I know I should feel terrible, & to some extend I do.. this was someone's baby in a sense & I'm basically going to come along & call it ugly!.. I'd never read anything by this author beforehand - that I'm aware of (I read a lot!!) anyway, I saw the cover & decided to check out the blurb. I was super excited & 1 clicked straight away. As soon as I downloaded it I started reading &.. I kinda wish I hadn't. Even if it wasn't for the seriously, epically bad grammar & punctuation, I still would've been sad. It was too fast paced for me. From the first page it jumps straight in. There was no teasing, nothing. I am really disappointed & I'm incredibly sorry to write this. 2/5*

Nice cover and interesting blurb. I got the opportunity to read an ARC.

It rates for me somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. I liked the characters and the storyline but it was a bit short and a bit unbelievable. Not the fact that a young professor would have a relationship with a student, their age gap is not that big anyway, but the events as they unfold. I thought the writing was a bit too YA and needs more flow. But that is something an author can develop.
And it might have to do with the shortness of the story. With a higher word count you can use more prose and have a better character development.

But overall a nice, steamy book!

I received an ARC via Netgalley and this is my honest review.

Mistake No.7.
Is a romance novel from Laura P Avery, for me a new author.
I must say, that I was happy with the surprise.
It is a nice,fun,sexy novel,about a young girl (21),who is unhappy in
the love department. She name`s her ex boyfriends mistakes.
And now a possible coming mistake nr 7 is there.
Prof Rick (31/32),is her teacher and later on her boss from her cleaning job.
it is all so wrong, and it feels so wright.
both have bouderies to overcome,in order to be happy.

Love student/professor romances. Rick started out really strong, definite Alpha material, but seemed to soften as the story went along. Becca did the opposite. Rick's softening was my only complaint about the characters. Overall I liked both of them, I wish he was a little "beefier". Good story overall, nothing necessarily new to the genre, but a solid, fast, enjoyable read.

Shy, pretty girl next door Rebecca has a crush on a guy she shouldn't be falling for, Rick Carter her university Professor.

When her friend Tess sees an advert for a maid to work cleaning for someone little do they both know the client is Rick. Especially when Tess is trying to get Rebecca together with Ben, a guy her own age.

Yet, Rick is moving into his dead parents old house after its been trashed by renters and his sister Hannah nags him to get set up with a home for himself to settle down in.

As Becca gets closer to Rick, quite literally, the pair prove a strong connection exists between them as they learn they both want each other as much as the other in their lives, if they can sway Tess and Hannah they are a true match that is!

A really fun and flirty story perfect for any girls wanting a Mr Nice guy character to fantasize about themselves too!

Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book!

I didn't even make it past 10%. Juvenile writing, poor grammar and sentence structure, and lots of telling instead of showing. The blurb sounded so promising, but the reality was disappointing.
