I started the book with great expectations but it was rather dull all through. There was far too much repetition for my taste. The feelings of Catherine were explained in so many places that one could easily predict when she would feel depressed, cry and feel miserable. The story line of a middle-aged foreign lady falling in love with her Indian tourist guide held interest briefly but then it became too one sided all too soon. I am sorry but I didn't enjoy the book too much. If it is indeed written by a foreigner to India, the writer has shown commendable grasp of local culture and customs but often I wondered if the author was an Indian!

INDIAN ODYSSEY by Char Rutman is an autobiography written in third person. The story is slow and a little bit boring

Thank you Netgalley for this book.
