas into a better man.

I have said it in many of my reviews that I really L.P. Dover was one of my One-Click authors. I love the stories that she weaves. They are kind of magical. They can transport you to a world filled with wonderful people. This book was no exception.

In this story you get to know Dallas more. A cocky ladies man who was used to getting anyone he wanted. Everyone except Callie. She was used to grade A jerks (seeing that her brother is one) and refuses to be "that girl." You know the one that thinks the can change the player. So she avoids them. They both have to figure out if the chemistry between them is worth changing their ways and open themselves to the possibilities of a relationship. I definitely enjoyed this book Thank you for another awesome book L.P. Dover.

A story about forgiveness, love, and family bonding. Blocked is a teammate and enemy's sister romance.
Dallas is aggressive and mean and loyal to those close to him. Callie is tough nurse and plays hockey with her brothers. Thhis is a very sweet story that starts with instant love and HEA. There is lots of drama and secrets. Also overprotective brothers, and a sister with a secret, and you have the makings for a great sports romance. Diffently one clicked to add to my library.

*this book was given to me in exchange for an honest review*

3 stars...
The second book in the Breakaway series, introduces us to Dallas and Callie.
Dallas Easton is the goaltender for the Strikers, known ladies man, and hot tempered on top of it all. His world revolves around his ego, and he has little tolerance for anyone who’s not inside his wheelhouse. He’s fighting with teammates, specifically the newer guy, Justin. His work as he knows it comes crashing down when Justin’s little sister turns his life upside down.
Callie Davis grew up in a household of older brothers. She’s learned to play hockey, take care of herself, and works as a surgical/ER nurse. She encounters Dallas, when he gets knocked in the head, and continues to leave her mark where Dallas is concerned. Their personalities compliment each other, and they seem to find a common ground despite her brothers meddling in their relationship.
Great story, and ending. Myself being from Minnesota (as is Callie), I thought the author did a great job incorporating key pieces. As much as I enjoyed the story, there were portions that were a bit “cheesy” to me. It’s a good, fast read, but didn’t blow me away. Definitely intrigued enough to want to continue on in the series.

Blocked by L.P. Dover is a funny and enjoyable hockey romance. While it is the second book in the Breakaway series, I did not read the first book so this one can be read as a complete standalone. I loved Callie who is a completely badass female hockey player. She's strong and independent and isn't afraid to stand up for what she wants. Dallas is the typical alpha-male, cocky, manwhore hockey player but underneath there was so much more. He will certainly make you swoon! The back and forth between Callie and Dallas had me laughing out loud. These two have serious chemistry! Great sports romance!

Blocked by L.P. Dover is the second standalone romance in her Breakaway hockey series. While each book stands alone with different characters and their own HEA, the timeline is sequential and would be better enjoyed reading order, but it isn't necessary.

Blocked is a teammate/enemy's sister romance where the bad boy Dallas has to not only win over the girl he already stepped wrong with but ALSO try and win over her brother and his teammate that hates him.

Dallas is aggressive and mean and while he is fiercely loyal to those he lets close, there aren't many that he does let in.

Callie is tough, an ER and Surgical nurse and has been playing hockey with her brothers for as long as she can remember. When she pulls some dirty hockey moves on Dallas while he is in goal in a shoot-out game against her brothers he mistakes her for a man and nearly hits her. Shocked, guilty and extremely remorseful he starts the path to redemption and not only wins Callie's forgiveness but also her heart.

Callie is making Dallas, who she is REALLY attracted to, work for every moment with her. Except she realizes that while he has his anger issues he is completely different from who she assumed he was. His character is solid and he means well - except on the ice.

A tumultuous journey of forgiveness, love in unexpected places, family bonds and more. Well-written and well-paced I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series, Playmaker. Enjoy!

Such a great book I loved Dallas. Kept me reading well into the night. Callie is the one woman he shouldn’t want but can’t stay away. 5 stars of hockey hotness.

Fun and flirting!Cute story I like it a lot.Dallas and Callie were fantastic, they had great chemistry and banter!

This is amusing, steamy, romantic and suspenseful. Dallas is determined, sweet, tough and entertaining. Callie is snarky, tough, dedicated and quick to judge. He becomes captivated with her from the moment he tackles her. She thinks that he is a pig, like all hockey players, he thinks that she is an angel. Her brothers are not in favor of the relationship, neither is his agent. Through plot twists and the hostility between teammates, it's an constant battle of wills.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.

I really enjoyed the beginning of this book, and I thought the introduction of the two characters was cute and unique. However, ultimately once their story progressed, I couldn't seem to get into it, and unfortunately, this ended up being a DNF for me.

I enjoyed the first book in this series even without much hockey action going on. This one was a lot more on the ice which was fun to read. Dallas is the goaltender for an NHL team. He's good and he knows it. He is also uses that to his advantage with the fans and with the ladies.

I give the author props for the meet cute. Unique and sets the tone for the relationship to come. Callie is a strong character and puts up a good fight for her self worth when it comes to Dallas. There are some fun moments, some sexy times and then some angst business where you just want to knock someone up side the head.

In the end, I wasn't feeling the WHY for this couple to be together. It was great to see previous couples form this series and Ms Dover's other works.

Looking forward to the mystery that is Dallas's sister. Should be a good one!

Blocked is a sweet, sexy hockey romance. Dallas is the hot goaltender for the Charlotte Strikers. He's got a rep as being a womanizing playboy, and nothing Callie has seen has made her think differently of him. One night while at a party her cousin Maddox is throwing at her and her brothers' home, Dallas is in need of some of Callie's superb nursing skills, thanks to an unhappy boyfriend and his cheating girlfriend. All Dallas sees of his nurse is beautiful green eyes and blonde hair, not knowing she's the sister of his teammate, Justin, who hates him (for unknown reasons).

But when Dallas sees Callie again, right after she's just hit him on the ice, all he can think of is how beautiful she is. As he tries to convince her that he's not the bad boy his reputation has her believing, Callie's not sure, but her body knows she wants him. I loved how sweet Dallas was with her, how genuine he was. He didn't try to sleazily seduce her or convince her he had good intentions when he had bad ones, no, he just showed her his true self and Callie knew she wouldn't be able to resist him any longer, regardless of her brothers' opinions of him. Dallas and Callie make an entertaining, sexy couple and I love how easily they came together once she knew she could trust him.

If you like your hockey romances heavy on the hockey, with hot alpha goaltenders and sweet, sassy nurses, put Blocked on your TBR list today. Blocked is a standalone, but I urge you to read Hard Stick, too, it features characters mentioned often in Blocked, and it's just as sweet and sexy as Blocked is.
