Gorgeous food photography.
And I'd love to try a number of these recipes (not sure I'd like to MAKE them, because I'm not much of a cook- but I want someone to make them for me, lol).
I have no idea where to purchase a few of the ingredients. Fenugreek seeds? I've heard of them but never seen them.
But for many of the recipes you probably won't need to visit a specialty grocery. She seems to lean very heavily on cumin, butter/lima beans, chile peppers, tomatoes, apple cider vinegar. But there are also a few that will require a trip to the co-op for miso paste, various seeds, and a few other ingredients.
I will definitely flip through this again and pick out a few simple dishes to try, though!

One of the best vegetarian cookbooks I've come across in ages. We're not vegetarians but like to have at least one veggie day each week. This is a very broad and varied range of recipes with a leaning towards spicy / comfort food which we enjoy. I'm looking forward to cooking many of these recipes over the next few weeks. My mouth is watering at the thought!

Following the lovely introduction this book is divided into the sections listed below. It's clear and easy to read, all the recipes are listed at the start of each section so it's easy to find what you're looking for.

My favourite recipes were:

Toasted Buckwheat and Coconut Granola
Roast Carrot Hummus

I have to be honest and say that while there's some interesting ideas and recipes here there's not many I'll keep with me but then I can be quite fussy so it's probably just me, for example:
I don't like dates but yet they appear in so many recipes and while I will try some on the future using a substitution I haven't yet.
I can see why dates are used but they just don't work for me.

Also the book itself is called Natural Feasts so I expected some group pictures of people enjoying the food but there's so many it began to feel like filler.

The introduction was lovely and I really wanted to like this more and I'm sorry to say I didn't.

I have purchased other recipe books by Ella previously and found them to be full of useful and easy to follow recipes and with some I refer back to on a regular basis. This book is no exception. I spent a long weekend trying out a fair few of the recipes that caught my eye; Thyme Fried Mushrooms, Three Bean Stew, Tomato & Eggplant Bake and Orange & Cardamon Cookies. I found the recipes very easy to follow and the ingredients easy to obtain if I hadn't already had them in stock. Visually, mine were not as appealing as the photo's no matter how much care and attention I took, but this, I think could be down to the 'naturalness' of the ingredients :-) I will bake/cook most of these again as they were delicious – and filling - and I am chomping at the bit to attempt more from the book. I love Ella's ethos of healthy and clean eating. I certainly have seen great improvements in my health by introducing more gluten-free, natural and non-processed ingredients to my diets and I know it's a no-brainer to carry on doing so. This book offers you such a wide range of tastes and textures with very easy to follow recipes. You just need to get into a routine of changing your staple weekly groceries, swap a few key ingredients out in your cupboard, and you're away! It will take a little to introduce these new ingredients but once you’ve done so, I promise you, you won't look back. Just take a read about Ella's journey with her health and how she came to evolve her cooking and eating habits and I'm sure elements of it will resonate with many of you. I would definitely purchase this book as I know it will become a go-to reference just having tried a handful of the recipes.

This is a nice coffee table cookbook as the pictures are as much about lifestyle as they are about the food. I liked some of the recipes but felt as though the book was aimed more at the authors followers than those who just want to cook. I would have liked less of the staged people pictures and the random nature shots and more focus on the providing pictures of the recipes. I love seeing a picture of what I am going to cook. I think it will appeal to those who already follow the author. Overall a good book thank you

With plenty of different recipes for plant based, gluten free and vegan lifestyles and each recipe including plenty of healthy vegetables, fruits or nuts this book by Ella once again shows how simple healthy eating can be.

A beautiful, simple layout, with a title and brief description of the item to make as well as listing ingredients on the left column followed by another column on the right full of cooking instructions in a simple font typeset you can easily follow as you create!

Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!

I love the Deliciously Ella website and her blog, I get so many ideas from both of those sites. So, I knew I would love this recipe book. Ella Woodward-Mills takes plant based and gluten free food, along with spices and turns them into delicious meals that I would not of came up with on my own. So many good recipes in this book

This cookbook aligned well with my cooking preferences, being healthy, plant-based, and full of flavorful recipes. Cooking healthily is good for everyone, and (as the author notes) can be used to avoid a whole slew of diet-based illnesses, disorders, and problems.

There are 100 individual recipes, no skimping and throwing in a bunch of simple, two ingredient recipes to pad the content. Author Woodward does seem to have ingredients that she favors (cauliflower, sweet potato) and that appear in several recipes, but I did not mind because those recipes were distinctly different dishes. Breakfast bars looked easy and delicious. Woodward's take on Spring Rolls (nameharumaki), called Summer Rolls, is original and looks incredible. I definitely snagged a few ideas to try.

Now for the not-so-good: the photographs. Some of the photos were fine, but many were taken from odd angles, or seemed too dark, over bright, or the colors seemed a little off. I felt like a stalker was taking the photos, as often the women in them did not seem to be aware of the camera! Some were taken through windows, or were foggy, blurry, or shot from below or above (where was the photographer hiding/hanging?).

Healthy recipes, with easily obtainable ingredients, and nothing frighteningly exotic. Great for families, and for home cooks of all skill levels.
