This is a classic Marina Adair romance – small town setting with a close-knit community, complete with a gaggle of high-spirited old ladies, unbreakable friendships, a strong female lead who might have taken a few knocks in life but is willing to fight on regardless and a protective hero, preferably with a rescue background. This book has all of that and more in another easy, enjoyable romance from an author who rarely lets me down.

And she doesn’t this time. Largely thanks to Liv, a young widow with a vulnerable son. It’s been two years since the accident that killed her husband and left her son with selective mutism, but she’s made a whole new life for herself and Paxton, doing everything she can to ensure her son grows up loved and surrounded by those who knew his father. Sure, things are still tough, not least because Paxton’s grandmother doesn’t seem to want to understand what her son is going through and Liv is constantly worried about how lonely he seems, but they are making progress.

I really liked Liv. She’s hard working and caring and determined and so strong. I wanted all the best things for her.

Most of the time Ford fit the bill. He’s gorgeous and understanding, good with Paxton, makes her feel desirable and genuinely seems to care about Liv. He also has the most adorable rescue dog, Bullseye, who I wish we’d seen a lot more of. That dog stole every scene he was in and I would have loved to have seen more of him and Ford actually at work. Bullseye aside, Ford and Liv make a great team and it was easy to see why they were drawn to each other.

However, Ford keeps his secret for far too long. There is no excuse for it and makes him seem incredibly weak. Even his daddy issues didn’t really explain why he holds back, especially when he has plenty of good opportunities to come clean and explain. And this is a massive shame, because secret aside, I really liked Ford. Yet the longer the secret went on, the more annoyed with him I got and the less I enjoyed the romance. This wasn’t made any better when everything does come out right at the end and gets cleared up far too quickly.

So it’s not perfect, but if you’re feeling in a forgiving frame of mind, it’s still well worth a read. The characters (secrets aside) are likeable, the setting is charming and the romance is enjoyable with a nice touch of heat. In all I liked it, if not as much as others by this author, and I’ll definitely be looking out for the next one.

Liv Preston has been a single mom since the day her son was rescued after a bad accident in an extreme winter storm. She's worked hard to build a life for her small family and help her son Paxton break out of the walls that went up on that fateful night when his dad didn't make it out of the storm.

When Ford Jameson shows up in town as a short term transfer to re-up a critical certification for his search and rescue job, he vows to avoid Liv, and the little boy he rescued at all costs. But fate, circumstances and his overly friendly dog keeps throwing them in to situations together, and they find themselves working together on the upcoming Wagon Days fair in town. As their lives become more deeply intertwined, Ford continues to struggle with the choices he made on that rescue all those years ago. And Liv is coming to terms with accepting that the life she planned is never going to happen, and it's okay for her to move on and feel again.

The thing neither of them ever anticipated was the connection they would feel, how drawn to each other they would be. Can they get past their personal demons to build something real and lasting? Or will the night that already changed Liv and Preston's lives continue to impact them?

The storyline in Every Little Kiss is a very poignant and romantic story about second chances and redemption. There is love out there, all you have to do is look.

Olivia, Liv to her friends, is a hard-working, single mom. She's also a widow of two years. Used to doing everything for her small family, Liv has trouble accepting help, making commitments, and socializing. When a position as a RN with the new, mobile medical unit becomes available, Liv decides to step outside her comfort zone to do whatever it takes to earn the job. The job would allow her more time with her six year old son and a raise in pay.

Ford, head of the Search and Rescue K9 Unit, is in the doghouse. He has been temporarily transferred to Sequoia Lake and placed on "desk duty" as punishment for missing his exam. Ford was at the top of his game, never doubting his decisions until that fateful night when he had to make a life-altering decision. Ford feels obligated to make sure Liv and her son are doing okay. So he inserts himself into their lives. The more time he spends with Liv and Paxton, the more difficult it becomes to walk away.....

This was one of the most heartfelt, inspiring, courageous, funny love stories I've read in awhile. I LOVED the elderly ladies!!! They were competitive, racy, and funny. I loved their nicknames for Ford too--Dr. Doolittle and Mr. McBuns. Ford's ability to connect with Paxton and help him come out of his shell brought tears to my eyes! Every little boy needs a superhero! Let's not forget the dogs or Bullseye! The matching hot pink outfits...too funny! This is the second novel in the series, but can be read as a stand alone novel. I read a gifted copy of this novel and all opinions stated are my own.

'When he wasn’t around her, all he could think about was seeing her. And when he was with her, he couldn’t stomach the idea of leaving.'

Another sweet, small-town romance from Marina Adair, another enjoyable book in the Sequoia Lake series. I recall liking the first in this series, though, admittedly, I struggled to remember exactly what happened and who all the characters were. Despite that, it didn’t take long for me to get into the book, and I soon found myself very much enjoying Ford and Liv, and their friends.

Every Little Kiss is a cute book. It deals with grief and loss and moving on in a well-written, respectful but thankfully not maudlin way, and produces some funny, flirty banter. Ford, in particular, nailed the flirty. Plus, development of the relationship between Liv and Ford grew was nice—not exactly friends-to-lovers, but the way they slowly progressed really worked for me.

What else worked for me? Paxton was lovable, and oh, how I wanted more for and from him. Bullseye caught my eye with his stuffed animal obsession. And then there’s Harris. Single dad, mountain man, not afraid to rock glitter and pink and beads for his daughter. I certainly hope Ms. Adair plans to make his book the next in this series.

So, why not five? Simple, really. Ford’s secret, his connection to Sequoia Lake, dragged out a little too long for my liking. I found myself increasingly frustrated with him, his reasoning, with his lack of communication. I had hoped that, as we neared the end, Ms. Adair had a trick up her sleeve, and though that wasn’t the case, I still loved the conclusion.

In fact, it was a heart-happy, sweet and swoony moment, and a great finish to yet another enjoyable book from this author.

“I came here searching for answers and found meaning.”

Marina Adair is one of my favorite authors. Her books have humor and also many touching moments. This was a great addition to the series, but this book can be read as a stand alone.

Liv Preston has been trying to slowly create a stable life for herself and her son on Sequoia Lake, where her husband grew up.
Ford Jamison is on probation in Sequoia Lake till he clears his certification for the K9 search division in Reno.
The attraction between them is instant. But as Liv learns to love again, Fords secret can tear them apart.
Every little kiss was a sweet, emotional read. My heart went to young Paxton. It was a heartwarming read about redemption and second chances. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to next in the series. Hope it's Harris's book next.

Beautifully written contemporary small town romance with lots of emotional twists. Perfect for a afternoon relaxing in the sun, sounds of nature sounding you with a cold drink near you reading.

Liv Preston is a fearlessly determined single mother looking to get her six year old son to open up and smile once again hoping to heal after the tragic loss of her husband. Ford Jamison is the sexy, strong, and intriguing K-9 search and rescue leader next door neighbor who is looking to help her little family have some much needed fun in the sun and struggling to deny any sparks that may be flying bright and hot between him and Liv. Very entertaining reading.

**3.5-4 stars**
In Every Little Kiss, the second book in Marina Adair’s Sequoia Lake Series, Liv Preston is trying to make a better life for her and her six-year old son after losing her husband two years prior. Moving to her late husband’s home town and working as a nurse at the local hospital, she’s working on finding some real happiness, learning to move on and trying to help her son heal from the traumatic experience he went through losing his father.

When she meets hot, sexy Ford Jamison, the head of Reno’s K-9 Search and Rescue, life takes a turn into new territory for her; learning to open up her heart to the possibility of a new love in her life. This isn’t easy for her, but she’s working on getting there. Ford is back in Sequoia Lake after failing to take a major test for his job and is put on desk-duty for a while. He’s not in town for long, but he’s having a hard time fighting his attraction to Liv. And the more time they spend together, the harder it is for both of them to fight the chemistry between them. Ford doesn’t want to hurt her, but he’s hiding a very big secret from Liv and if he doesn’t come clean, it could threaten to break them apart before they even get a real chance to be together.

I appreciated that things weren’t rushed between Liv and Ford. Liv still had some wounds to heal and Ford had his own personal issues to deal with. I also loved how Ford treated Liv’s son, Paxton.

You can always count on Marina Adair to bring the sweet, heartwarming moments and of course the hot, sexy scenes too!

I believe this may be the first book I have read by Marina Adair but it definitely won't be my last. This book looks to be the second in a series filled with a nurse, Olivia who cares too much, a K-9 instructor, Ford, secondary characters like Harris, Ford’s boss, and a young boy, Paxton and a dog, Bullseye. How can you go wrong with this cast of characters and more. Marina Adair did a great job bringing these people and this town to life for me. It was realistic, a fun read, and I plan to go back and read the first book in this series also. I am a sucker for a good, small town romance and this book had all the “feels”. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this book for an honest review.

Book two in Marina Adair’s Sequoia series, Ford Jamison makes “Every Little Kiss” count to woo and protect Liv Preston and her adorable little boy.

After her husband’s death Liv Preston moves to Sequoia Lake with her six year old for a fresh start and her main goal is to make sure her special needs son can transition into his new life and get back the smiles he seems to have lost. Working hard and trying to fight life’s everyday battles, Liv never saw the spark of second chance living right next door.

Head of the K-9 Division in Reno, Ford Jamison comes to Sequoia Lake to make sure the past that he cannot seem to forget is managing life alright. As a search and rescue member, he understands loss, gut instincts and rescues, but he never would have thought his heart would get in the way of his life, and the past would speed bump his future, with secrets that may take Liv and her little boy away from him.

Another heartwarming story from Marina Adair, “Every Little Kiss” is a beautiful story of second chances, redemption and the warmth of friendship and care, as serene and gorgeous as Sequoia Lake and it’s residents.
“Every Little Kiss” is sweet, filled with promise and a lifetime of love.

5 FORD MAGICAL STARS!!! What a perfect magical story that has all the feels to pull on your heartstrings. Liv is trying to get on with her life after becoming a single mom, but it has been tough on her. Ford steps into her life, he is a K-9 Search and Rescue with lots of secrets of his own. These two need each other to complete their lives, but will it be enough. Marina Adair is a magical storyteller and has written one of the best books I have read. I love this book and highly recommend it you. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book from publisher via NetGalley.

This is the second book in the Sequoia Lake series, and can easily be read as a stand alone book, however, Liv and Paxton were introduced in the previous book and I had been very intrigued by their story and was glad they were front and center for this book. I really enjoyed how Paxton's story played out and how Ford's relationship with him played into it as well as the character growth for Liz along with her son getting past the death of her husband and his father. Notice how I am a paragraph into this review and I haven't even mentioned the romance between Liv and Ford? That isn't because it wasn't important or well done, it is just because Adair write such interesting characters that there is so much more going on than just an unlikely romance, which is why I love this author.

Anyone looking for a great story with a lot of romance and heart should read this book.

I have really enjoyed some of Marina's other books, so I requested this off her her name alone.

I really liked Liv and Ford. She's sweet and he's stoic and together they just work. They're both stronger than they realize and it was interesting to see how they were able to work through the things they're each struggling with. Bullseye is hands down the best part of this story and stole every scene.

Plot wise, it was what I expected, to a point. I don't feel like it's a spoiler to say there's a HEA. Surprisingly the conflict didn't show up until the book was almost over and it's resolved so so so quickly. Not to mention, Liv's son Paxton is 100% on board with everything when it seemed like he had only been around Ford a small handful of times. {Obviously I'm reading way too much into it, but for some reason, I couldn't get that part out of my head.}

Overall, it's a sweet story with some adorable moments, a fantastic grand gesture, and what could be the best dog ever written. I can't wait to see who's next. Fingers crossed for Harris and Grace.

After becoming a widow Liv put all her effort into raising her son, and keeping her life together. Ford is her sexy new neighbor and he holds a deep secret. Ford helps her get back into society and works with her son to help him get past the tragedy that he still lives with the after affects of. He worms his way in and she lets her hair down but when his secret comes between them there may be no future for them.
Another light and sweet book from Marina I could not put it down.

This is the 2nd book of the series and although I never read the first one, this is a stand alone story.
I enjoyed Ford and Liv's story. Liv is a nurse and mother of a young son who moved back to town after the death of her husband, and Ford is part of a search and rescue team with his K9 dog Bullseye.

It is a heartwarming story that will tug at you. I loved reading this book and will definitely go buy the first one.

The beauty of a Marina Adair novel is that, no matter how big or small, love is the force that drives them. The best way to read Ms. Adair is to listen with your heart. There is always a meaningful message behind the madness. Every Little Kiss, ponders a subject we all take for granted in a way that is humbling, humorous and hopeful. The small town presentation makes the journey more intimate but no less insightful. Life is a precious gift. Whether short or long, joyous or heartbreaking, the experiences are the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Trial or triumph, we don't want to miss a thing.

Liv Preston has slowly been rebuilding her and her young sons life since the tragic loss of her husband. Living in Sequoia Lake, where her husband grew up is just one way to give her son a part of his father, and she is finding her place in the community as well...

Ford Jamison, head of Reno’s K-9 search division, is dealing with the lasting effects of the tragedies he sees with his search and rescue position. On probation in Sequoia Lake, he is spending time with the locals... and a certain single mother.

But Ford is keeping something very important from Liv and their budding relationship may be compromised as a result...

This story was nice and I love the characters and setting of Sequoia Lake. Liv and Ford's relationship didn't really draw me in that much, but Marina Adair writes such a fantastic book, I still throughly enjoyed this read.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
