I appreciate that the author faced some challenges in this book but there are some problems in this book. There is some good information but it does get repetitive. All of the couples are from New York but they are "normal" rich couples in NYC. Despite their wealth, inherited or earned, they are just regular parents raising their families. The 1% will see themselves in the book and recognize the same worries that these couples have. The other 99% will see a lot of this book as rich people problems. It seemed liked everyone including the author were making excuses for their behavior and were not comfortable speaking about their wealth. I would have preferred a little more diversity in the interviews esp those with different view points. While this book is far from perfect it is an important book about an under reported part of society.

This book is about rich and privileged people that reside in NYC. The subjects seemed like they were making excuses for their money but yet trying to keep with people in their social class or above. It became a bit over-bearing. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review.

Unfortunately, this title was archived unexpectedly and I did not have a chance to download or read it. I do think my students, living on Chicago's North Shore, would have been interested in its exploration of social class and affluence.
