I had a hard time getting into this in the beginning. But, once I did I could not put it down!

This is the story of how Savannah AKA "Savvy" meets Prince Kian. How with everything going on in his life right now, he cannot forget about her. Even with his brother missing, all Kian wants to do is be with her.

Savvy just wants to be left alone. She has a hard time keeping her mind of Kian as well. The attraction between them is sizzling so strong, it is like a living thing. There are past secrets that threaten what they are beginning to have. Can they move past the trouble?

These are some fun characters to read. Sexy times and heat are all throughout this story. It is a joy to turn each page and feel the heart that beats between the two MC's. I cannot wait until I can read the next installment in the His Royal Hotness series!

I'm conceding defeat on this one - as much as I like Tracy Wolff's writing I am seriously douchebag/player'd out.
Although Kian does make progress as a character from the beginning of the book where he embodies entitled playboy. It wasn't enough to overlook his arrogance.
Savannah (Savvy) is a lovely character that I would really like to get to know better, however, the previous relationship she had with Kian's twin brother hangs like a dark cloud over the budding romance with Kian.
Tracy touches on the role of the monarchy in modern society and whether there is still a need for such an institution.
There are also elements of topical issues such as terrorism and extremism within the plot bringing into focus the terrible state of the world today.

Hot,hot and more hot. Royal Pain was a contemporary romance which I received in exchange for an honest review. Thank you kindly Netgalley and Loveswept. Kian is the spare heir to the throne in his small, island country and his life is a bit out of control. His brother, the crown prince, has been kidnapped and the investigation shows no sign of his brother. Savvy sticks her neck out for Kian when he is overcome by mothers of single daughters that have him cornered at an event and they are immediately attracted to one another. Savvy moves on knowing she should definitely not get involved. Kian doesn’t know anything about Savvy’s past so he moves in to make his interest known. Royal Pain is the start of Tracy Wolff’s new A His Royal Hotness series. It has a bit of mystery, romance and pretty hot sex. It is well worth the time spent getting to know this world and the characters.

This premise of this story was good, but in my opinion not executed very well. Kian is the “spare” to the heir, Garrett, of a small European country. As the younger brother by seven minutes, his world is vastly different than that of his brother, the Crown Prince.

His life is completely turned upside down when Garrett is kidnapped and no one knows what has happened to him. As Kian is forced into a role that he wants no part of, he bumps into Savannah, an American living in his country. Savvy is hesitant to get involved with Kian and during the course of the story we find out why.

Over the course of a few weeks, Kian and Savannah manage to begin a relationship all the while Kian and his family are searching for Garrett. Seems a little improbable to me that Kian would cultivate a relationship as his world is falling apart.

Prince Kian is a royal playboy; he is, after all, the spare, while his brother Garrett is the heir to the throne. While Garrett is seven minutes older then Kian, Garrett gets to be king one day and Kian just has to look good. So he is known in the tabloids as Kian, His Royal Hotness. So he spends his weekends partying and enjoying all the perks of being royal.

Savannah "Savvy" Breslin is a bartender/waitress/writer from America that happens to be working at a gala one night and she rescues Prince Kian. He is smitten at first sight and after speaking to her, he wants to get to know her better. But the more time they spend together, they realize that their feelings are growing for each other.

Can they continue seeing each other knowing that a prince and a commoner can never work out? Can Savvy give her heart again and hope it doesn't get broken? Will Kian give up on a relationship with Savvy when he learns about her past? What happens when Prince Garrett is kidnapped?

I love Tracy Wolff’s stories, they pull me in until the end. I can't wait for the next one in this series. I hope you enjoy this one too.

It has been a long while since I read a fairy tale, so I decided it was time to remedy that, but obviously I wanted to ramp up the heat level somewhat. It had mixed results for me, but for a bit of escapism it certainly worked.

Times have definitely moved on for princes, as the media do rather force their behaviour into boxes of their own choosing. But here we find that one had been skirting very effectively under it, even if in the end duty wins out. These elements were revealing and added some depth to the story.

That said, they still get what they want, whatever the consequences, and Savvy is really not keen to succumb, yet she finds Kian to be refreshingly fun, and inevitably irresistible. We get to enjoy the ride... or rather lots of rides!

There was, for me, rather a lot of inner voice, which I find a bit frustrating at times, and a degree of repetitive scenarios. However, I enjoyed getting both their viewpoints, and the scenes between brothers were possibly the most telling. The in-family royal 'feuding' was amusing, and gave what felt like a pretty realistic insight into the rarified world in which they lived.

Definitely a royal fantasy, with a wickedly hot undertone.

Royal Pain is something else. Kian is the spare to the title so he can play and not worry about responsibilities. Savvy has had her runins with being second best in the past. What does she have for the playboy prince?

This book was interesting and fast paced in a way. I was reading and next thing I know I was 80% through. The two are damaged a bit because of their pasts and well together the chemistry explodes off the pages. A missing heir, a waitress/bartender/writer, a spare to the crown and well a whole lot of hot sex. I can't wait for the next one.

This is actually a 3 1/2 stars. I liked the passion between these two people and how they overcame their issues. Savvy promised herself to stay away from Royals. Kian never expected to be the responsible Royal. Both were willing to ignore their internal warnings to find some happiness, even though misunderstandings almost split them apart. The harder part for me was what felt like a rush to the ending. There are several secondary characters that I would like to revisit in the next book. I plan on reading the next in the series when it comes out.

I received a copy of this story through Netgalley, and this is my unsolicited review.

So this one is one where some of my own personal feelings affect my review. When Prince Kian is suddenly rushed home because his bother the future King has been kidnapped and he must step into his role as future king, he isn't to thrilled. He is a playboy through and through. When he meets Savannah he is intrigued and wants to get to know her better. Something he has never wanted.
Savannah is keeping a secret and when it is revealed, I personally was turned off.

Spoiler... She was in love with Kian's brother a few years back. She is a writer/bartender/waitress. Kian's brother never knew of her because his brother kept her a secret and then broke it off because she was not royal. So there is the two things I had trouble with. She is now falling in love with the other brother, just yuck for me. and the fact that she kept it a secret when things were starting to get hot and heavy between her and Kian.
There was the mystery surrounding the kidnapping and if this book had played out more of that story I think I would have like it much more.

I loved the story of Kian and Savvy. How they met, how they developed was just very charming. I liked the bit of drama with Kian's kidnapped brother. Kept me on the edge of my seat. Tracy Wolff's stories draw you in from the first word until the very last.

We've all heard the term "an Heir and the Spare" (just in case you haven't it means, Two children - typically in reference to members of the monarchy or nobility, said to need two children, one to succeed to a title and the other to guarantee the family line should anything happen to the first) well this book is about Prince Kian, the spare, aka His Royal Hotness, and what happens to the spare if anything should happen to the Heir.

I have to say that I did enjoy Kian and Savvy together, I didn't like that she was hiding something from him that she should have been upfront about at the very beginning. I LOVED Kian's bodyguards, there was just something about the three men hired to protect the prince at all costs, they were down to earth and funny, not something you would expect from anyone in their position and that is probably why I enjoyed them so much.

Kian is your typical elite playboy but he steps up to the plate (for the most part) when it is expected of him. Savvy, although she was hiding a very big secret, was great. I loved Savvy's spunky attitude and the way she kept Kian on his toes, they had great chemistry as well. My heart broke for everything Garrett went through and I look forward to reading his story in Royal Treatment which is due out April 2018.

This was a fun and sexy read and a good start to a new series by Tracy Wolff. If you enjoy stories where Royalty fall for commoners grab this book you will not be disappointed.

Tracy Wolff wrote a great novel, filled with a perfect mix of everything you might want in Romance. She did well in balancing the exact amount of drama, of sweetness, of hotness, and humour to bring an enjoyable novel to her readers.https://lilisblissfulpages.wordpress.com/2017/09/28/royal-pain-by-tracy-wolffe/

: 3.5 stars--ROYAL PAIN is the first installment in Tracy Wolff’s contemporary, adult HIS ROYAL HOTNESS erotic, romance series. This is Prince Kian of Wildemar, and waitress Savannah Breslin’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Savvy and Kian) ROYAL PAIN follows the building relationship between Prince Kian of Wildemar, and commoner Savannah Brelsin. Weeks earlier Crown Prince Garrett of Wildemar, and Kian’s twin brother disappeared without a trace. Presumed kidnapped by an anti-monarchy group, Garrett’s whereabouts and safety are unknown. Enter Prince Kian, the spare to the heir’, and a man completely unprepared to ascend to the throne. A manwhore by reputation but a skilled member of the country’s military, Kian is all about partying and fun including his new found interest waitress Savannah Breslin. What ensues is the building relationship between Savannah and Kian; the search and rescue of Prince Garrett; and the potential fall out as Savannah struggles with her position in the Prince’s life.

ROYAL PAIN is a story of family; a dysfunctional family wherein the patriarch is all about position and presentation but a presentation that appears to place the people of Wildemar ahead of his own sons’ welfare but appearances can be deceiving. While the search continues for Prince Garrett, Prince Kian endeavors to mourn the potential loss of his brother as he drowns himself in Savannah Breslin.

The relationship between Savvy and Kian is one of immediate attraction, but an attraction that is complicated by Kian’s royal heritage, and Savannah’s history with a former love that is revealed very early into the story line premise. The $ex scenes are numerous, intimate and intense. Kian is desperate to bury the pain of his brother’s kidnapping with a woman who will not be accepted as a royal mate.

I had a difficult time connecting with the characters including the relationship between Kian and Savvy. I know there is a psychological explanation behind Kian’s need to seek comfort from Savannah Breslin but it is Savannah’s romantic history that is a bigger concern in spite of Kian’s need for our story line heroine. I am purposely being vague about Savannah’s past because it should have been a major point of conflict but was brushed over and accepted too easily and quickly. The premise is entertaining but it lacked the emotional ‘feels’ under the circumstance; the characters are superficial; the romance is energetic and edgy. I am looking forward to Garrett’s story-here’s hoping he is able to overcome the tragedy of his recent abduction.

Didn't love it, didn't hate it. Just wasn't believable enough for me. I couldn't reconcile the Kian in the prologue with the Kian who fell in love and was proposing marriage within a month. I really liked Savannah or Savvy. She's sassy, funny and goes after what she wants, consequences be damned. The steamy bits were super sexy but one was really drawn out. Is that even possible? I felt like it went on for five chapters. Too much inner dialogue and not enough action. I also felt like some bits of the story were left unresolved but maybe they'll be touched on in the next book? Overall, a decent Cinderella romance. If you want light and fluffy but sexy, look no further.

Prince Kian of Wildemar gets who he wants whenever he wants them. Women from sea to sea see the Prince as their “naughty fairy tale” and he is AOK with that! He is not in line to be in power so he can enjoy the prince perks with none of the work. Then one day his twin brother is kidnapped and suddenly he is next in line to be King! If Prince Kain thought the sea of endless ladies was bad before he got closer to the crown you should of seen the after math! But a smart mouth, curvy American is the only one to catch his attention.
This is the perfect not so traditional fairy tale! I loved this book! It was fun, flirty and so sexy! I cannot wait for more!

Royal Pain » is a fun take on the commoner falling for a prince trope, a Cinderella retelling with a twist. Prince Kian of Wildemar, nicknamed His Royal Hotness, is rich and famous. He is the spare heir to the throne and he loves the freedom it gives him. Savvy Breslin is waitressing to pay for her studies. She is feisty and turns Kian’s advances down. Kian is obviously not used to being rejected, but he loves a challenge and he is intrigued.

Kian doesn’t trust easily, it seems to him that most people are only interested in his title. His family is undergoing a lot of stress. His twin brother, heir to the throne, is missing and there is no telling what his kidnappers’ might do. As it happened, Savvy had some secrets of her own.

This book was not what I expected. My issue was that the overall premise of this story was lacking depth and character development. I wanted to know more about Kian and Savvy’s personalities and backstory. The plot was suspenseful but rather predictable, and the ending felt rushed. Overall, this book was a light, easy read but I expected more.

An advanced copy of this book was provided by the publisher, via NetGalley.

Royal Pain by Tracy Wolff was an good read.
The storyline was interesting and kept me turning the pages, and I enjoyed watching Kian and Savvy come together.

A solid start to the His Royal Hotness Series.

At the start of Royal Pain, Kian is the typical playboy and then meets Savvy. Their initial interaction were witty and quite funny with Savvy's attitude and the banter between them, and I actually liked Savvy until she started to doubt everything. The he hasn't called, will he call, oh, no he's not going to call quickly became tedious, but I could've overlooked that. However, there were a few other things that I couldn't overlook. The blurb does allude to the fact that Kian may not be Savvy's first prince and I suppose I should've thought of it, but it didn't occur to me that her first prince could be Kian's brother. It's bad enough that his brother is missing and possibly dead, but he then pursue's this woman even after learning of her past relationship with his brother. For me, that part alone is a bit of an ick factor. Once our couple seals the deal, the story starts to go downhill at a rapid pace. Their marathon steamy times were repetitive and way over the top - I started skimming after around 20 pages on my Kindle on their first, umm, encounter, and skimmed the rest after that. One, in particular, was at least a couple of chapters long. I'm no prude and I do like a good steamy story, but once Kian and Savvy get together, there was very little story and lots and lots of getting together with Savvy freaking out over whether or not he'll call in between.
I did finish the book, but not because I cared where the relationship was going. Honestly, I only wanted to see what happened to the brother, and that last bit of the book was the best of it for me. I understand that there is another His Royal Hotness novel coming, but if this one is any indication of what is to come, I think I'll skip it.

Kian was the royal spare seven minutes younger than his twin Prince Garrett. But Kian has been brought back home and Garrett had been kidnapped and had been missing thirteen weeks already. Kain knows that every day goes by with no phone call, or a ransom demand or an video using Garrett as propaganda for crazy cause it became more and more likely that Kian twin’s Garrett was dead. Garrett is the best of Wilderer certainly the better of the two of them according to Kain. The idea that Kain could ever in any way replace Garrett is more than insulting it’s a joke. A prince is to be interested but not to interested, accessible but not to accessible, concerned but not to concerned. Kain has had to deal with scheming mothers and daughters but as the spare not as he stands in Garrett's place. If Kain doesn’t free himself soon his name would be linked with the daughter Mariella. Then a waitress asked if Kian wanted some champagne and ends up dumping a whole tray of champagne down Kain’s tuxedo. The waitress pulls Kain away to use club soda on the tux, then she took Kain through a door onto a small balcony and the waitress admits she was saving him from the woman. Her name is Savannah/ Saavy . Savvy was born in America but says she is from everywhere as her parents were the theater gypsies. She’d even been an exchange student to Wildemar her second year of college and loved it so much she swore she would come back as soon as she could. Saavy had graduated two years ago with a degree in Creative Writing but wasn’t into theater but still called herself a gypsy. Kian did manage to kiss her but she wouldn’t give her last name or phone number. Lucas is Kian’s bodyguard but also his friend. Lucas offers to find out who Saavy is. Lucas has found out where Saavy lives and her main place she works which is a bar called Wild Sea. Lucas also got Saavy’s phone number and work schedule for Kian. Kian goes to her home and they talk but but she tells him neither of them are ready to start dating as he is gone so much with Garrett missing and her he’s a prince and next in line for the throne at this point. It occurs to Kian Saavy is the only one who has made him truly smile since Garrett went missing. Kain asks Saavy to go on a date and finally got her to say call her in a couple of days. Then Kian tells Saavy he’s going to call her every day until she says yes. Kian then has to go as he has a meeting with an ambassador from America. Saavy got the bartending job six months ago. Saavy took it because it wasn’t a dance club. Saavy thought most nights would be slower than the club down the street. But then Prince Garrett had been there a few months ago and it became an instant hotspot for young hip, urban millennials. Also the owner Marcus and Saavy put together a complicated and exotic cocktail list and it’s pretty much standing room only from six p.m. to one a.m. , But the tips were good and Saavy only had to do waitress gigs if she wanted to. Saavy had loved the country when she was nineteen and was heart broken when she had to leave - partly because of the country and partly because of a boy none other than Prince Garrett. Saavy had never been treated special she was more an afterthought for her parents than they had died in a car accident and she met Garrett. Saavy had spent six months with him and loved him when she left but that was a long time ago. Saavy knew she had to tell Kian but how. Saavy had felt very protective of Kain as Garrett had been when he talked of his younger brother. That is why Saavy had come to his rescue at that party. Kain had went to Garrett’s suite an looked at his favorite book and a set of pictures of Saavy and Garrett together fell out. Kian was waiting for Saavy when she got out of work. Six minutes with Kian made Saavy feel more than she felt with six months with Garrett. But she had tried to stay away from Kian after the party he came to her home. It had been over five years that Saavy had the relationship with Garrett. Kian still believed Garrett was alive. Being with Garrett and then leaving him five years ago had almost destroyed Saavy and now she was with Kian and has no idea what she is doing.but she had never felt like she does with Kian. Saavy was not used to the way Kian treated her like she was special, who put her needs first and worked hard to take care of her but that’s how Saavy gets hurt thinking she was special thinking she matters when it’s been proven over and over to Saavy that she wasn’t special. Saavy couldn’t afford to feel that way about Kian who is the twin brother of the first man Saavy had ever loved.
I loved this story and felt it was great. I loved the plot and the pace. I loved that Garrett was rescued but hated that the king and kingdom doubted Garrett. I loved the relationship between Garrett and Kian and that Kian had faith in his brother after he had been rescued. I loved Kian and Saavy together. Their chemistry was so hot. I couldn’t find anything to complain about while reading this book and I loved that also. I loved the ending that was the best!!!! I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this great romance and I highly recommend.

New York Times best author Tracy Wolff's 50th book, Royal Pain, is the first book in the His Royal Hotness Series. The story is told in a dual pov.

Savannah, aka Savvy, is a feisty American who first came to Wildemar 5 years ago as an exchange student, but had to head back to the states. She left a piece of her heart in Wildemar and when the chance arose she returned to work and write.

Kian, who refers to himself as "the spare", has been living carefree and making his way through the female population. Then he is called home because his brother, the Crown Prince Garrett, disappears. Savvy bumps into Kian, peaks his interest and once he sets his sights on her the chase is on.

Tracy Wolff blended together such a wonderful story filled with angst, humor, and lots of banter. I love how these characters grow as they find what they need. I would be recommend this book and look forward to reading the next book in the series!!
