4.5☆ I'm a huge fan of Chelle Bliss but Meredith Wild is a completely new author to me. So I was intrigued and excited by this pairing and the actual story. Which really didn't disappoint. As not only did Misadventures of a City Girl grab my attention early but it stayed that way throughout and once I got into this story. Which honestly didn't take long. I didn't want to put it down, because it was so entertaining and really enjoyable to read. Plus the characters were really great and their relationship and need for each other is for me what really drove this story. Which is why I would happily recommend Misadventures of a City Girl to others and can't wait to read more from the Misadventures series in the future.

This is the first Meredith Wild and Chelle Bliss book that I've read but I really don't think it will be the last because I very much enjoyed this story. The authors's writing was fast paced and fluid, her characters were likable, their chemistry was fantastic, I loved them!! They made me laugh, swoon, blush; I was just hooked to the story and totally in love with Luke Dawson.
Absolutely recommend it!!

4.5 Finding the Middle Ground Stars
I have to preface this review by mentioning that I have been in a terrible book rut prior to starting this book. I went into it knowing that I love Meredith Wild but never having read Chelle Bliss so I was hopeful but still a bit unsure. I knew this was the first book in the new Misadventures Series and they had a big job to do in setting the precedence for the whole series...well they hit it out of the park! I started this baby a little before 10PM and finished a little after 1 AM. I could not put it down and it gave me all the feels I've been so desperate for.
This book brought together two people in need of some healing and light in the most unlikely of places and made me believe every word. Madison is reeling from the breakup of her marriage from the only man she's ever been with and Luke has withdrawn from society after leaving the military and failing to acclimate back to civilian life. She wants to be alone and he only knows how to be alone yet somehow they can't stay away from each other. Luke is the epitome of "Lumbersexual" to me. If I could draft a list of the qualities my ideal man would have, he would check every box.
This book was so much hotter than I could have imagined as well. It is graphic and sexy, intense and romantic and all the other things that make the romance genre so much fun to read. Misadventures of a City Girl proves that sometimes opposites really do attract. I can't wait to read the other books in this series.
Received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Wonderful read! Seriously addicting! I couldn't put it down and Meredith Wild doesn't disappoint.

I really enjoy both Chelle Bliss and Meredith Wild books - so when I heard that Ms Wild was doing a new series and bringing in favorite romance authors to co write with her I knew I was in and The Misadventures of a City Girl is the first in the new series.
Madison needs to get away from her life - her messy divorce final she needs to get out of LA and regroup and going up to Avalon in Northern California seems like the perfect escape. Then she meets mountain man Luke Dawson (in the most embarrassing way possible) and her 4-week trip to regroup turns into something she never expected. The sex is off the charts but their lifestyles are so different but her feelings are real.
Luke tried real life and it was obvious to him that he just doesn't fit in anywhere. An ex Navy Seal he has seen the worst of the worse and his nightmares haunt him. So he does the only thing he can by hiding away in the mountains - it's the only way to keep everyone safe that is until he meets Madison. She is making him feel things he thought was long dead inside of him - the problem is she is a city girl and he can't ask her to move to the mountains for him how can they make it work?
City Girl is a fast paced story that doesn't hold anything back from page one. The combination of Ms Wild and Ms Bliss writing styles flows well together and is seamless. Told in dual POV's we get to see the events from both Madison and Luke's sides along with their individual insecurities and struggles. I would have liked to have a little more about the PTSD struggles that Luke was experiencing - its touched upon but never fully explored and I do think that was a missed opportunity.
All in all, I think that City Girl is a great first book in what should be a fun series.

Great story of wild sexy love found in the least expected places! Luke and Madison are from different worlds but connect so primally, it was hot! LOTS of sexy scenes, but nice to see the charecters found something more than that in each other. They both found "home" in each other. Loved this story! Currently had a lot more sex in it than what I have been reading, but was a nice change of pace.

Loved this sweet emotional read. Hot. Lists of chemistry. There's an instant attraction when Luke and Madison meet. The both meet at a time where they not only need each other to grow but at a point when they had given up hope. Recommended read.

Quick and easy read for when you don't want to read anything too heavy! The erotic scenes are just a bonus! Definitely recommend, will check out the rest of the books in the series!

Enjoyed the ups and downs of the story and look forward to reading more by this author.

WIth the perfect muse of Brock O' Hurun as Luke Dawson., Miss Adventures of a City Girl is wonderful! It is a fun read, I finished in one setting , that is how much I enjoyed it.
The combination of these two fantastic authors works so well in telling Madison and Luke's sexy, HOT, intense story. Ms. WIld and Miss Bliss tell a story that is not only the aforementioned, but also poignant. Issues such as PTSD , social anxiety, divorce and loss. This is much more than a romance story, this is a story about learning to live again. I ONLY wished they had a child, just because I am selfish and wanted it to be so.
I am not a big fan of insta love, so much that I took a break and asked my husband when he knew he loved me. I love a book that makes you think. He explained it so spot on that I went back in the story with a new set of eyes, and it worked!
I loved it so much! Thanks Ladies for an amazing read.

FINAL DECISION: A fun and very sexy novella about two people who come from different worlds being challenged out of their comfort zone.
THE STORY: Madison Atwood, newly divorced needs a break from her high paced entertainment world in Los Angeles which is too connected with the star ex-husband. While at a "retreat", Madison is caught in a personal moment by Luke Dawson. Luke is a "mountain man" who lives alone. His tours in combat as a Navy Seal have left Luke with PTSD and he doesnt' want to be around people. From the first moment, however, Madison and Luke have a high voltage connection and soon find themselves caught in a snow storm and caught up in a hot affair. The question is there any future for a woman who loves the city and a man who cannot bear to live there.
OPINION: This was a nice break book. A story which I might not put on my keeper shelf but one that was engaging and entertaining while I read it. It starts from a city mouse/country mouse scenario and demonstrates how to people can compromise and find common ground if they are committed to one another and love one another enough.
These characters start with a hot sexual encounter and they essentially end up with a choice -- work to build a bridge between them or leave their relationship as a shallow sexual tension reliever.
I liked these characters who are good and decent people living with the consequences of loving and hurting and living. The story isn't particularly deep and the characters are not very complex, but I really enjoyed the story which reminded me of the feel good category romances, but with a lot more heat.
WORTH MENTIONING: This book is really focused on the relationship through the sexual encounters of the main characters so be prepared for a lot of sex.
CONNECTED BOOKS: MISADVENTURES OF A CITY GIRL is the first in a series of novellas that are only connected by the "misadventures". So far I don't see any overlapping characters or places.
STAR RATING: I give this novella 3.5 stars.
NOTE: I received an ARC of this book via Netgalley in order to provide a review. I was not required to write a review or write a positive review. All opinions contained herein are my own.

This book was everything a start to a new series should be! It was engaging and hard to put down. I loved how human and believable the characters were. They were "broken" and were able to realize what they were missing and not accept the emptiness. They went out and found it and held onto it and made their relationship work. They came into their relationship as equal partners. This is definitely a series to look forward to.

I’m absolutely entertained by this light, sweet, and sexy, Misadventure of a City Girl, book.
After a bitter divorce, Madison Atwood needs a new perspective in life that's when she decided to go to Avalon Spring, a retreat place, away from the city. Hours after arriving, Madison went out to explore the place and saw the spring, being bold she went skinny dipping and went for a swim. Everything so peaceful, until she saw him watching her. Insta-attraction!
Luke Dawson been living alone away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Nature calms him after some horrific thing he saw and experienced while on tour-of-duty as a Navy SEAL officer. On his way home, Luke got distracted by the woman swimming naked in the spring. Mesmerized by her beauty that he just stared and something went hard between his legs. Insta-lust!
The collaboration of Meredith Wild and Chelle Bliss is amazing. The plot, the characters, and those scorching scenes will keep you glued to the story and won’t stop reading until you reach the end page. That’s how engrossing Madison and Luke’s story is! The kind of story you don’t want to end. A must-read to anyone who loves romance in the true sense of the word.

Sweet, fluffy and full on insta-lust and love moments.
Maddie decides to go to a mountain retreat after the humiliating divorce from her ex. She finds a mountain retreat full of hippies but she also finds herself a mountain man.
Luke the mountain man rarely leaves his mountain but when he sees Maddie in a compromising situation he just can’t help himself and makes himself noticed. After a somewhat abrupt departure.
And so the sexcapades start. There was a lot of romping going on here. They say opposites attract and all they have to do is find the middle ground.
It is funny in places, I found it to be somewhat glossy but this is my first book by this author so maybe that is just her style. There was no real depth to the story but I still did very much like it. Easy and a quick read.
The previous book I read was the polar opposite to what I read here and the same applies to the characters in the book which did lift my mood up as the book beforehand well let’s not talk about that book.
If you like feel good, sweet romance with a hot mountain man then this is the book for you.

Misadventures of a City Girl is a sweet and steamy read! The book flowed well and I enjoyed it! Madison and Lucas had scorching hot chemistry! Great read!
I received a copy from Netgalley!

I am a huge fan of all the books Meredith Wild has written so I was so excited to be able to read this one early. Misadventures of a City Girl did not disappoint!! I have never read a book by Chelle Bliss before but now I am a fan and can't wait to read more from her. The relationship between Luke and Madison is so well written and you can feel the passion between them. Could not put the book down and can't wait for the rest of the misadventures books to come out!

I loved this book! It was a hot, hot Read about chance meetings that leads to true love. I didn't like the heroine at first but her true nature shined through. This is a great series that has unrelated stories but is tied together with the theme of finding true love and getting your happily ever after.

Easy breezy read with all the expected punches. Girl meets boy, isn't ready, falls in love, happy ending. Will most likely read the others in the series!

The Misadventures series is a brilliant!!!!
My first book introduction starts with Luke and Madison. She's fresh off of a very public divorce from her high school boyfriend turned famous. Jeremy's infidelity has left her feeling broken and needing to get away. Luke a former Navy Seal has escaped to his land to escape the horror of what he's seen and did during his military career. Living basically off the grid and very privately he's no looking for love.
Crashing into each other's world in the most erotic way was hot hot hot.
I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
Thanks you Netgally for letting me read and review!!!

OMG i love this book.
If you have ever believed in love finding you when you least expect it, then you need to read this book. Madison Atwood is a recently divorced woman who is having a really hard time dealing with the fall out of her marriage and the way it happened. So she made a reservation at a mountain resort to try and gather back her life so she can move on. On the day she arrives, she meets Luke Dawson in an embarrassing way. L
Luke Dawson is a veteran who served as a Navy Seal. He has seen many things that has made living in the city very hard for him. So he has rebuilt a cabin that was handed down to him in the mountains.
From the moment that they met the sexual tension is unbelievable between them. As they get to know one another, they find out that they have a lot in common and a lot of things that need to be worked out with the help of each other.
Did they help each other with there problems? Did Luke over come is problem of living in the city? Did Madison ever get past her problems from her divorce? You will have to read this book to find out.
Please don't let negative reviews for this book influence your decision on wither you buy it or not. Everyone's opinion varies. So take a chance and buy the book, cause in my opinion it will be well worth it.
