I’ve read one of Tracy Wolff’s books before, and I loved it so much that I jumped on Royal Pain. Mystery plot with a royal main man? I’m in! This is a good start to Wolff’s His Royal Hotness series.

Prince Kian enjoys his life of excess when it all goes topsy-turvy. His twin brother, Garrett—the Crown Prince of Wildemar—disappears. All of a sudden, Kian’s no longer the spare and is taking on the mantle of responsibility and respectability that his position demands. Enter Savvy, waitress and bartender and free spirit. She hooks Kian but good. If only she wasn’t holding her own secrets.

I wasn’t Kian’s biggest fan at first, but he slowly won me over. Kian’s not used to having the responsibility of the crown on his head, and he really doesn’t want it. He’s feeling choked by it. And with the mystery surrounding Garrett’s disappearance, he’s flying blind.

Savvy rescues Kian one night, and it’s a quick insta-lovey connection. Savvy doesn’t let Kian rely on usual playboy persona, and she’s not falling for his charms. I enjoyed this about her. She says what she thinks, but she’s never reckless.

There’s a whole lotta sex, which I loved! These two have plenty of chemistry, and dang, is Kian a generous guy ;) The second half really stole the show for me. I was wavering about 3.5 stars, but ended up giving it a four because of it. The suspense kicks up a notch, and I was turning pages like mad.

I just wish we had gotten more background on Savvy and that the first half was as engaging as the latter. Overall, I’m really looking forward to book two. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

By the end of this book I did not want it to end. I was in love with the story of the Prince and Savvy. But I must begin with saying that it took me three times of trying to read the book before I made it too the end. The first two times I tried to read the book I got through the prologue and maybe the first two chapters before laying the book aside and telling myself that I would not read the book at all. For my own personel taste the book has way too much foul language and the sex scenes were way too descriptive. But then one day I decided to give the book another try and just over look the negative feelings that I had about the book. I am so glad that I gave it another try, because I fell in love with the story of Prince Hottness and Savvy. I am looking forward to reading the second book in this series. I will once again look over the foul language and detailed sex scenes because I am expecting another great book.

This book was at a very slow pace till they got more detail on his twin brother Garett 3 months after he was kidnapped and he started to fall in love with an American. It started to pick up on the mystery but didn't get finish on the who and why but the romance side did get interesting towards the end. Even though it wasn't the best book I've read it wasn't the worst

What a great read!

Kian is the spare to his brother the heir. When his brother is kidnapped he is forced to step into the Crown Prince’s shoes. A position he does not, nor has he ever, wanted. Trying to not break protocol while fighting off the unwanted attentions of the aristocratic women that are swarming him, he is rescued by a waitress that snags his undivided attention. He hasn’t truly smiled in three months but suddenly he’s laughing and the weight on his shoulders has lifted.

Savannah knows what needs to be done when she spies the prince trying to get away from the barracudas that are circling. Full of confidence she takes control of the situation and whisks Kian away. Unknowingly, she has just placed herself on his radar and things are never going to be the same.

This is a well written, fast paced story so full of fun, steam, heartache, and drama that my kindle never snapped closed once I started it. I truly enjoyed this book and Tracy Wolff is fast becoming one of my favorite authors.

My honest review is for a special copy from NetGalley that I voluntarily read.

I liked this book, it was written very well and got a great story. A prince falling in love with a commoner. The beginning got me hooked, but I just felt that half way through the book, the connection of the leading characters were rushed. There are parts that I thought I really loved, and there were parts that I didn't think too much of .

All in all I would still recommend this book and encourage other readers to take a chance.

Kian is Wildemar's spare heir ... next in line to his twin brother (Garrett) who is minutes older than him. And that doesn't bother Kian at all ... because he gets all the perks of being a prince without having to worry about being groomed to become King. But when Garrett is kidnapped, Kian's privileged world is turned upside down. Three months later, with his brother still missing, he meets Savvy ... an American bartender living in Wildemar. Sparks fly as Kian and Savvy start a physical relationship.

Well there are lots of things I liked about this book, there are few things that I just couldn't get past. I think that Savvy referred to Kian as "His Royal Hotness" too many times. And I really hate to say this, but some of the intimate scenes kinda dragged on too long. But then there were lots of twists and turns in the story that kept me interested ... so I'm really torn about this book.

Took a bit to get moving in the start but so glad that I stuck with it. The heir to the throne is missing so his twin brother must step up and cover until he can be found. Savvy working as a server saves Prince Kian from his royal duties. An instant connection is made, and the prince searches for his Cinderella. Can a royal love a foreign commoner? The King is an unlikable jerk who seems to care little for the happiness of his sons. He is more focused on the country and the performance of royal duties.
The ending is not a cliffhanger but questions remain unanswered until the next book in the series (at least I hope we get the answers).

Living his title to the fullest, Prince Kian enjoyed the women, parties and the doors that swung wide every where he turned.

Well, that was his life, until it became what he least expected. Kian wasn’t expecting to fall for a waitress. But when he falls, he falls hard. Kian, also, didn’t expect his brother, heir to the throne, to go missing. And finally, Kian didn’t expect that the woman he can't pull away from was the one woman his brother gave up for his drive for the throne.

To be honest, I almost didn’t finish this book. The best analogy I can give is fishing. Wolff expertly hooked me but I didn’t realize it right away and by the time I did, I was fully invested in being reeled in.

Royal Pain
By Tracy Wolff
📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

Prince Kian is the second born only minutes behind his twin Garrett. The intimate playboy calling himself the spare. His brother is kid napped throwing Kian into all the responsibilities his brother always handles. Savvy an inspiring writer working as a server/bartender. These two have amazing chemistry but they also have obstacles they'll have to overcome.
I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks you Netgally for letting me read and review.

I've read several of Tracy Wolff's books and have really enjoyed all of them. So when Royal Pain came up to review, I jumped at the chance, even though you never know about these Royal stories, they usually fall flat. But, I'm here to tell you that I really enjoyed this book! It's full of humor, some emotional parts, and oh my lord, a lot of hot steamy chemistry that jumps off the page at you with Kian and Savvy. Interesting dynamic between Savvy and the two brothers, but I really enjoyed her witt and up front sass she had with Kian. Loved the security detail, the cookie jar cracked me up! Would have liked the ending to go a bit further with the King and Garrett, but overall loved the story. Definitely worth the read!

I love the book. Different from other royal story. Suspence, love, family, duty. Can't wait for the other.

I was not able to finish this book, or really get it off the ground. Kian is too much of an asshole for me to get into the story and want to care about him and his feelings. Very disappointed as I really liked the sound of this book!

Kian, Prince Hotness, is the spare heir of Wildermar, enjoying life too the fullest. Till one day life as he knows it comes to an end. His twin brother is kidnapped and he has to handle all the responsibilities of the crown Prince.
At one of the Palace functions, Kian is trying to ward off unwanted attention of crown chasers, when he is saved by a waitress, Savvy, and is smitten by her. But what future can there be between a Prince and a commoner ?
I loved the dynamics between Kian and Savvy, it was super hot. But other than their romance, there is a lot going on in this book. There is drama ,kidnapping, angst and funny moments especially revolving around Kian's bodyguards. I enjoyed Royal Pain and I hope Garret gets his own story soon.

3.5 Stars A sexy royal tale of a commoner Savvy the waitress and a prince, Kian is the.the playboy spare to the throne. Kain's twin brother Garrett the heir has been kidnapped and is missing so Kian has assumed his duties. When he is being accosted by a mother & daughter combo at a castle event Savvy comes to the rescue by dumping a tray of drinks on him. He is intrigued by this sassy American and makes it his duty to seek her out even though she has turned down his advances at the castle.

Tracy Wolff did an excellent job of bringing this couple to life for the reader. Be sure to read to see if Kain & Savvy can find their HEA? Will Garrett to found? Will Savvy's past relationship with another Prince be enough to pull the couple apart.? I really enjoyed this book, I just wished it had a longer ending.

Great start of the series! I loved the beginning of the book: their encounter and how they slowly fell in love. She's very independent and rational, two qualities that I really appreciate in a female character.

At the middle, it turned a bit boring but after a couple of chapters the story gets interesting again.

Prince Kian of Wildemar....he's the "spare" to the heir (just the way he wants it), he loves to party, have sex, and loves that he's known by the tabloids as his Royal Hotness! He is living his life exactly as he wants it...carefree! He's on a yacht enjoying himself when his guards, Niall and Lucas, are at his side because of a helicopter coming close. He knows this party is over. All that is wonderful until he gets the rug pulled out from under him when his twin brother disappears. He now must step up to his royal duties until, if and when, his brother is found.

He meets Savvy aka Savannah at a party when someone he knows wants him but he doesn't share that sentiment is coming in for the kill. Savvy is a waitress and spills drinks on him and rescues him. She whisks him to the employees lounge to clean him up and it's an instant attraction. But, she has a past that could make or break this relationship that she needs to tell him immediately.

Will they find Kian's twin in time? Has he been killed or if he's alive, was he tortured? Can Kian really step up and do what is expected of him? So many questions!

3.5 from me on this one. I enjoyed the story, the characters BUT I absolutely almost stopped reading at the beginning when Savvy tells him why she doesn't go by her given name of Savannah! That reason was totally irrelevant to any part of this story and should never have been added. Who cares why she doesn't use her given name..lots of people don't. Had there been any more of that, I was prepared to stop reading. This book could have been rated higher if it weren't for that. Given the way our "weak, sensitive" society is these days, I felt like that was an unnecessary.

2.5 - "You’re a writer... Why don’t you change the story." Stars.

The first book in Tracy Wolff’s His Royal Hotness series gives us Prince Kian of Wildemar’s story. It’s a bit of a Cinderella tale in that the woman he falls for is a lowly bartender/writer.

I really like him. I shouldn’t I do.

This is one of those books that very much falls into the 'didn’t love it/didn’t hate it' category. The author knows how to craft a story well, and as expected delivered on the sexy-times, but there were several components to the story I didn't like.

First being a bit of a spoiler - (view spoiler) But I in general like this authors writing so I decided to stick with it, and try to ignore that little nugget of information, but it was almost impossible as it was pretty much referenced every other paragraph and even when they were getting down and dirty with each other. Total mood killer for this reader for sure...

"As long as I get to come. I don’t give a shit who I am fucking."

I expected a certain amount of overconfidence and arrogance from Kian, he is a Prince after all, but I struggled to warm to him in general, that fact his twin brother has been kidnapped is the reason he is called home, from his Playboy lifestyle, but I don’t know I just didn’t feel like the situation was given the gravitas it needed until the second half of the book. The ‘insta’ connection between him and Savvy didn’t seem realistic either to be honest, and together although they burned up the sheets their only real connection other than that seemed to be their bond over a mutual acquaintance (see spoiler).

I’ve spent my life burning bridges instead of building them.

I’ll admit I am intrigued about Crown Prince Garrett, so it’s possible I’ll return to the series when his book is released in December. Just wasn’t blown away on this occasion, I do have high expectations of Ms. Wolff though, having read many, many of her books I know the high quality writing she usually offers, and Royal Pain just missed the mark for me on this occasion.

3.5 stars

I've read many books by Tracy Wolff so when I saw this on NetGalley, it was an obvious choice!

Unfortunately, while I liked the premise of the story, it didn't quite reach the potential I had hoped for. Here's what kept me from rating it higher:
1. Repeatedly reminding us what a playboy Kian is...how many women he's been with...etc. ok, got it the first few times. Even got that Savvy is definitely aware of his reputation. No need to belabor the point.
2. His twin brother is kidnapped. It seems like such a footnote for most of the first 3/4 of the book...then things pick up along that front. More emphasis is placed on that part of the story AND their father's reaction to the kidnapping.

It's that last 1/4 of the story that redeems itself to me. And the second to last page in the story between Kian and Savvy? Makes Kian totally swoon-worthy!

I will definitely be reading more Tracy Wolff stories - this one just wasn't my favorite...

Kian aka His Royal Hotness is living the life of a playing until his brother disappears and then life changes. He ends up meeting Savvy and they have a insta-love, I however wasn't really feeling it much. I love Tracey Wolff, but for some reason, this one just couldn't grab my interest I think that is why it took me so long to read it, I have had it on my shelf for a while, and I do not like doing that. It did have it's points, We did have some hot parts, we did have some emotional drama. And, I do not know about you but the ending was I don't even know how to explain, so I wont even try, however I will still recommend so that maybe you can contact me and we can discuss and see if you have a different outlook. I will still follow her, because I do enjoy most of her stuff. And I do have questions that were unanswered.
