As someone who has read and re-read the Pride series, I was both excited and nervous about reading Laurenston's new series. I was definitely not disappointed. The new protagonist is not only a bad-ass, she's a POC, and her love interest is as funny as he is sweet. Imagine if a superhot naked woman landed on *your* balcony. The poor guy. He doesn't stand a chance. I'll definitely be recommending that my library buy this title, and when it comes out I'll probably end up buying my own copy so I can re-read a new series over and over.

Not a lot to say since it was just a preview of the book, first chapter only. What I can say is, I've read almost every book by this author, and from the little bit I was able to read it seems extremely promising of another great story. I always love seeing the little bits of characters from other books, so that's a bonus. The characters so far seem interesting, not enough interaction to gauge anything else. Looking forward to reading the rest of the book.

This review could change as it's only based off the first chapter that is up on Netgalley. I feel like it was just to tease me! From the very first though it drew me in! Loved the first chapter and really can't wait to read the rest of this book! Seems like a great start to an offshoot series! And as her books are always great, I really don't see this book being bad!

The first chapter give us glimpse of who are shifters and how they will fit into Ms Laurenston world,

Very hard to do a review when its onlt the first chapter. Looking really good so far.

Teaser chapter only. While it is an action-packed and tempting chapter it is too short upon which to base a recommendation or review.

Whart little I read in this excerpt has made me so curious anout this book! This is the first time I received an excerpt to review, so it's a good thing I enjoy Laurentson's stories. Looking forward to adding this to my library. :)

I for one was so sad when this sneak peak of the first chapter ended....I cannot wait for more. I don't want to ruin the fun for anyone but it would seem we get to see my favorite Jean Louis Parker family again, at least a little!

Great first chapter. Eagerly awaiting the rest of the book.

Great first chapter in this book on the new series on the honey badgers.
Set up nicely that shows the jackal family Toni's brother and his bodyguard who helps the lead female MC.
I realise the rest will be just as good!

Ebook contained only Chapter One so therefore can not obviously give a review.

The first chapter of this book is Awesome! It drew me in and made me want the book even more. I cannot wait for it to be published. Shelley Laurenston Rocks!!

Although it was only the first chapter, you can already tell it's going to be a great book full of the usual Shelly Laurenston flair and humour.

I cant believe this was a sample. I did not want it to end. I demand more.
amazing!

Having read previous shifter books I always look forward to Ms Laurenston new book... the first chapter preview gives the reader an insight of a the new arch of honey badgers and tantalising hints of previous characters means that I will be buying the book as soon as it's out.

bBerg and Coop are in their room when a naked woman, Charlie falls on to their balcony....she had been shot. After Charlie's attackers follow her, they hit Coop instead and his bear side does not appreciate that. I was drawn in on the first page and couldn't wait to see what happens when I remembered it was only a sneak peek at the book. I cannot wait until the book is released. I have enjoyed all of Ms. Laurenston's shifter books.

I did not review it since it was only the first chapter. There just isn't enough for me to say about it yet.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on the first chapter thanks to Netgalley and it was amaaaaazing!
I mean, are you really surprised? It's a spinoff series focused on honey badges shifters!
This book looks like it's going to center around honey badger Charlie and the grizzly shifter Berg.
Charlie wakes to being ambushed by mystery human hit squad and somehow ends up in Berg's hotel room naked and injured.
Guess what Berg is doing... he's famous pianist Cooper Jean-Louis Parker's bodyguard! Yay! A little dip back into original series! Even a phone call to big sister Toni!
This chapter/snippet ends after Charlie escapes and jumps into a stolen fancy car with sister (of course high speed with the boys in blue following) on their way to their other sister who seems slightly insane.
Cannot wait to read the rest of this book! The way it's looking, it's going to be just a great and hilarious (if not more) than her other Pride books!

That was one hell of a teaser!
I blame myself for requesting this on Netgalley without realizing it was for an advance copy of the opening chapter. I'm such a Shelly Laurenston fan that I just automatically hit "request" when I saw her name. Now I'm dying for this to be release in 2018.
What an action-packed mix of crazy: a near-sighted honey badger, gun shots, hot bodyguard, viciously funny sister, and the always funny Coop (Toni-Jean's little brother). And Charlie's sister is Asian. So many questions. I'm so in, I really have no idea how I'm going to wait until 2018 for this one.
Note: I received an advance copy of the opening chapter and will update this review when I am able to read the whole book.
