Although I enjoyed reading this book; I do have to say that there are some things that were challenging for me to overlook and enjoy reading. For instance, I did not like some of the wording used in certain parts of the book. Also, the romantic relationship between Kian and Savvy did not really click for me. Although these are two made it difficult for me to enjoy reading this book, it does not mean that other readers will not enjoy.

Great book! It was my first one by Tracy Wolff, but won't be my last. I'm a sucker for the royalty trope, and this story was very well done. I look forward to the next book in the series!

""You're the writer. Why don't you change the story?"

You never understand how 7 minutes can alter your entire life course. Being one of twin brothers and being born 7 minutes after, Kian became the 'Spare Heir" and in essence lived his life as such without a care in the world for responsibilities until a drastic turn of events....

I found the beginning of the book hooking me in and keeping me interested. The book took a lull for me and felt it was drawn out a bit. If you love a royal romance with some insta-love splashed in grab Royal Pain!

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy.

Prince Kian is the spare prince. His twin is older by 7 minutes pushing him into the role. He plays it well though--Serving his country in the military on weekdays and bedding everyone he can in his free time. Seemingly without responsibility and shirking those he does have, who would guess that more lies beneath the surface? When older twin Garrett is kidnapped, Kian is thrust into the role of Crown Prince. Heavy is the head that wears the crown as Kian struggles with his feelings over his brother's disappearance, his new role, and a newly forming romance with Savvy. Savvy's been keeping a secret from Kian, and with everything Kian has on his plate, can he handle more drama and decide that a relationship with Savvy is worth it despite the past that lies between them?

The story concluded without all the ends tied up nicely. Since I'm now reading Royal Treatment, I hope I will eventually get all the HEAs I'm looking for.

When you are born second into the Royal family; you get to live on the edge, doing what you want, who you want, when you want. But when your twin brother, Garrett, who has been heir to the throne is kidnapped, life changes in an instant. Kian must now be the head of the Royal family, it is his duty as the next heir. But he would do anything to find his brother.

Savannah is just an American who is waitressing to make a living in Wildemar, a place she feel in love with when she visited. But a chance encounter with Royal Hotness, Kian, might change the way Savvy looks at the Royal family. She might has secrets of her own that need to be shared about the family.

Kian and Savvy have an attraction that they are unable to fight. As they learn things about each other, Savvy may hold the biggest secret of all. Will Kian be able to understand? Or was her chance at a fairy tale ending doomed from the start?

I can't say that I hated this book, but I did find it irritating to the point that around 60% I gave it up due to irritation with the main characters and a total disinterest in the mystery going on wayyyy in the background of their awkward love affair.

Playboy prince meets his match in a bartender/waitress. I wanted to love to the story but it tended to drag on at multiple points. There is definitely insta-lust/love between Kian and Savvy right from the beginning. However, Savvy’s past relationship may put a major hinder on her connection with Kian. Kian also has to deal with the kidnapping of his brother, Garrett, the future king.

Possible Spoilers:

I found some aspects of the story very unbelievable; for example, 3 months has passed and no one has any idea what happened to Garrett, not one clue. And the sex scenes became frustrating since they tended to last 2-3 chapters but not in a fun way; I love a good sexy time scene but geez that dragged on to the point it got tedious.

Sometimes, its good to be royal or at least that's what Wildemar's playboy prince thought. Why should the handsome Prince Kian care about what happens at home if he is only the spare ... the just in case royal heir? Life has a way of twisting things about and with the kidnapping of Wildemar's Royal Heir (Garrett), the spare is called to duty.

Every Prince Charming must have the girl from the wrong side of the tracks and that role is filled by Savvy (Savannah), the American who has her own secrets. The hero and the heroine have very good chemistry and while reading it is easy to see what draws them together. Savvy is the independent heroine while Kian is accustomed to women falling at his feet.

For the first installment to the His Royal Hotness series, this was a solid entry with characters (primary and secondary) that kept the reader's interest. Also, there is enough angsty material that makes this first entry hard to put down.

This was a fun, smart, and sexy book! Kian is the spare twin prince who was never supposed to be king but his twin brother has been kidnapped and presumed dead and he has been called back to the palace. He is now in the one place he never wanted to be and fighting off the crown chasers. He has his eye on Savannah Breslin though, a fiesty waitress who is everything he is looking for. She, though, does NOT want anything to do with royalty. This was so much fun.

Spoiler alert:. I will NEVER understand the trope of dating one sibling, then the other. That's gross. I didn't really like the way this book started, with the main character knuckles deep in two girls at once. However, the plot was fairly interesting and kept me going through the book.

I have a great fixation on almost all things, Tracy Wolff. She's definitely a unique writer and I almost always get a surprise while reading her books. Royal Pain was great. I enjoyed it from start to finish and can't wait to dig into Garrett's story when it comes out.

Prince Kian has always viewed his role as the prince as an easy way to party and get women. He's never truly been involved the way his "older" twin brother has been groomed to be since he left the womb. Then his brother is kidnapped and now all eyes are on the crown and on Kian to take over for Garrett. Kian doesn't want the job, all he wants is his brother back.

Enter Savvy who turns Kian's life upside down for numerous reasons. One she's nothing like any of the other girls he's ever been with, and two she has a big secret that makes since totally awkward between the two of them.

I won't give anything away. Promise.

I really enjoyed Kian and Savvy. I liked that despite Kian being a player, he wasn't a complete douche and really tried his best to be the best prince until his brother is found again. I really found his relationship with Savvy to be adorable and I loved Savvy. She knows how to stand up for herself and tell it like it is. I found this story to just be fantastic and full of surprised. A definite must-read.

This book started out promising, but I'm not sure how I feel about suspense in romance novels. For me, it kind of takes away from the magic that is supposed to be happening between the two main characters. Kian and Savannah did have great chemistry and I love the whole Prince/commoner trope, but I just didn't love it.

This book was a very romantic story. I did like how Savannah did rescue Kian in the beginning of the book and it went from there. I am hoping the next one will be as good as this one!

I loved it!!!

I just loved it so much that I could not stop myself from greedily reading one page after the other. A modern hot fairy tale where a prince, even a naughty bad boy unsettling and eligible playboy, meets and falls in love with the woman of his dreams; the one and only. Because every girl expects her prince.

Kian is the second in line to take the crown and he is known for partying around the world enjoying his share of lots but lots of women. All of that changes when the crown prince is kidnapped and Kian is rushed back into the palace by his father. Savvy is an American working in the country of Wildermar as bartender and waitress while she claims to be a writer. She meets Kian in a royal gala when she tries to save him from a mother and daughter trying to set him up and though she helps him escape the embarrassing situation she cannot escape from him.

A wonderful romance story with many hot scenes. If you like erotic novellas, you will surely love this one and you will be looking forward to reading the next story on this realm.

Life's perfect for Kian, well he is a prince and and he's known as The Prince of Hotness, he has a different girl every night, sometimes two. He's the spare so he's a prince with none of the power....but all the perks and that just suits him fine.
Then his brother Garrett is kidnapped and he finds himself suddenly shunted to the title of Crown Prince and everything changes. A waitress catches his eye and they have a little fun as the drama of finding Garrett commences.
I liked this story. There's some great drama and it's fairly emotional at times for Kian. The romance is hot and Savvy has his back in their search for Garrett. There's also a little humour that lightened the mood and made me chuckle.

I waited patiently for ALL of Tracy Wolff’s Ethan Frost series to come out. I binge read the entire series in three days! So, when her new series, His Royal Hotness, came along, I thought that I would try it.

For some reason, I was unable to get into this book! I tried! I liked it for the first half, but as the story went along, I was unable to connect with the characters. It felt like I was being forced to like it. I hate it when a book ends up like that.

I will, however, not give up on Tracy’s work! And my blog will support her and her work. This just was not the book for me.

Tracy Wolff knows how to write heroes who will make you swoon, and Kian is no exception. He was hot, sexy, cocky, and sweet. So very sweet and romantic when he needed to be. Savvy was one tough woman, who wasn't about to relive the mistakes of her past. I loved this story!

Thank you for the opportunity to read. The narrative did not appeal.

I am REALLY not a fan of the man whore as a hero. I understand that reformed rakes make the best partners (at least in romance novels) but Kian definitely embraces all of the “spoils” that his title can bring. I got to the first scene and put it down because I just couldn’t like him … but I felt that I needed to at least try so I came back to it. And I’m glad I did.

Kian actually turned into a guy with more depth than I expected. He’s got some serious issues with his dad (which come to play a lot in the story and I’m sure will be even bigger in his brother’s) and with the pressure of his position in the family. He cares, though, about his brother and his country and wants what is best for his people. He just doesn’t think he’s it. With his brother missing it doesn’t look like he has a choice, at least for now. And then he meets Savvy.

Savvy is understandably hesitant to get involved with a prince – she hasn’t had the best track record with them. And it impacts a lot of her relationship with Kian. Throw in his reputation and things only get trickier.

I was surprised at how much I liked him (she was OK but Kian was definitely a star for me). I’m so glad I gave him another chance and I’m definitely intrigued by what will happen in his brother’s book. There’s a lot of baggage that these two men carry around with their crowns and I’m looking forward to seeing how it all plays out.

I don't like posting negative reviews and I'm not doing that here so please don't take the 3.5 stars as a negative review because I like this author's writing, but for some reason I just didn't connect with these characters -- might have been because I finished a really awesome series prior to reading this and that's always hard -- I find myself having a book hangover and my current read just doesn't measure up. Royal Pain had a good storyline, interesting characters, steam and a little suspense so I would definitely go for it if you like romantic suspense!
