I love the way Cindy Kirk described the bond and sister-love between the bloom sisters in her books. It is very well described. This book is the fourth in this series. It is a standalone but I recommend reading the previous three because it is easier to get the whole picture. I like that there are small updates on the couples from the previous books.
This book has Fin and Jeremy as the main characters. Fin is the fourth sister in the Bloom family. She is coming to her home town because she has to get her ex-boyfriend Jeremy to approve of a location for a photo shoot. The make a deal to comfort his grandmother to fake an engagement. But that is never a good thing and in this case it is not difference. Jeremy thought it was easy to fake it but fate has another opinion about that. He wants her more and more in his life. Fin has a secret why she left Jeremy when they were young and that was a bit of a surprise in this story. I like that in spite of the secret Jeremy supports Fin.

I have two supporting characters that made this story even better. Jeremys grandma is such a nice and fun lady. I like her person really much. She gives the last push to the couple and also gives this story a bit more to it. Anita adds lots of laughs and sparks to the story and is absolutely an asset to it. I found Xander very annoying and selfish. Fin just had to see how he really was at some point.

Some of the previous characters develops through the story as well as Fin and Jeremy does.

I can only recommend this book if you like to read romance novels. This is not an erotic book but a romance novel. And a very well written one. There are a few steamy hot scenes but it is more about the romance.

Cindy Kirk hit it out of the park with this adorable love story! I fell in love with Fin and Jeremy immediately. Their story, while fairly predictable, was one I couldn't get enough of. I was sad to see the book end, but wanted to know how things were left with Fin and the decision she made. Can't wait for the new book in the series! Cindy Kirk, you have a new fan!

I didn't like she was engaged to one man and fake engaged to another.

I love the Bloom sisters!! This is the story of Fin and Jeremy with a second chance romance. Fin has returned to Good Hope with one thing, to get the mayor, Jeremy to approve a shoot location in Good Hope. With a fake engagement and a little help from family and friends, their relationship is rekindled. Fin has been holding onto a secret from family and Jeremy that may jeopardize their relationship though.

I adore these characters, very likeable and genuine. I would love to move to visit /move to Good Hope, a real sense of love and community. My favorite line, "it's that family and community are what's important in life". I read this book through kindle unlimited. I highly recommend this book.

However, the film’s shooting schedule would take place during the month of December; forcing the town to forego its traditional holiday festivities. Many treasured events including the popular Twelve Nights celebration would have to be cancelled or postponed. Mayor Jeremy Rakes cast the deciding vote against the proposal. But, Xander is used to getting his way. He has tasked Fin with trying to convince the town board members and local merchants to vote in favor of the proposal at a second meeting.
Second chances, family connections and happiness are three important themes in the novel. Jeremy and Fin agree to a phony engagement when Jeremy’s grandmother, Ruby, suffers a heart attack. Their engagement gives Ruby the incentive she needs for her surgery.
This is my favorite scene in the novel:

‘Her eyes lit up. ‘You’ll play?”
‘I’m willing to answer a question or two, so long as you reciprocate.’
Her sudden grin had Jeremy’s heart skipping a beat. For a second he forgot all about his grandmother.
She handed a card to Jeremy with a flourish. ‘You read it.’
‘If you could write a note to your younger self, what would you say in only three words?”
‘Three words.’ Fin chewed on her lower lip, her gaze unsettled. Don’t be afraid.”
Fin’s honest answer to the above question changes the direction of the story. It prompts Jeremy to confess that he knew there were two things he wanted when he was sixteen; to live in Good Hope and Fin. He admits that loosing Fin is his biggest regret. I enjoyed the scenes where Ruby played matchmaker and arranged premarital counseling for Fin and Jeremy and helped plan their wedding—these scenes were cleverly written and added an element of humor to the story. The chemistry between the couple sparks and their relationship becomes romantic. As she spends more time with Jeremy, Fin realizes what is missing in her relationship with Xander and she begins to appreciate and value the man Jeremy has become.

Fin shares a secret with Jeremy, something that she had not shared with her sisters or friends. Jeremy is deeply affected by the secret. Cindy Kirk hinted that Fin was hiding something from her past during the novel. The unveiling of the secret and Jeremy’s reaction were key elements in the couple’s journey and were perfectly written. Loved the conclusion to this heart felt story as it had several unexpected surprises for Jeremy and Fin!

This is my favorite small-town romance series - I love the Bloom family and even more, I love the town of Good Hope. People aren't perfect, but they are (mostly) nice, and it just seems like such a neat place to live.

This story focuses on Fin, who revisits her roots in order to help persuade the town to forgo normal Christmas celebrations in favor of money and the chance to be a movie set. I was a bit worried because the blurb describes basically a love triangle, but the triangle wasn't really an issue - hooray! Finn has a past with the town mayor, and I liked their chemistry all the way through the story. I also like that even the annoying characters have some redeeming qualities.

Oh Fin! Oh Jeremy! I'm not usually a fan of the fake engagement plot but this time around it totally worked. The Bloom sisters have kept me happily reading for four books now (but you'd be fine reading this as a standalone) because they are just so relatable. Even Fin, who has been working in Hollywood and has the hotshot finance, is someone I can see sitting down with for coffee. Love the small town setting too. These are happy, optimistic books that are perfect when you just want to relax. Kirk has a light breezy writing style and even though you know where this is going, you will totally enjoy the journey. Cindy Kirk, returns to the town and people of Good Hope for the fourth time, to finally give us Delphinium Bloom and Jeremy Rakes’s story.

Forever in Good Hope has been a book, that for this reader is a long time coming, Fin and Jeremy’s story of first love and loss has been teased all through the previous three books as each Bloom sister has met and fell for her man, and I was looking forward to seeing how the author would handle their reconnection.

The history she and this man shared was something forever woven through the fabric of her life...

I am going to be honest and say the whole faux-engagement, faux-relationship trope for me has been done to death over the last couple of years, and while occasionally I still get some enjoyment from it, on the whole it has become a bit of a struggle. This one was very much a struggle, and I think mainly because it took a supposedly intelligent woman, and man, and turned them into liars, and they didn't really need to have been. Fin’s actual fiancé; Xander, was an absolute tool, and I have no idea why the author decided it was a good idea to keep that charade up as well as then bring on the second charade with her then pretending to be engaged to Jeremy to some but not all of the Good Hope residents.

No one, especially not some Pompous Ass Hollywood director, could love her as much as he did.

Fin and Jeremy had enough skeletons in their closet to deal with, without all the added hoopla to be honest and I kind of feel a bit miffed that this was the story they got, I understand that Grandmother Ruby’s involvement was some part of the reason, but it just didn’t work for me as a long drawn out plot-point.

On the plus, it was great to go back to Good Hope the town and it’s residents are firmly ingrained now, and it was good to get to know Eliza Shaw more, and the progression of the rest of the Bloom family in general. I hope that the author has more stories to tell with this town and its inhabitants in mind as I really do enjoy my visits, the writing as always was stellar, it was just the story-line that let things down for me on this occasion.

This was a very good second chance romance, I loved Fin and Jeremy from page 1 they had such great chemistry together and honestly I wanted to do bodily harm to Xan, what a jerk. The setting of good Hope was great giving the story and great sense of tradition and community with some very quirky and relatable characters. I would have liked more of an epilogue seeing as Fin was the last sister but hopefully there will be more from this group.

This is the fourth book in the Good Hope series but you do not have to read the first books to enjoy this one – it completely stands alone. This is a sweet and clean story that does not have any graphically described on-screen sex or cursing. If f-bombs and graphic, constant sex bother you they are not a worry with this story.

I requested this story on NetGalley based on the cover and the description and hadn't read any of the other Good Hope books but that didn't matter because while characters from the other books played a part in this story, it completely stood alone. That said, as soon as I finished this book I went to Amazon and purchased the other books which I very much look forward to getting to dig into.

Fin and Jeremy's story was a heart-wrenching second chance romance that made me laugh and cry as I read it. Fin's internal struggle with her secret tore me up, as did her eventual confessions to her loved ones. Although she came across as put together, as her insecurities showed through glaringly in her obsessive need to be perfectly dressed and put together all the time, and the way that she was far too passive with Xander and I found myself rooting for her to find herself - and her backbone - in her home town. Jeremy was solid and dependable and incredibly sweet – exactly the kind of book hero that I like to read about. I cannot wait to read more about the Rakes family twist that went mostly-unresolved. (I also really want Hadley's story because I'm pretty sure I have her secret figured out.)

If you enjoy a beautifully written second chance romance story that will make you smile and break your heart, you should definitely read this book. I highly recommend it.

Great second chance romance! I've really enjoyed all the Good Hope books and this one is no exception. Delphinium “Fin” Bloom returns to Good Hope to try and convince the mayor to allow the company she works for to shoot on location in Good Hope. The fact that the mayor is Fin's high school sweetheart shouldn't be a problem. Right??? Through in the fact that they somehow get caught up in a fake engagement and the hilarity begins.

This is a fantastic small town romance that had me swooning, smiling, and at times tearing up. Just an all around nice read. I highly recommend this one.

The best way to sum up Forever in Good Hope is simple. The best thing I never knew I needed. Small town living, lovable characters and a hard to resist love story. Let's not forget Xander, the clueless slug and the beauty of second chance romance. From beginning to end, Ms. Kirk delights and satisfies with her sentimental walk down memory lane.

Good Hope is one of my most favorite places to visit. Opening the book and sliding back into that world is like a warm hug. I adored Fin and Jeremy! These two so deserved their HEA. And Ruby, bless her heart, is such a great schemer. I just loved her! The story was told at such a great pace that it was hard to make myself stop reading and do those necessary evils (work, laundry, blah). Ms. Kirk has made a wonderful world and her stories are heartwarming and real. I highly recommend this series.

This is the story of Delphinium (Fin) Bloom and her trip back to Good Hope after living in LA for years after leaving home at 18. This is the fourth book in this series. I loved getting to know Fin better. She comes back to Good Hope at the insistence of her Hollywood director fiance to have her help sway the town towards letting him film in their town. It comes down to her ex highschool boyfriend's vote. Being near Jeremy, her ex highschool sweetheart, brings up long lost, buried feelings and secrets. However, Fin finds that with family you can overcome anything. I highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a new series. Great, clean, family values and romance book. I really hope this isn't the last one in the series, I love spending time with the Bloom family.

I really enjoy this series. Delphinium "Fin" comes home to Good Hope to get the town to agree to cancel all Christmas activities & close the town down for her boyfriends filming. She has to work closely with the mayor to get the item back on the agenda & change people's minds about the project. Too bad the mayor is her high school boyfriend, Jeremy.

Each book in this series can be read as a stand alone. Reading the entire series just enhances the understanding of the town & its inhabitants. I love Jeremy's grandmother, Ruby! She's a card! What a total manipulator! Another fantastic book added to the series!

Thanks to a ARC sent to me I have now had the reading pleasure of reading all four books in the Good Hope series . The stories just keep getting better and better. Cindi has a great style of writing that draws you in and the next thing you know you are on the last page. I enjoy books that are part of a series as you get a bit more insight on characters . The Good Hope series is such a great series and Book 4 falls within the same tradition of great character development, easy to read, and a book any reader will enjoy however; this was not my favorite book in the series.

The plot to this book seemed almost forced unlike the other three. I was not impressed by the passive tone Fin had when dealing with her "boyfriend" as that did not seem like the spirit of the Bloom sisters that came before her. The spark and spirit they brought to the plots before were part of the enjoyment to the series, each sister finding her passion with those around them.

I did enjoy the dance Fin and Jeremy performed to get where they landed at the end of the book however; the book would have been more enjoyable with Fin more take charge and demanding of those in her life in my opinion.

Overall it was a good book that I would recommend to any reader, especially following along in the Good Hope series. I love the setting as I am close to Door County and it truly captures what it is like to be from the small communities up there. The problems I had with the book are merely personal as I like strong female characters and still give this book 4 stars as it was a good read.

Xander also believes that Fin's connections in town will change the votes of other members of the council.
Fin has been gone from town for a very long time. Her history has made it important to her that she stay away from a place which holds many unhappy memories.
Fin is part of a family of 4 girls, Amaryllis, Primrose and Marigold. The other 3 sisters have made their homes in Good Hope and established marriages with men who treasure them. Fin has become engaged to Xander but she has no illusions that she will be in a marriage of the same depth of love as her sisters'. Xander has returned to Los Angeles and he has given Fin instructions to do whatever it takes to turn the votes around to support his film project.
Jeremy's grandmother Ruby needs heart bypass surgery. She has chosen not to have the surgery so Fin and Jeremy come up with a plan. They will let her believe they are engaged and after the surgery, they will tell her the truth. What could possibly go wrong?
This is the fourth book in the Good Hope series and the second book I have read. It works as a stand alone read. Because there are many characters in the book, at first it takes focus to get every relationship straight but it quickly becomes easy to follow along and enjoy the characters.
Good Hope is a place where everyone knows everyone else. It is populated by people who are truly caring and who are willing to go the extra mile to do good in their community. When a child is in the midst of cancer treatment the entire town gets together to provide her one wish – an early Christmas. The devotion to detail and the joy each person gets from participating in this special event makes the reader feel as though they are part of the decorating committee.
Life in Good Hope is not always perfect. People have problems and difficulties in life. Some people are less than likable. But, there is a warmth and caring which even involves some of those not so likable characters.
Fin's homecoming has presented her with memories and emotions she has stored away for many years. She has created herself as a capable and ambitious woman who has little or no emotion for life's ups and downs. Her former feelings for Jeremy are bubbling to the surface. She is seeing him as the good man he is. Comparing him to Xander, leaves it quite evident that Xander lacks nearly any humanity or integrity or affection or any good qualities.
Jeremy has never gotten past his feelings for Fin. He hopes that this fake engagement will possibly be an opening to remind Fin of what they had and what could be again. Jeremy's courting is aided by the entire town. It does not take long for Fin to fall into the pattern of connection and affection for the town and its citizens. All the love she had for this town and these people, when she grew up here, is brought back to her.
If Good Hope were a real town, people would want to move there immediately. Even the cold winters in Wisconsin would not deter the desire to become a part of this town.
Ms Kirk has created a cast of characters who provide warmth and depth and a great deal of entertainment. Once you start reading, it will be difficult to pause for any reason.

That said, I have been a fan of this series since the first book. They are fantastic comfort reads and I love being able to check back in with the town in each new installment. I have been waiting for Fin and Jeremy's story so I was very excited to be able to read it early. Second chance love story and a fake engagement? Sign me up! It was a sweet story and made for a perfect afternoon read but it was not my favorite in the series. After all of the buildup, there was no real tension there. They just sort of ended up back together. Fin seemed to smart for the Hollywood boyfriend so that was more of an annoyance than a true conflict. I still enjoyed the book and always love seeing the rest of the Bloom girls in their HEAs. I look forward to the rest of the series.
