Guys, I enjoyed this book way more than the first one, Eye Candy. Again, the writing was fantastic, but this time, the story and the characters were great too.

David was great, I really liked how he put himself out there and fought for what he wanted, even though he had been burned before, and had all the reasons not to risk his heart. He was sweet and caring, and not afraid of his feelings, and I loved him for that. Grace was a bit more skittish, and she has a lot more issues, but she trusted Davis and they were so good for each other.

I really liked the romance and the relationship, it was sweet, and I enjoyed that it developed slowly. But I sort of expected the banter to be a little more pronounced throughout the book, even when they got together. But there was no doubt that they were perfect for each other, and they had amazing chemistry.

I loved how sweet and romantic this book was, even through the hard times, but I did feel like some plot lines could have been explored a little bit more. But overall, a very very enjoyable book, that I highly recommend.

We have already been introduced to Davis as Vince's best friend in Eye Candy, as well as being privy to some of the details concerning his past relationship leading to his current pre-occupation with blondes and dismissal of all things red-head. Including his antagonistic verbal sparring with the beautiful barmaid, Grace.

In all honesty, I struggled a little bit to connect with both Grace and Davis. While their issues were understandable to a certain degree, I couldn't help but feel they were a product of their own creation, a self-fulfilling prophecy if you will. I'm a firm believer that it is the negative experiences that shape our identities the most, unfortunately, this can both be a positive and a negative in terms of how we move forward with our lives.

Both Grace and Davis have chosen to avoid the risk of getting hurt by putting specific rules in place. With Davis effectively embracing the role of male escort inclusive of specific pleasure packages, although he doesn't get paid for his services to my mind he was essentially acting as a courtesan to those lucky enough to gain his attention.

I absolutely hated Grace's parents, and especially her mother, for instilling the issues she deals with but even worse for continuing to feed the negativity within Grace :( Causing Grace to self-sabotage her own happiness as a result. Speaking as a parent, the ultimate wish you have for your child is for them to be happy no matter what it is that provides that emotion; I wanted to smack Grace's mother for her meddling.

I did enjoy Davis's transformation and burgeoning self-awareness through the narrative, although he has the tendency to let his emotional fears stand in the way of his emotional well being.

It is obvious Grace and Davis belong together, balancing out the negativity within each other, however, the resolution to their problems felt a little flat, the realization of a good thing after it has gone scenario.

It was nice seeing Vince and Jackie make an appearance through Arm Candy as well as a new player in the Real Love World, Dax, who will be getting his own story in Man Candy.

Davis Price and Grace Buchanan are like chalk and cheese. He's suit and tie, she's ripped jeans and a tattoo. But one thing they have in common is chemistry! When their banter finally results in them going on a date they find that in spite of a bone deep cynicism and crappy pasts, they have the potential for an amazing future together providing they don't screw it up!

This book surprised me. I knew I'd like it (Jessica Lemmon is a great writer and I've enjoyed other books she's written) but I had no idea how much I'd love it! Davis and Gracie were wonderful! In Eye Candy we were introduced to them both, but Davis in particular didn't make that great an impression. He was a great friend, but as a future love interest I was a little underwhelmed. I was very, very wrong! He was adorable. He was sweet, funny, romantic, kind and always gave as good as he got in the banter department!

Grace was the perfect foil for him. She too was sexy, funny and sweet and the banter she shares with Davis was hilarious! I loved the way they were both willing to make themselves vulnerable once they realised that the relationship was becoming unexpectedly serious.

The writing was, as always, first rate and I'm eagerly waiting the release of Man Candy next year. Highly recommended!

Arm Candy is a fun sexy read that I truly adored. I loved these characters and all the snarky banter that goes on between them.

Davis Price definitely has a type and the feisty barb throwing bartender at his favorite pub sure isn't it. So why does she intrigue him so much?? When Grace points out to him he only seems to date blonds and dares him to ask out the next non=blonde he sees, he quickly turns the tables on her and asks Grace out. That's when the fun really begins!

Don't miss this one, it's a must read.

“I never want to forget the way it felt when you told me you loved me.”

Davis Price. Yes, please. I’ll have the Platinum times infinity, thanks.  Want to know what I mean? Then, grab a copy of Arm Candy by Jessica Lemmon. For Davis, and for reasons other than Davis.

This book a mix of light, breezy, feel-goodness and heart-achy sadness, and it’s just wonderful. Immensely enjoyable and incredibly easy to read. I really enjoy the way Ms. Lemmon writes. It’s personable and engaging, and makes me feel very much like I’m in the story—or, at the least, desperately want to be. I’d love to hang out at the bar with Davis and Gracie Lou. Their banter was so good on the page, I can only imagine what seeing it IRL would like…

But I digress. I could probably write paragraph after paragraph about this book; focusing on things like manwhore Davis’ hidden swoony side and sassy Grace’s deep vulnerability. But instead, I’ll boil it down to as few words as possible (said by someone who is a known over-explainer, LOL):

This is book will charm you, amuse you, arouse you and make you smile. It might have a few bumps and humps along the way, but they’re worth it for the end result—time with Davis Price.

She's happy. I think I'd do just about anything to make this woman happy.

~ 4.5 Bubbly STARS ~

This was a sweet, enjoyable, entertaining and low angst read. With two likable characters who shared a spark and some banter. And I certainly preferred Davis and Grace as a couple to Vince and Jackie from Eye Candy. As for the story I did find it slow to develop but saying that it still managed to keep me thoroughly engaged from beginning to end and I thought it was a good read overall. Especially with the addition of the secondary characters including Davis's nan Rose. And I would happily recommend Arm Candy to others. Especially if you are a fan of the author.

I loved Eye Candy so I was extremely excited to get Arm Candy by Jessica Lemmon! I couldn’t wait for more from Jessica and Arm Candy did not let me down!
Grace has the history of not making it past 3 dates with anyone and that is always her choice. She is no stranger to watching relationships fail so she totally build a wall to prevent repeating the pattern. He father left the family behind and totally changed everything about himself and never looked back. Besides for the random gifts her would leave for Grace, she has not seen her in years.

Then there is David…David David David poor guy has been down ever since he was left at the alter on his wedding day. He too has built a wall to protect his heart and opted for a love em and leave em life style. Come on he has a “Davis Package” hahahaha I seriously loved that quote! He too also has family issues that add to his wall. His father died when he was young and his mother was never around so he was raised by his grandmom.

Jessica Lemmon is one of my go to writers for a fun filled, sexy romance book! I am loving this series and I can not wait for more!!!

Arm Candy takes a less conventional but realistic route on the road to romance. Lust + Laughter = Love. Temptation is the draw, but laughter sweetens the pot and I'm a sucker for an awesome love match. Ms. Lemmon left her mark with Grace and Davis' tango into love. She knows his type. He wants her heart. This time around, it's the bad girl that holds all the cards and Mr. Straight Laced, may have just met his match. Jessica Lemmon knows how to create a tasty, tempting treat. Arm Candy is a beautiful surprise.

I am really enjoying this series and couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. I was not disappointed.

Grace didn’t have good role models for what marriage should be growing up. Her parents stayed married because they had her. They had no problem letting Grace hear them yell at each other. Now that she’s older she can’t make it past three dates. When she was older her parents finally did the right thing. She has trust issues when it comes to men. Her dad just up and left and she hasn’t had any contact with him in quite a while.

I love Davis! Even though he works from home he still dresses nice. He goes to a bar every night and sits in the same place. For some reason he can’t figure out why Grace has caught his attention. She is so different from who he normally goes after.

I enjoyed watching these two come together. The whole time was I routing for them to make it work. Relationships take work and these two are determined to do that. I enjoyed this book and these characters.

Real Love #2

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I so love this series. This author makes all of her stories so realistic and has a great writing style. Once you start reading you just fall in love with her characters.
I have really enjoyed both the books in this series and can't wait for book 3 to come out.
Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

Book 2 in the Real Love series. When you meet Davis in the first book Eye Candy I was so interested in seeing what had happened to him in his past that broke his heart so bad. I was pleased to see he was going to get his own story. I liked the first book in this series but I really liked this book! I love opposite attract stories and this one was so good. Davis is a stock analyst who wears suits and Grace is a bartender with a nose ring and tattoos. They couldn't be more opposite and neither one is perfect but it was so well written that it was clear to see they were perfect for each other. Davis is a sweetie and Grace opens him up to love again after his heart was broken years ago. Seriously when he calls her Gracie my heart just melted. I can't recommend this book enough. I hope there will be more to this series so we maybe can get a glimpse of these 2 again.

I asked for an uncorrected advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on Davis' story since I met him in the first book in this series. And boy was he worth the wait. I love love love it when a player is tamed by the right woman.
Davis and Grace couldn't be more different and they couldn't be more perfect for each other. I loved the banter between these two. Both of them shying away from relationships for their own reasons, I loved watching them navigate the feelings neither are prepared for.
This series is as addicting as candy and I can't wait for book 3. If you are looking for a read that is funny and sexy without alot of angst then Arm Candy is the one for you!

Davis Price experienced the ultimate relationship disappointment. Left at the alter literally at the last second at a destination wedding. That could screw a guy up for life! Since then he's been serial dating and it's been 6 years. Grace Buchanan has been doing her own thing after her college degree job ate her up and spit her out. Now she's a bartender and Davis just happens to be one of her regular customers. They seem to have a hate/hate relationship until Davis makes a dating bet. Once given a chance to know each other sparks fly between the two. It's a toss up with their messed up backgrounds who will walk out first. Grace's parents got a bitter divorce then her dad bailed on her. Davis not only had his runaway bride but his mom took off on him when his dad died. In the relationship stakes both have a lot working against them. If only they can be brave. I loved this couple. Individually and together. In the beginning i thought maybe Davis was going to be an ass and the flake in the relationship but he was a pleasant surprise. All i can say is this is a must read book. The emotional stuff is gripping and the sexy scenes are hot. The slow but steady pace will suck you right in and deliver you to a fast and emotional ending.

We met Davis Price in Eye Candy. He is Vince's best friend. Davis shows up at almost every day at McGreevy's Pub in a suit, drinks his Samuel Adams, while watching the news on TV. He spends most of his time flirting and dating any prim and proper blonde he can find. Davis also enjoys his fun and flirty banter with the bartender, Grace Buchanan. Problem is Grace is a redhead so she knows that Davis really isn't into her...too bad...because she is really into him.

Grace is not Davis' usual type. Grace is loud and opinionated with a few tattoos peeking out from places but for some reason he is just drawn to her. Too bad he has sworn off redheads since the number Hannah did on him. After a fun round of bantering and a spoken bet, Davis has an actual date with Grace. Surprising to both of them, they actually really like each other and realize that neither of them is what they thought each other was really like. What starts as a series of only 3 dates, quickly turns into something more. Both Grace and Davis have things from their pasts that make them not want to take that next step in their relationship. It was a tough and emotional road these two had to take to get their happy ending, but it was so worth it. I just adored Davis. He acted like he was so sure of himself all the time, but deep down he had some parts that were not so strong. I really liked Grace too. Based on things from her past, all she really wanted was for someone to love her unconditionally and always be there for her. They both just got each other and together they were finally whole.

Delightfully fun, smexy and appealing. With a title and cover like that you can expect to have delicious fun and Jessica Lemmon delivers. Between the tension and banter, and smiling and fanning myself, I couldn’t stop flipping pages.

Having met Davis and Grace in the previous book and seen the attraction between these two very opposite characters, I thought I knew how their story would go. I was pleasantly surprised when the story’s direction took me on a journey I wasn’t expecting.

After being subjected to heartbreak and humiliation, Davis Price has been protecting his heart and keeping loneliness at bay by casually dating blondes who are the complete opposite of the fiery, sassy, redhead bartender with tattoos, a nose ring and an attitude fascinates him. Which is why after trading barbs nonstop, Grace catches him off guard betting him to date a non-blonde. Rising to the challenge Davis asks Grace to go out with him. Feeling confident that she can keep things casual with the man in the suit she accepts. Can they keep it that way?

Arm Candy is deliciously entertaining and a very quick read. Fun, sexy and romantic. I look forward to seeing more from Jessica Lemmon and this series, who is quickly becoming a go-to author for feel-good reading.

Despite their outward appearances being so different, I really enjoyed how Davis and Grace’s relationship was developed. They were comfortable with each other which allowed them to spend a good part of the book getting to know one another and figure out how to deal with the issues that held them back and made them believe that all relationships are doomed to end. Oh, and did I mention they had a lot of hot, sexy times too?

Arm Candy is book #2 in the Real Love series by Jessica Lemmon. It is a full length standalone romantic comedy. It’s fun, smexy with likeable characters. Told from both points of view with a happy ending.

Taking a risk is exactly what these two needed. What they know from other peoples experiences and past ones have been ruling their lives for too long. What I liked about this story is that they had an attraction since they first saw each other but resisted it. It took a challenge for them to use it as an excuse to be together. Which turned out to be the best decision ever for them. They just click and it feels nice to read their interactions. They are hot together and deserve a change for the good, even if they are scared.

Okay. So I have to admit that I was a little worried going into Arm Candy. You see, Jessica Lemmon is one of my go-to contemporary romance authors, and the first book in the Real Love series was not my favorite. It was good, but not the great I have come to expect from Lemmon. I didn't need to worry. Arm Candy was exactly what I'm expecting when I pick up one of her books.

In Eye Candy, we first met Davis and Grace. Davis was Vince's best friend and Grace was their local bartender. Davis obviously had a thing for Grace, but there was something keeping him from acting on his attraction. Fast forward now to Arm Candy. Davis still isn't ready to break the mold of petite blondes he dates, but Grace issues him a challenge. Soon Davis and Grace are going out on a date and surpassing the bickering banter they exchange at the bar.

This book totally surpassed my expectations for it. Arm Candy was classic Jessica Lemmon and I loved it. The humor and witty dialog woven into the story was fantastic. I couldn't get enough of Davis and Grace's conversations. They were both such great characters. Davis was a hard worker. He had been jilted by love in the past, but that didn't stop him from giving his all to Grace. Grace was a little more hesitant and held her feelings closer to her chest. I loved that their feelings and relationship blossomed in a very realistic way.

Another person I adored was Davis' grandmother. She was a hoot! Her presence in the story was perfect. I do wish she would have played an even bigger part in Arm Candy, though. I loved her so much!

The one thing I should point out is that there wasn't as much drama in Arm Candy as I expected. Well, there was drama. It just didn't feel like there was ever a gigantic moment of it. It felt like their should have been more of an explosion at the climax, but I actually appreciated that there wasn't. The problem of the story felt just as real as the build up of Davis and Grace's relationship.

I'm really happy I continued with the Real Love series. I wouldn't have wanted to miss out on Davis and Grace's story. I can't wait to see what's next for the series.

This is the second book that I have read from this author, and I've gotta say, I freaking loved it! Davis and Gracie Lou's story is filled with sass, Witt, humor, and lots of hot steamy chemistry that jumps off the page at you. I loved these two characters, the story flowed page after page, very difficult to put down, but a girls got to get a little sleep. Grandma Rose was hysterical, and I truly fell in love with how tender and romantic Davis was, definitely swoon worthy. Lots of laugh out loud moments in this book, will keep you entertained from the first page to the very last word. Can't wait for the next book in the series!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

Davis & Grace's story is a great friend's to more story. I loved the banter back and forth between Davis & Grace. So funny!

I loved the main characters Davis & Grace and their histories. Both have pasts that defined them in such a way that made them perfect for each other.

I can't wait to read the next story in this series! I can't wait to see what Jessica Lemmon comes up with next!
