What can you expect when you put two amazing authors together? Nothing but the best of a fun story, with plenty of steamy moments incorporated. The first in this "Misadventures Series" City Girl surprises you in the fact of what it is NOT about.
Suffice it to say, I'll never tell!
Thanks ladies for a great read, and I look forward to the next installment!

Misadventures of a city girl
Maddison has just divorced from her cheating husband and decides to get away from L.A. where she is a make up artist and seek sanctuary away from everyday life by booking into a retreat way in the wilderness of California, there she meets Luke an ex navy seal with PTSD who has hidden away in the mountains for the past 5 years not wanting any more contact with civilisation unless absolutely necessary.
So begins this story of their relationship, an extremely hot erotic one, Maddison does not want the life of solitude Luke has, and he could not go back to the city to live ever again. They have to both compromise and this story leads us to their joint decision.
An easy quick read, I did enjoy this book but would of liked a bit more depth to the characters, though the epilogue tied things up nicely.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for opportunity to review this book honestly

4.5 Stars I have never read either of these authors before and the only thing I can say is WHY NOT!! Misadventures of a City Girl was a well written, fabulous story. I loved Luke and Madison their dynamics could be felt through the pages even when they didn’t know it and the storyline held my attention from beginning to end. I will be recommending this book to friends and readers

Love the concept of strong, capable guy living off the grid encountering a city girl out of her element in the mountains. While I read right through it, in the end I wished there'd been a little more plot to go with the sex and the angst. Maybe more going on at the resort to give some credence to its inappropriateness for Madison and a bit more happening in LA to fill in who Madison was before she met Luke. Luke had an interesting background that was mostly unexplored. What was going on in his life while he lived in a high rise in Denver making money? The framework for an interesting character was there, but we didn't get to learn much about him. Others may feel differently, but I like characters with a little more depth and a bit more to the storyline..

I’ve read and enjoyed many books by Ms. Bliss but Ms. Wild is a new-to-me author. They are a powerhouse combination with writing so seamless, I had no idea who wrote what. The writing flowed smoothly and was just such a treasure.
I was hooked from the first word to the last. Madison and Luke both have had painful experiences in their lives, so when they meet, they don’t expect a sizzling connection. There is a LOT of sex in this book although not all of it is detailed. For a man that hasn’t been around a woman in several years, he certainly hasn’t lost his skills and their connection is definitely off the charts!
Ms. Bliss posted on her Facebook page about traveling to the wilds of Canada to film a trailer for this book. Brock O’Hurn is featured as Luke and I was so happy to have his face and body in mind throughout the book. With the long hair, face, muscles, and his height, he was perfect to be MY Luke!
I was so wrapped up in the characters and the story, that I could not put it down. The characters are so different from each other – Madison is a city girl and loves it but comes to love the peaceful mountain where Luke lives. Due to events in Luke’s life, he has lived alone for several years and stays busy chopping wood, growing his food, and other necessities involved with his way of life.
Both are so crazy about each other but can’t quite figure out how they would make things work as Madison lives and works in LA and Luke doesn’t want to leave the peacefulness of his mountain. Even when they decide they will work to find a compromise, I couldn’t quite figure out how it would work out but between Ms. Wild and Ms. Bliss, they came up with a perfect solution!
I LOVED how much Luke cared for Madison and was so eager to do things to make her happy – big things, little things – he just adored her. The two found something rare in each other and it was so poignant to watch their feelings grow. I felt every emotion of the two characters whether painful, sweet, or sad. The story was a perfect blend of sexy, sweet, angst, witty banter, and so compelling.
There are several laugh-out-loud moments in the book, which I truly enjoyed and found myself highlighting a lot of the story. The characters are well developed, the storyline believable, and you can’t help but love both Madison and Luke.
I could have read a story twice as long and still wanted more of Luke and Madison. The story ends with us knowing that they have a positive future but I would love to have even just a glimpse of them a few years down the road – hint, hint! The ending was so sweet that it brought tears to my eyes. One of my top favorite books this year!
Thanks so much to Waterhouse Press and Netgalley for this opportunity to read and review this book.

I am just going to get online and book my vacation to a secluded retreat in the mountains. Why not? I am search for my forever man that will out me first and only, worship my mind and body just as Luke did for Madison. Find my completeness in the throes of passion and tranquility. See that is what I read, what I felt and dream.
I was lost in the pages from beginning to end. Escaping to Avalon to experience peace, enjoying the feeling of no longer just existing and being broken and lonely. I was living from chapter one to the epilogue and crying somewhere in the middle. Yes, this books has everything from sexiness to understanding, growth to pampering, anger to happy tears, a feeling of lost but contemptand strength to move forward. Luke and Madison relationship lives up and exceed the promotion and hype around this release. I am happy to have experienced the vision of Meredith and Chelle and feel that should do this one more time. Great writing chemistry from beginning to end. Well developed characters and a book lovers great escape and book boyfriend.

I love Chelle Bliss' books, she is a must read author for me, this book introduced me to Meredith Wild, and I absolutely loved her writing as well. This is one hot and sexy book. The chemistry between Maddison and Luke was insanely hot. Luke is a sexy mountain man that you can't help but fall in love with. Maddison is a beautiful city girl, the complete opposite of Luke. They didn't realize something was missing in their life until they met one another. They both push each other out of their comfort zone, which makes them closer. This is such fantastic read that I couldn't put it down, I didn't want to put it down. I highly recommend you pick this one up as soon as you can.

Having read and enjoyed two other books in this series, I wanted to like this one. Please note that these books are not at all connected in the series. Anyway this one just didn't do it for me. I felt as though there were too many plot elements thrown together that were unrelated and never really mentioned more than once. All you can say about this one is that there were plenty of steamy scenes. In some ways too many considering that the story never really went beyond the sex.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novella.

Received from NetGalley for review.

I was in a book funk before I started this. I finished it in one day.
Madison leaves on a retreat following a high profile divorce from her douchebag, self absorbed Hollywood ex. She is trying to find herself and get over the hurt of his cheating ways. Madison decides to venture around and finds a hot spring, along with a 6'7" 250lb wall.
Luke, lives alone on the mountain in a cabin with limited resources. He is mysterious and his story is a hard one. There is no way to not get attached to his reclusive ways. The man depends on himself for everything. I find myself like Luke, but I need electricity, running water and cable. Okay, maybe not that much alike. But I feel for him because I have almost the same mindset. Underneath he is a sweet, caring insatiable man.
The way Madison and Luke help each other is inspiring. You never know how much another person could help because your lives are so different. These two help each other but will that help forge them for the long haul or will they take what they learned and move on?
I can't wait to see what reviewers post as the characters. For Luke, maybe Chris Hemsworth? (less)

I'm a huge Meredith Wild fan having fallen in love with her writing reading the Hacker series. I'm not familiar with Chelle Bliss, but if this is the love child they've birth together, I want another!!
Madison is just the right amount sassy for me. Coming off a disastrous divorce from her high school sweetheart turned movie star husband, she books a stay at Avalon to regroup and recharge. She doesn't count on meeting Luke, but when she does the two of them burn as hot as an inferno together. This book is off the charts for steam and love. It's a title not to be missed.

If you are craving an outdoor adventure with a man who can scratch every itch, make you feel like you're the only woman alive and survive alone in the woods then one-click now!
I absolutely loved the intense heat and character banter in this spicy story. I am so ready for winter and look forward to ordering my firewood!
The writing was seamless and I could not tell who crafted what part of the story. Well done ladies, winter has arrived and I think I need to purchase some flannel shirts!

Madison Atwood was ready to start over. She wanted a change after a divorce that reminded her that everything changes and nothing remains the same. Desperate to get away she heads to a retreat that promises more than a way to forget her past, finally moving on, and soaking up the attention of the local resident, Luke Dawson. Luke needs the seclusion of the mountain to quiet the demons associated with PTSD. He has seen and what he has experienced is something he cannot forget. Meeting Madison finally brings him back to life in a way nothing else could ever do.

Madison and Luke deliver a hot and steamy story. Madison is a Hollywood makeup artist just divorced from her high school sweetheart, who just happened to have grown up to be a leading man. Wanting to get away from the media and so-called friends, Madison goes to a mountain retreat and when she gets lost, she finds Luke. Luke is a former Navy SEAL suffering from PTSD and regrets his past, so he's hiding on the mountain. The two have a hot and heavy vacation fling, but can they make it more? Will they be able to mix their worlds and make a go of it, or are they doomed from the beginning, especially when Madison's ex shows up?

This book nearly burned the house down. We are talking HOT. In addition to the heat, Wild and Bliss (is there a better sounding erotic author combo than *that*?!) deliver well-developed, likeable characters and a story of two love-shy people drawn together despite their insanely different lives. Absolutely loved it.

Overall, this was a good book. The real star of the story for me was Luke. He wasn't perfect, but I really connected with him. What he'd been through was beyond tough, and I hurt for him in his isolation and loneliness. The way that he treated Madison---like she was precious---was one of my favorite things about him. He was a true gentleman. Even though he'd be alone for years, he hadn't forgotten human decency. Luke was a great, great man.
Madison had also been through a lot, and she was dealing with her divorce in the best way she knew how. There were times I really liked her and times that I didn't, but overall, she appreciated Luke and that was what was most important to me.
This isn't a long story, but it's packed full of hot sex and a riveting story. I'm looking forward to more from this series.

I loved this story about Hollywood makeup artist Madison Atwood who is trying to straighten her head and heart by escaping to a spa resort in the wilds of Northern California. She tries to get away from everyone by wondering off into the woods, which results in the start of her encounters with intensely hot recluse Luke Dawson. On the face of it they have nothing in common except their powerful attraction but they both have suffered loss and are still struggling to recover from past traumas. Meredith & Chelle have done great job of drawing us into their intense relationship.

I love the opposite attracts storyline! This is one sexy book with off the charts chemistry between the hero and heroine. Luke and Maddison meet each other in a hilarious scene. When a city girl and a reclusive, mountain man meet, they didn't know they were missing something until they found each other. Beautiful. "Misadventures of a City Girl" is a light, yet steamy, read that's hard to put down. I gobbled the story right up! I love the seamless collaboration between authors, too! Fantastic work. Can't wait to read more from this series!

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Madison has just got divorced from her cheating Hollywood husband and needs to get away to sort herself out. She finds a remote resort further north in California, and books herself a room for four weeks, to rethink her life. When she gets there she thinks it is a bit to 'hippy' in outlook. She goes off by herself, walking through the woods, and is startled by a man watching her. Luke is an ex navy SEAL, he has been suffering from severe PTSD and has hidden himself away in a small shack up in the mountains, well away from people. He is mostly self-sufficient, travelling down into the town only to pick up supplies of the things he cannot sort out for himself. There is an instant attraction between them, and soon they cannot bear it when they are not together.
This is a very emotional story, very sexy, and moves forward at a brisk pace. The characters are quite believable.
Madison has to go back to Los Angeles, and Luke doesn't go with her, but after a few hours on his own again he needs her, and sets off after her. Their compromise between her need for the city for her work, and his need to be away from people is perfect, and the happy ending is perfect too.

OMG. I truly enjoyed this novel. Madison is taking a break at a spa resort after her divorce from her cheating ex is finalized. She’s having semi private personal happy time (hey, she thought she was alone) but she is being watched by a SEXY mountain man. The chemistry between these two is great. I appreciate reading about the reason behind Luke’s self-prescribed isolation, unfortunately it is not uncommon. I found myself laughing out loud at times, I enjoyed this so much. Great start to series, I look forward to more.

Madison leaves LA behind to attend a retreat after her divorce becomes final. She and Luke stumble upon each other when she is in a compromising position. Luke and Madison are both intrigued. Madison stumbles right into Luke's cabin and finds him in a compromising position. So begins their tale. Each of them come from separate worlds and it was interesting to watch them try and find some common ground. Each have been burned in the past and neither was looking for love in their lives. I liked how each pushed the other out of their comfort zone. The story was pure in that there weren't a lot of side characters to keep track of. The story mainly centered on these 2 and it was nicely done. It was a quick, easy read that flowed well and kept me quite interested to see what was going to happen. I was glad to have received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley for an honest review. If you like the writing of either of these authors, you will like this book.
