Luke and Madison couldn't be more different. She is a city girl and he is a mountain man, but the things they have in common are strong.
A super sexy read that will draw you in and let you get lost between the beautiful hard back covers. Lots of steamy sex scenes and a story of over-coming their pasts and finding a way to step outside their comfort zones to support the one you love.

One hot, sexy read! The mixture of dealing with broken people and passion was fantastic. Make sure you have something to cool you off when you read this.

Okay, but the writing to me, was meh. Not my cup of tea.

Wonderfully written love story
I'm not sure how a collaboration works in writing a book but Meredith Wild and Chelle Bliss have certainly found the perfect balance. Madison and Luke were such interesting characters, not flawless but real. The story from their very unique first meet to their HEA was interesting. A thoughtful journey of lust and real love.
I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a heartwarming sexy read.
I received an advance reader copy from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.

I think the premise of the storyline was good but I personally really struggle with the whole insta-love phenomenon, how can you fall for someone so quickly when you have just gone through a traumatic end to a marriage? Unfortunately the sex scenes were really frequent too & I found myself skipping them so I could see where the story headed.
Sadly not my cup of tea but it wouldn't put me off from trying other books from these two authors

A fresh and sexy read

When I first started this book, I was under the impression that it was a short story. I’m not sure why I had that impression since it’s a book of 300 pages. I’m also not sure if that changed my perception of the book until I realised it was a full-length novel.
Anyway, to start with this story just read like one of my fantasy vacations. Head off into the mountains to detox from busy life and find yourself a hunky, wild mountain man that you can have lots of care-free sex with. Ahhhh - bliss!
From there, the pair get to grips with each other, with their own baggage, and their developing feelings for each other.
At one point - namely the part where Luke and Madison go into town and get into it with the townsfolk - I really stopped liking Maddie for a while. It’s been a few days since I read the book I still have no idea why she acted the way she did. It was so bizarre. The story as a whole took a downward turn towards three stars at that point. Luckily, it picked up again after that and I started enjoying it all over again.
There was a lo-o-o-t of sex in this book and some fruity language to go right along with it - so if that’s not your thing then this isn’t the book for you. There was one occasion of anal sex - which is really not my thing, but it was brief so I managed to skip it and not miss anything of the story. There was also a really odd occasion where Maddie walloped Luke during sex. I mean walloped him in the face. Spanking I can get behind; being hit in the face is just weird, in my opinion.
This is a fun, sexy story about two polar opposites who find comfort in each other and then find more than they bargained for. There are a few blips along the way - in the story as well as for the couple, but overall it’s a fresh, saucy read that will keep you entertained and occupied for a couple of hours. 4 stars from me.

Fantastic read!! I adore Chelle, but this was my first Meredith Wild read, and I totally loved this seamless pairing! They created a wonderful story and great characters with Madison and Luke. While the city girl and mountain man may seem totally opposite, the pair really clicked on all cylinders together! I loved their chemistry from the start, very much instant attraction even if their first meeting both showed it as well as their desire to stay away from the other. The banter was fabulous. The smexiness off the charts. But really for me it was the heart of the story, the way they saw the core of the other and really healed the hurts. A beautiful love story for sure! I'm totally looking forward to more in this Misadventures series!

I was honestly a bit bored with this story, I couldn't really get into it. I struggled to finish.

5 Completely Perfect Adventure Stars!!
Misadventures of a City Girl was amazing right out of the gates. I couldn’t and didn’t want to put this book down! I was 100% drawn in from the very first page. Meredith and Chelle I have to say did an AMAZING job on this story. The casting… OMG you couldn’t have found 2 better people who fit Madison and Luke look wise better than Brock and Marilou.
Madison Atwood is fresh off a divorce from a major Hollywood actor and looking to escape all of the hollywood drama to recover. So she runs to Avalon Springs Retreat in the California mountains to try to deal with things and heal. On her first night at Avalon Madison goes on a little exploring hike trip and stumbles across the hot springs. While resting on the rocks she has her first encounter with Luke Dawson.
Luke Dawson is ex-military who has tried to adjust to civilian life but just couldn’t. So to remove himself from all of the noise and people he has retreat and is living in his family’s cabin in the mountains. By living I mean he is living with no running water, living off the land and very little human interaction. Totally off the grid. That is until he sees Madison sun bathing.
The chemistry between Madison and Luke is off the charts explosive right off the bat. These are two characters who are in need of healing but can they help heal each other? Will Luke be able to help Madison find her old self? Can Madison help Luke get back to the old Luke he was before he went off to war?
Misadventures of a City Girl is a total MUST read! Go and pre-order this book NOW you can thank me later! :-)

Wow what a nice surprise.I loved this one and especially the characters.I fell in love with them so easily and I couldn't get enough of them. Both authors are new to me but I'll definitely try more books of them in the future!

"This story had me smiling so wide, my cheeks hurt! A beautifully rustic romance in the Great Outdoors that makes every believer of love at first sight's heart sing." - Sarah Robinson, bestselling author of NUDES

If you're looking for a very descriptive erotic book ,this is for you. I enjoyed getting to know Madison, a newly divorced city girl from Hollywood & Luke, an ex-Navy Seal leaving in the mountains away from people. Luke is the epitome of a man's man & Madison is what you expect from a city girl, except she jumps into rugged life a lot quicker than I thought she would. The ups & downs of their relationship is well worth the read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this whole series. The romance and stories were believable (backup bride and city girl more so than good wife). They kept my attention and I didn't want to put them down.

Love these books, can't wait for another. They are so much fun to read. Really enjoy them!

This was a good read that I couldn't put down. Madison wanted to go on a retreat after her very public divorce from her husband, they are both from Hollywood, her ex husband cheated and she wants to get away and goes to a retreat. Luke is a man that lives in the mountains outside the retreat and lives on his own and tries to stay away from everyone. When they run into each other and Madison needs his help the chemistry and sparks are flying. This is a great fast moving story and I could not put this book down.
Both these authors have not disappointed with this book. And I am looking forward to the other books in this series, even though they are all standalone who doesn't want to read them all.

4.5 Stars!
Sometimes books with a lot of sexual content lack an engaging story. This was so not the case with Misadventures of a City Girl, by coauthors Meredith Wild and Chelle Bliss. This is the first book I have read from either author, and it certainly won't be the last. The cover is alluring, which instantly caused me to be interested in the book's plot. The writing is well-paced, descriptive, and brings out the true emotions of the characters. This is a hot, well-written book that is worth adding to your TBR list.

Due to formatting issues, I was unable to read this book. Still wishing the best to the authors.

LA divorcee goes to hippie spa but spends all her time in a hunky mountain man’s bed. Hilarity and misunderstandings ensue.
The first note I had was on the fact she booked a four-week stay at a spa. Really? People do that? I’d be bored out of my head in less than a week. Just me? Fine.
My next note was that only a third of the way through and they’re already past their worst issues. Didn’t think the rest of the book would only feature sex. . . then I wondered if her ex would show up. . . and I was right on both counts.
Then there’s the point where I wrote “Wow, this is where a girl should realize he’s too damaged to be with and look out for herself, especially since she has her own problems.” To have her go back to him after that was completely unrealistic, but I suppose it wouldn’t be an “against all odds” romance if she didn’t.
Despite some idiotic moves from both, this is an excellently written book. I always judge by how much I like the protagonist, and except for some strange decisions apparently made to move the plot along early on, I love her. That did cost a potential higher grade, as did the note I wrote higher. This could have earned a 5/5. I’m just glad there wasn’t any need to overplay the angry ex thing.

I discovered this book through the authors getting a photo-shoot done to advertise the book and for the book series website! I follow the photographer that they used, which is how I found out about this book! I then looked it up on Goodreads and it sounded like my kind of read, so I requested a copy on Netgalley! I really wanted to read this book as soon as I received it, but I had a few review books to read first! I then finally had the chance to read it! After reading, I can say that I really enjoyed this book! It wasn't overly long, so it did only take me a few sittings to read! The plot also developed at the perfect pace and there weren't any bits that slowed down! There also wasn't a lot of action and suspense in the plot, but there were plenty of seriously hot scenes! I would say that there were maybe too many hot scenes lol! I felt like there was one in every chapter, which meant that I did end up skimming over them, but they were seriously hot! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Madison was the main female character, and she had been through a rough period in this book, so she wanted some space to clear her head and be away from people! I respected why wanted to get away, and it was one of the best decisions she ever made because it led her to the perfect guy lol! I just loved Madison in this book and she was a city girl that did grow to love being out in the wilderness! Well, most of the time lol! I also liked how Madison and her love interest compromised with their new living arrangements! Luke was the main male character and love interest of Madison! Luke lived by himself in this book in a small cabin away from everyone! He liked his privacy and I could completely understand why he chose to stay away from people! He had seen and done some things that were horrible and he couldn't be around crowds because of his PTSD! Madison showed Luke that he didn't have to be alone and she helped him start to integrate back into society! I loved the way Luke was with Madison too! He was very protective of her and it was easy to see his feelings for her grow! I also loved that this book was written from both Madison and Luke's point of views! I wasn't sure if it was going to be, even though this book is written by two authors, but I'm really happy that it was! It helped me connect more with both characters and it allowed for more things to happen in the plot too! I also can't wait to read the next book in this series! I know that it's going to focus on a completely different set of characters and it's not going to be Chelle writing it with Meredith, but Meredith is going to be co-writing the next book with Helen Hardt, so I'm still very excited to read it! I also already have an ARC of it, so I'm definitely going to be making it my next read or reading it very soon! I can't wait to give it a read! The cover for this book is also stunning! I love how different it is to other covers with not having a cover model or a couple on it, but instead having something that symbolises the book in a way! Big thank you to Netgalley and Waterhouse Press for an ARC of Misadventures of a City Girl!
