Home All Along is the final novel written by Beth Wiseman in her An Amish Secrets series. I enjoyed this book immensely and was excited to reconnect with all the characters from the previous two books. I loved the character Charlotte. She has lived a very troubled life but that all changes when she moves to Amish country.

Charlotte has many demons in her past that she is trying hard to put to rest but at the funeral of her mother another person from her past reappears. Who is this person and what does she want from Charlotte? Charlotte is still trying to makes the decision to become Amish or not. When she has doubts about her real reason for being baptized into the Amish faith she seeks answers from the Bishop. Does he calm Charlotte's fears and encourage her to go forward or does he suggest she follow another path?

This novels storyline is wonderful and something that could really take place in real life. There are a few subplots to this story which encourages readers to keep turning pages. All the characters are very likeable and lifelike. As you read this story you will encounter several emotions that will also encourage you to read on.

This was a wonderful wrap up to the Amish Secrets Trilogy. It brought closure in many ways but had a great deal of heartache and sorrow for the characters. Charlotte, the main protagonist, is struggling with many aspects of her life and choices she will need to make. Her life is on shakey ground and yet she is bombarded with even more to deal with. A long lost irresponsible sister and niece show up, along with Lena' cancer returning, Daniel's mother's risky pregnancy, and pressure put on Charlotte to make a decision about joining the Amish church. There was so much for Charlotte to deal with but in many ways, it was a realistic picture of life-thus the saying "When it rains, it pours." Each person is forced to make life decisions and it is interesting to see some characters move forward and blossom while others regress until hurt and loss are conquered.
This was truly a well written series and I encourage you to read all three books in sequence. It will make it much more enjoyable because you become attached to the characters.

HOME ALL ALONG by Beth Wiseman Amish.Secrets # 3
Charlotte's mother is gone, decision now, could she embrace the Amish ways to be with Daniel. Andrea, a sister comes for closure, having been adopted out, as a baby. That's it, and she leaves Charlotte, not wanting to get to know her. They are sisters, why did she act so indifferent. What about the changes of being Amish, her biggest is the fear of commitment.
Daniel had a hard decision to make about his mother, how should he, was there a reason for a life. The burden these two have, and not easy decision. For once decided there was no turning back. This story deals more then just young love, and the road they want to follow. Another good story that follows the 2nd one in this series. Readers will be drawing into this and enjoy this story.

Home All Along is the third and final book in Beth Wiseman’s Amish Secret Series. One could read this book as a standalone but it would not be as good, so I recommend starting with the first book in the series where we are introduced to Charlotte so that the reader is fully invested in Charlotte and Daniel’s lives. As I have read all three books, I loved this one and thought it was the perfect close to Charlotte’s story.
Book three starts with Charlotte at her biological mother’s funeral. A mysterious person shows up at the end. It is her long-lost sister Andrea. Andrea had her own set of scars from her childhood even though she was removed from their abusive home as a baby. Andrea and her young daughter end up moving in with Charlotte.
More turmoil is introduced into this book as we learn Lena’s, Charlotte’s surrogate Amish mother, cancer has returned. Lena has a peace about her though and despite the bad news the physicians give her, she looks to God for the final answer and for peace for her family in the outcome.
Charlotte is not the only one dealing with a sick mother. Daniel’s own mother is pregnant and as time gets close, things do not go as smoothly as everyone had hoped. Daniel, his father, and sister are struggling with what the family and community might believe and what modern medicine is doing.
I love how Wiseman takes a much-hated character as Edna and turns her into the only person who can reach Andrea and answer the questions that she had been longing to understand about God and Heaven. It was nice to see the antagonist come forward as a heroine in her own right and even thought Edna will never be my favorite character in this series, it was nice to see her in this role.
The book starts out with Charlotte and Daniel trying to decide how to address their future and ends up with three families dealing with love, illness, death, and understanding God’s will in their own lives and the lives of their loved ones.
Wiseman did a fantastic job bringing all these characters to life in her series. My heart broke and rejoiced right alongside Charlotte, Daniel, Lena, and everyone else in the community. Great job Beth! If I could give 100 stars for this series, it wouldn’t be enough!

I loved all the characters in this book but my favorite character is Charlotte. I recommend you to read this series from the beginning. There is some sadness in the story that had me teared up but turned in to happiness..make sure you read the Epilogue at the end of the book it puts the questions you may have that r unanswered at the end answered. I highly recommend this series. Hope you get your copy September 26th.

This story wraps up the Amish Secrets trilogy. I really think you need to read the first two books in the series to fully understand what is going on in this novel. It would be too confusing with all the characters introduced in the first few chapters if you didn’t know the back story. That said, it was a lovely story about Charlotte coming to grips with her desire to have a life with Daniel and what that requires. I recommend it!

Home All Along ,Book 3 in the Amish Secret Series by Beth Wiseman is not your typical novel about an Englisher living among the Amish. Charlotte has made a home for herself in her late brother Ethan's house. It is quite a change from her first visit, posing as an Amish woman searching for answers about Ethan's death.

Life has had far too many ups and downs for such a young woman.
As a child she and Ethan lived in foster homes with time off to be returned home now and then when their parents were released from rehab or jail. And now, she just wants to live quietly, join the church and marry Daniel. The past, however, has a way of stirring things up. For Charlotte, the past included a sister she hadn't thought of for a very long time. As a baby, Charlotte's sister Andrea was also placed in foster care but never saw her family again. Until, that is, when she tracked Charlotte down at their mother's funeral. It didn't take long for her to get herself moved in with Charlotte, along with her baby. For Charlotte, having her family near was a blessing and she was determined to make them a home together.

In the beginning, it seems the book is about Charlotte and Daniel's love for each other. It is more than that, however, as three families grapple with love, death, illness and how difficult it is to understand God's will under the modern marvels of medicine. The questions Beth Wiseman raises in this novel are complex. I liked how the decisions were made. Sometimes we need someone to nearly hit us with a two by four to wake us up about putting others needs before our desires.

Daniel family struggles with major family decisions. He loves Charlotte but is pulling away from her. Charlotte's beloved friend and motherly mentor Lena faces yet another bout of breast cancer. Andrea is slowly learning from Charlotte's love that life can be different. So many trials are faced in this book yet through it all. Is there enough faith and love for Charlotte and her Daniel to marry? This book is for readers who are looking for characters who are resilient and not willing to give up when life gets hard. Once again, Beth Wiseman has delivered!

Home All Along is book three from Beth Wiseman's Amish Secrets series. I have read the first two books of the series, Her Brother's Keeper and Love Bears All Things, and this one is my favorite. I felt a connection to Charlotte throughout because of what she had endured and I could relate with her and I understand her. It definitely got me emotional at times. Beth Wiseman perfectly knew how to write those things. I, also, loved Daniel's love, patience, sweetness and faith. An all-around story of faith, forgiveness, redemption and finding yourself.

Highly recommended.

I read this book for a honest review. This is the third book in the series and loved the other two and was honored to read the third. The book is about Charlotte who is not Amish but lives some of the Amish ways. She attends the Amish church and is in love with Daniel who is Amish. She drives a old red truck and is considering to make the change to Amish when her Mother dies. She is not close to her Mother and is raised by a Amish family who she loves. At her Mother's funeral she meets a sister who was adopted at birth. Charlotte and her brother was not and had a hard life with her mother who was a addict. This is a beautiful story of trusting and forgiving. Another beautiful story written by a amazing Author.

Home All Along is a beautifully written Amish romance. I recommend this book to fans of Amish fictions.

My inclinations for selecting this book was based primarily on the cover art. It caught my attention, and despite my hesitation to read books on Amish (other than a few authors), I decided to give this book a try.

Home All Along is about Charlotte who is living in and amongst the Amish. She inherited the house that her brother once lived in, and even though she still dresses English and drives a red pickup truck, she's never bothered will installing electricity. Plus, she goes the the community Amish church and has fallen in love with Daniel, an Amish man.

The story starts off with Charlotte at her mom's funeral, and as the reader, you are assaulted by so many different sides. There is the family that she was befriended by, and they are dealing with the resurgence of cancer. Then Daniel is approached by the bishop asking what Charlotte's intentions are. In the meantime, Charlotte is burying her mom, who she didn't have a relationship with. AND, at the same time I'm discovering that Charlotte is left alone in the world, except for a sister that she never knew. The sister, who grew up in foster homes before adoption.

Shew! And all that happened within the first chapters!

That said, I really couldn't get into the book. I was introduced to Charlotte to get to know her and feel her troubles. Instead, there was a basket of characters and words and I was tossed in it and had to figure out what was going on. I gave up. I didn't finish the book. There was no interest in what happened.

If you are a Beth Wiseman fan, you may enjoy this book. But for me, I didn't.

"Home All Along" is one of Beth Wiseman's most deeply touching stories, and Ms. Wiseman has written quite a few! In "Home All Along", readers are brought back in to Charlotte's life as she prepares her mind and heart for Amish baptism, while she continues to date Daniel, and to bask in the love of her "adoptive" parents Lena and Amos. She also faces the sadness of burying her abusive birth mother, along with the emotional conflicts this causes. Charlotte is surprised by the arrival in her life of a sister she had not remembered, and a sweet niece Bella; She takes in Andrea and Bella for a short time to help them get back on their feet. A large portion of the story deals with the parallel health situations of Lena fighting a cancer recurrence, and Eva (mother of Daniel and Annie), who lapses into a coma following giving birth to a new baby. The families are faced with extremely tough decisions. This portion of the story shows readers that the Amish suffer from these situations just as do the "English" as the Amish call us. In the midst of all this, Jacob, Lena and Amos' son, returns from a difficult rumschpsringe period, and reunites with Annie while she is caring for her parents new baby. This story has so many touching moments. I highly recommend "Home All Along."

I almost never read Amish fiction anymore. I used to read all the Beverly Lewis and Cindy Woodsmall books,I could find, but grew bored with the genre.
Earlier this year, I was given the chance to read the second book in this series. Since I like reading series in order, I got the first book from my library and devoured both books in a couple days. So I was ready to finish the series and fins out what happened to Charlotte, Daniel, Jacob, Annie, Amos, Lena, and etc.
This book resolved all the major storylines. And tackled some hard topics, like a DNR. I liked how the hard topics were dealt with and not glossed over.
I enjoyed this series and am so glad I am able to finish the series and find out what happens.
