4.5 Stars Pretend You’re Safe is full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the very end.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book the characters were well developed and the storyline was filled with intrigue and suspense. Do yourself a favor and add this brand new story from Alexandra Ivy to your must read list. I will definitely be recommending this and buying it in print as well so I have it to add to my collection.

Pretend You're Safe by Alexandra Ivy was a thrilling story I couldn't put it down. I was privileged to preview this book on NetGalley. Jaci abandoned by her widowed mother so she could marry a rich man and have another family. She was raised by her loving grandparents. Rylan the boy next door who she crushed on all her life move to California and made a fortune. When she was a teen someone left "gifts" on her porch that scared her... they stopped when she went away to college....She is back and they are starting again... Rylan is determined to help her and so is sheriff Mike. Like I said I was glued to this book til I finished it.... Can't wait for her next romantic suspense thriller WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?

Riveting story with great character development. This romantic suspense novel is very well done, with many potential bad guys to keep the reader guessing. I suspected everyone and didn't know for sure who the serial killer was until it was revealed by the author. The pace of the story is excellent; I stayed riveted throughout. I really liked the characters of Jaci and Rylan and enjoyed their chemistry. This is the first story I've read by this author, and I look forward to reading more.

Jaci Patterson has a stalker, it started years ago. Gold lockets with bloody hair have been left as presents for her. When they first started appearing local law enforcement dismissed her fears. Jaci left town for awhile and the gifts stopped. Now after a flood in the area a dead body shows up. The lockets start appearing again and local women disappear. Law enforcement is taking it seriously this time. Mike O'Brien, local sheriff and Rylan Cooper both want to protect Jaci. Both are interested in her romantically.

This is a good romantic suspense. Jaci is a strong character who knows what she wants. There is romance, with two heroes to choose from. It could be a love triangle but Jaci makes her choice clear early on. There is suspense and plenty of twists that will keep you guessing who the bad guy is. I was intrigued by the synopsis of the book but am blown away. Excellent story. Ms. Ivy is one heck of a storyteller.

Rylan is all for offering his services to Jaci if she should need them, “I could help with the nap and the shower,” he said, not halting until she was pressed against the edge of the counter." Rylan is a man who likes his rest, "Leaning on his elbow, he stared down at her with a brooding gaze. “You said we could sleep in this morning,” he reminded her." I liked this book, Rylan was sexy, and I fell in love with Jaci. I enjoyed the storyline and it kept me on my toes.

so great and suspenseful. I loved Rylan and his determination to protect Jaci. Jaci just wants a normal life and bake cupcakes and sell her crafts bit a serial killer has targeted Jaci and Rylan is determined to protect her. I felt the bad guy was easy to figure out but still a great read.

Have you ever read a book and didn't want it to end because you liked the characters so much? Well then you will enjoy this book.! Loved Jaci wanted to keep on reading about her and the small town life with so many great characters like Birdie from the Cafe. Not only does this book have great characters there is also the serial killer twist. Who is sending lockets with blood and hair every time he kills to Jaci ? and why ? You will have to read to find out! Every time I thought I figured out who was doing the killing another character comes into question and has you guessing. Really enjoyed this book and definitely would recommend reading!

If you like a book that keeps you guessing right up til the end this is the one for you.

This is a great book that has twists and turns that keep you glued to the story until the very end. I love a book I can get into and not know what's coming and while I thought I did it kept changing. A winner for sure.
