I've been looking forward to reading this book since I first about it. Meredith Wild and Chelle Bliss are two of my favourite authors and they sure didn't disappoint with this one either! It was steamy, roasting hot and on FIRE the whole way through.

Luke... He's like Thor; he has the hair, the muscles and the caveman tendencies, yet he's soft and squidgy when he wants to be, no matter how he wants to come across to other people. I don't blame Madison for not resisting, I certainly wouldn't have been able to.

The characters are great, a mix between feisty and funny, they both have mega differences but they still somehow make it work... they sure put life into perspective for us real life people that's for sure... especially after the hand life dealt them to start with.

A great read, a panty-melting, ovary exploding adventure with the right amount of comedy and a whole lot of hotness. LOVED IT!

Oh this book is so hot and steamy and I loved every word! I want a hot mountain man too! I hate how broken this divorce left her but I was so happy that she took some time to find herself again. Once they both let down their guards and got to know each other and have a crazy amount of sex, I was rooting for these two to make it work! I loved that he left his mountain cabin to come down to her LA house. It was such a pivotal point in this book and it was just perfect! Fun, adventurous characters really made this book fun to read! Loved everything about this book and I can't wait to read more from these authors!!

Great book, loved the wounded mountain man, Luke . I think a little more drama with the ex(s) would have made it more interesting but overall I really enjoyed the book.

This book was very good. Madison needs to get away from the Hollywood scene to get herself together after a divorce. She stays at a relaxation and meditation resort and starts out on a Journey. An Ex-Navy Seal named Luke catches her in the hot springs and the feelings start to show themselves. They "take care" and help each other with the past and enjoy the storm coming in the scenery. An issue takes Madison home and leaves them with decisions to make about the future. I loved the bar scene (Madison was right in what she said). The ending is beautiful and made the story worth reading again.

I received this book through NetGalley for an honest review.

After reading the blurb and hearing about this series i really wanted to read this, I loved the blurb and a big fan of the authors, The flow of the story was perfect, It doesn't feel rush but happens nicely, Madison and Luke where fun getting to know as there chemistry was of the charts hot, I would say they had inst-love cause feel quite quickly. But i love it like that cause when you know you know. Over all this is a great story about a woman getting her life back and a man finding that life doesn't always go the way you want and that sometimes that's a good thing.

Misadventures of a City Girl has one of my favorite romance tropes - two strange people find themselves stranded together in a remote cabin due to bad weather or some other calamity. They get to know each other, fall in love, and have a lot of mind-blowing sex while unable to leave the house. For this reason I was very excited to get my hands on this book.

I quite liked Madison and Luke. They are both very interesting characters: Madison is a city girl, who has just divorced from a famous Hollywood actor, and Luke is a former Navy Seal, who struggles with civil life after his discharge and choses to live in isolation. They have such interesting backgrounds but I found them to be one-dimensional despite their potential. I wish there was more character development. Also I enjoyed the first part of the book a lot more than the second part. In the second part things started to happen very quickly and it felt very rushed and unsatisfying.

Misadventures of a City Girl is a quick, fun read with not a lot of depth. Overall I enjoyed this book but I wanted more character development and more even pacing.

Meredith Wild and Chelle Bliss are two spectacular writers and put together this was nothing short of amazing! What a way to kick off this new Misadventures series!

Madison Atwood is going through a terrible time. She's coming off a high-profile divorce and the last thing she wants is to be tailed around Los Angeles by the gossip seeking paparazzi. In order to get away and to try to center herself again, she decides to head to a mountain retreat known as Avalon Springs. She's searching for solitude and herself, but is she going to find more than that?

Luke Dawson enjoys plenty of that solitude that Madison is looking for. He's lived up on this mountain for years after serving in the armed forces, living off the land with none of the creature comforts most of us are used to. And, he's more than fine with that. Luke sees a beautiful woman frolicking in the hot springs and she definitely catches his attention, but he can tell right away she's a city girl and that is the last thing he wants in his life. Or so he thinks.

When Madison stumbles upon Luke's cabin, the sparks fly immediately. There is no shortage of passion and heat between these two. The question becomes are their lives too different for them to make it work? They've both been hurt and while they are feeling things they haven't felt for years, will that be enough?

This was a hot and sexy book for sure. The chemistry between Luke and Madison sizzles with every passing page. This was a fantastic start to this new Misadventures Series and I can't wait to get my hands on future installments!

Madison meets Luke right after her divorce is finalized from her Hollywood actor husband.

I think that the plot moved along at just the right pace. Not a lot of extraneous filler scenes, but not cut to the point that it takes away from the story.

Madison is strong and independent and I like that she doesn't hesitate to tell Luke what she's thinking and feeling. It is nice to have a heroine who can take care of herself but wants to share her life with him. It really makes for a much more balanced relationship.

Luke was one sexy beefcake, "I arch an eyebrow. “I’m a man, not a p****. What the h*** do I need tweezers for?” There are times Maddy just wants to be selfish with her man, “number one, women are going to be crawling all over you. Number two, it’s suddenly become way more important for you to eff me than for us to have dinner.” I really liked this book, I loved Luke.

With the ink barely dry on her divorce papers, Madison thinks she need to get out of LA and redefine herself. Taking a trip to Avalon should be relaxing, but when she is surprised by a lumberjack in the woods, relaxing is the last thing on her mind. The two have instant explosive chemistry and find that opposites attract. Everyone needs a little Luke in their lives. This book was such a great story with well written characters and a plot that at times made me laugh and at others put a smile on my face. I could not put it down. I look forward to more stories in this series.

After enduring a devastating divorce Madison Atwood is in dire need of an escape, one that will help her forget everything little thing her jerk of an ex-husband took from her. All along she thought things in their marriage were damn near perfect, then she discovered that she wasn't the only woman he was sharing his time with, and it stung like hell... especially after he handed his mistress an engagement ring. So, she starts surfing the net for a destination vacation, and happens upon a mountain retreat that will give her the space she needs... and so much more! A strong, sexy, brutish something more that completely changes the course of her life...

Luke Dawson is a man with a lot of grief, and an lingering demon that has a problem staying in the background, where Luke would prefer it stay. War changes a man, a no one knows that to be truer than Luke, he was once a carefree man, now every little sound effects him. So, living in the city just isn't something he can handle, so he gathers a few belongings and heads deep into the wilderness, far away from others, and all their noise. He likes the peace the mountains provide, but sometimes it's a little lonely... but that all changes when a sexy little tourist wanders into his front door! Now Luke isn't so lonely anymore...

The moment I started this sexy little literary adventure I was hooked, Luke wandered onto the page and I just couldn't walk away from him until I have discovered every little tidbit about the sexy mountain man! He was the complete alpha package, sexy, protective, caring, domineering and he stopped at nothing to make sure Madison felt his love. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, right out the gate I felt myself being pulled into the story line, it had depth, heart wrenching emotion, and a whole lot of steamy action that had me in dire need of a fan!! Ms. Wild and Ms. Bliss have created a story that is sure to readers take readers on a truly exceptional literary escape, and leave them with a happy heart, and a sexy book boyfriend they'll never want to forget!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of the title.
