Unfortunately this book was just as bad as the first book in the series for me. Even though I DNF the first book, I decided to give this one a shot as the blurb sounded really interesting. I DNF finish this book either....

While Cate's story is absolutely heart breaking, this was the only part of the book that I felt was realistic. I couldn't get behind the immediate "love" that Jake and Cate had. They met once when he treated her as a paramedic but really nothing special happened there. Then they meet 6 months later and within 24 hours are professing their love for each other? They know NOTHING about one another.

I could kind of understand why Cate would think she fell in love, afterall Jake is essentially the first person who pays her any real attention. But even with that...24 hours and you're head over heals in love to the point where you're getting married? And that everyone is so happy for them yet no one bothers to question the impulsivity of what they're doing? It's just not realistic.

Of course she ends up pregnant (surprise) and the doctor immediately tells her she is going to need a c section because she's tiny? First off, if the doctor tells you this in your first appointment - get another doctor! Just because she is 5'1 doesn't mean she can't delivery a baby naturally. This part made no sense.
