This was only one chapter and I enjoyed it enough that I have the book on pre=order. Star rating is based on sample not entire book

I really enjoyed the sample and I can't wait to pick up the completed book!

It's just a sneak peek... and what can I say?...
Let's read the whole book because the first chapter has already been very promising.
I do not know the author. I hope I can put her on my favorite list soon.

This review is only for the first chapter of HOT AND BADGERED by Shelly Laurenston. Normally I would give a synopsis, but having only read the first chapter, the one provided by the publisher is more than I know. However, I definitely want to read this book to see how it all turns out. The story starts off in action filled shifter fashion with a woman on the run from someone who wants to take her out. I am already invested in the characters and want to take the this wild ride with them.

"It’s not every day that a beautiful naked woman falls out of the sky and lands face-first on grizzly shifter Berg Dunn’s hotel balcony. Definitely they don’t usually hop up and demand his best gun. Berg gives the lady a grizzly-sized t-shirt and his cell phone, too, just on style points. And then she’s gone, taking his XXXL heart with her. By the time he figures out she’s a honey badger shifter, it’s too late.

Honey badgers are survivors. Brutal, vicious, ill-tempered survivors. Or maybe Charlie Taylor-MacKilligan is just pissed that her useless father is trying to get them all killed again, and won’t even tell her how. Protecting her little sisters has always been her job, and she’s not about to let some pesky giant grizzly protection specialist with a network of every shifter in Manhattan get in her way. Wait. He’s trying to help? Why would he want to do that? He’s cute enough that she just might let him tag along—that is, if he can keep up . . . ("

I only got tease from NetGalley! Just the first chapter. I love her Pride series but the Honey Badgers rock! They get their own series! I cannot wait to read this book!

Unable to judge a book on just one chapter and therefore didn't get around to reading the one chapter

This is only the first chapter, but it's fast paced and funny, two of things that make Shelly Laurenston books so fantastic to read. I"ve already pre-ordered this newest edition and can't wait until it comes out.

This was just a sample and I can't wait to read the full story. The book grabs your attention from the beginning and hooks you into the story. I am looking forward to finishing book. I have loved the original series so this spin-off type series is great!!

I only got two chapters of this book as an ARC from NetGalley so I can't really review the whole book. There wasn't a great glimpse of either Charlotte (Charlie,a badger shifter) or Berg (grizzly shifter) so I'm not sure how the rest of the book is going to go. We know that Charlie has at least two sisters (or that's the impression), one of which needs watching every moment of the day. Oh, and the book opens with men breaking into Charlotte's hotel room just as she gets a warning call. She drops down to the room below which just so happens to be the one where Cooper (famous pianist, jackal shifter) who we met in the last book is being guarded by Berg.
I'm a little trepidatious about how this book is going to go but I trust Laurenston so I'll definitely read this book as soon as I can get my hands on it.

Three stars
This book comes out March 27th
ARC of first two chapters provided by NetGalley

I can't wait to read more! So far the characters are great, and I always love Laurenston's humor. Her shifters are hilarious.

Just a little sample of the book, rather than a full on book for review, but it was enough to snag my interest and make me want to read the whole thing when it comes out in March! Laurenston rarely goes wrong.

I always enjoy a novel that drops you off in the middle of the action, and lets you try to catch up. Hot and Badgered does that, but also gives you enough of a description that you aren't confused about everything, instead you can sit back and enjoy the ride. So far, having read the first chapter I'm intrigued enough to want to pick up this book and see what happens next.

Can't wait to read the book the first chapter definitely set the bar high for the rest.

Laurenston's reputation for active, funny characters has difficulty overcoming the brevity of this one-chapter sample. With the action flying across the page right from the start, it promises to be a thrill-ride addition to her ouvre.

With laugh-out-loud humor, Shelly Laurenston always draws her readers into amazing plots. This one starts off with an bang - almost literally! - and draws the readers straight into action. This is a continuation from the previous book, which is great because Wolf With Benefits was my favorite book of Laurenston's by far. Each book seems to be better and better and, so far, this one is not the exception. I can not wait until it is officially released.

If this is a glimpse of what's to come, then this is a definite must read! After only reading one chapter, Laurenston has sucked me back into her world. This author never disappoints.
