It seems as if every kid goes through a comedian phase, where they love to ask riddles and tell jokes. And it seems as if the worse the joke is, the funnier it is. We’ve given it a whole name: Dad jokes. Dad jokes, knock knock jokes, riddles, wordplay, and puns. It’s all fun and all funny. These books will give your little comedian a whole new repertoire. And they manage to avoid the potty humor genre!

Classic cheesy kid's jokes. My kids were giggling up a storm. Definitely a great joke book for kids.

This is an age-appropriate joke book for kids. The jokes are split into sections: knock knock jokes, puns, wordplay, silly titles, riddles, tongue twisters and more. Some of the knock knock jokes were a bit lame and the kids I told them to didn't get them, but they loved the rest of the book. There are a few black and white illustrations to add to the book. I liked the spacing and layout of the pages. This is a great book for families, classrooms and school libraries.

Joke books are always popular in our library. Quite a few of the Knock Knock jokes in this book just aren't funny (eg., 'Knock knock', 'Who's there?', 'Honey', 'Honey who?', 'Honey I'm home') and don't quite pass the kid test. It's a bit of a struggle through the Knock Knock section, but they definitely improve after that. The puns are good.

This is exactly the kind of book I would want as a kid to torture anyone within hearing range! Filled with clever, amusing puns, riddles and jokes. The weakest component is the collection of knock knock jokes. Some are standouts, but overall, takes a bit away from the ( very enjoyable ) rest of the book.

It's very refreshing to find a book full of clean (mostly) age-appropriate jokes for kids. I tried some of these out on my nieces and they were a definite hit.

I had to wait a bit, so that I could try a few of these out on a couple of kids. Definitely a hit. A great joke book for both kids, and adults who are often around children. Heck, the pun section was great even for adults.

Definitely a great gift for the children in your lives, or an elementary school teacher to keep in their classroom.

This is not a bad collection of jokes. There are a lot I had never heard before, and I thought I had every joke that appeals to an elementary school student memorized. This is definitely a must have book.

I gave this book to my 7 year old son who is obsessed with jokes right now. He couldn't get enough. He was interrupting me every 2 minutes (if even that long) to tell me a joke he thought was funny in the book, and I agree there were some good ones to be found here! He read Actually. Best. Jokes. Ever in one sitting and as he finished up I asked him if he enjoyed the book and he replied with a very loud yes! I would recommend this book to any younger elementary aged kid!

This is a great joke book for kids! My daughter is seven and fancies herself a comedienne. The only problem is, up until now her jokes have been worthy of rotten tomatoes. She and I went through this joke book and laughed until we cried. A lot of the jokes are simple but that's what makes them so much fun. Love this book!

This book is full of lots of different, funny jokes that are in lots of different formats from riddles to knock knock jokes. It is very appealing, especially to a younger audience.

A nice child-friendly book of jokes split into sections, including 'knock-knock' jokes, puns, and riddles, amongst other types of humour. Very innocent and clean, with lots of one-liners suitable for the budding young comedian. The jokes are nicely laid out with plenty of space between each one therefore are easy to read and flick through, and handy sub-sections for the different types of jokes. Nothing to complain about here, but nothing ground-breaking either.

Is Chantelle Grace's joke collection actually full of the best jokes ever? I don't know, but Actually. Best. Jokes. Ever. Jokes for Kids lives up to the name. Kids will love these jokes, and dorky dads like me will love telling them to the kids.


I'll have to remember some of these so I can induce groans from my family. My favorite sections were the puns and riddles.


"I went to a restaurant last night and had the Wookie steak. It was a little Chewy."


"My friend made a joke about a TV controller. It wasn't remotely funny."


"How do you make the number one disappear? Add a g to it, and it's gone."


"A king, queen, and twins are in a room. How are there no people in the room? They are beds."


I wasn't as thrilled with the "Tricky Titles," book titles with silly authors, like I'm Fine, by Howard Yu. There was also a section of "Tasty Toungue Twisters" that seemed out of place. Other than that, the book lives up to its name for the intended audience.


I'd be curious to know how many of these jokes, riddles, and puns are original with the author. Many are old standards, but there are plenty I had never heard. It made me curious as to whether Grace simply collects and compiles these, or if she's coming up with some on her own. In any case, your elementary school child will surely get a kick out of many of these jokes.

I like how the book is broken down into chapters that each have their own style of jokes. Book would best be enjoyed by older kids. My 5 year old loves telling jokes but a lot of these were beyond her.
