The marker Chronicles by Danielle Devor
Books 1-3 in the marker series.
Meet Jimmy Holiday. He’s a former priest with no shame...and a way with demons.
Sorrow’s Point—Jimmy sets out to help a friend with a sick daughter, but she seems to have more than a mere illness. And Jimmy is forced to do something he swore he’d never do…
A good read with good characters. Slow but readable. *.

I really tried to enjoy these three stories, but even though I persevered to the end I found Jimmy very frustrating. The constant references to what Tabby would be cross about was a distraction that that made it difficult to like either of them. That said I liked the idea of Lucy and Doc and thought them a clever and interesting addition. I am sorrry to say I would not recommend this and would probably not read any more of this series

Thank you Net Galley! Proper Creepfest! Creepy as you like and I liked. Great story and great characters. Bring on the next lot.

I have read the first book in this series and liked it because of its eerie and spooky ambiance. I can’t resist a good horror story and the first one was an excellent horror book. When the 3-book set became available, I jumped on the chance to review the next two in the series. First off, I want to say that the books are very well-written. I feel like I’m there when I read the books, and I really connected with the characters because of that. I never lost interest in the books and didn’t feel bored. The characters really make these books, and I love the little adventures they go on. I find the character of Lucy fascinating, and I hope to see more of her in the future. Now for the slight negatives. I really got tired of Jimmy and Tabby’s mini fights in the second two books. A couple of times I couldn’t even figure out why they were angry. And, I wish we had more action and more about the Order and exorcisms; books two and three didn’t quite have the eerie feel of the first one. Other than that, I really enjoyed these books. They were a great read. Recommend! Thanks to NetGalley and City Owl Press for the e-copy of the book which I voluntarily reviewed.
