I really enjoyed reading this book about many of the long forgotten women behind the scenes responsible for San Francisco's Urban Development. The author does a very good job organizing the book. The text is more biographical with an emphasis on women. The chapters on the Mermaid Sculpture in Ghirardelli Square, Supergraphics and architecture models were my favorites and very readable. The text is accompanied by some wonderful photographs. Anyone with an interest in Urban Planning, San Francisco History and Women's History will enjoy this book.
