I was lucky enough to get my hands on the first chapter thanks to Netgalley.
My interest is definitely piqued and I've got loads of questions. I can't wait to read more!

This is a chapter reveal of this book and I already want to read this book. I wanted more I hated but at the same time loved that I got just a little appetizer we should say of what the rest of the book will be. I know I will be impatiently patiently waiting for this to release and/or be offered on here.

I wasn't sure what to expect because it usually takes me a few chapters to get into a book so I didn't think a chapter excerpt would capture my attention. Shelly Laurenton had me hooked from the beginning with the action. Unfortunately the excerpt of Hot and Badgered wasn't long enough for me. I was just wondering who everyone was when it ended, So now I have all kinds of questions about the 3 sisters and whether or not the hero and heroine come back together. Ms. Laurenton has got me interested in her world of shifters and who is after the 3 MacKilligan sisters and how the grizzly shifter will be helping them out.

This is a first chapter peek at a new series set in the shifter world of Shelly Laurenston. I was excited by the glimpse of familiar side characters and the intro o if new ones. I'm super excited about a series with more Honey Badger shifters, they are hilarious. This little preview is only going to torture me until March!!!! I suggest if you haven't read her other books you use this time to catch up!

Nice chapter excerpt. I'm happy to see previous characters from the Pride series, but also the new and exciting characters introduced. Can't wait to read the full novel.

Ok confession time as I downloaded this without realising that it's essentially just a sample. Still I was very intrigued by the characters introduced and think that Berg the big, slightly scary grizzly is going to be a bit of a handful. Oh and speaking of handfuls he is about to come face to very naked face with Charlie who is a honey badger! If you've ever read a story by this author then you already know where honey badgers go trouble and general mayhem is never that far away ! I'm really interested to find out what happens next so will look out for this when it's released.

Hot and badgered chaotic glimpse into the beginning of a new shifter series by Shelly Laurenston. I receive of the first chapter from NetGalley to get a preview and it was interesting. Seems to be in a modern world where shifters are not a good thing to be. You meet a few characters and only get minimal backstory on the world and the characters.

This is the first book in the Honey Badger Chronicles. I do think that it has a good chance of being a great series. The communication between the sisters in this chapter one preview was amusing. I'm not sure if this preview makes me feel like I have to pick the book up. You're left with a bunch of confusing character questions. Who is Charlie? How is Maxie her sister? Who is their sister that they've been protecting? Why is she so important that Charlie and Maxie have people trying to kill them to get to her. For me, when there are more questions than knowns and now way to get an immediate answer it’s a bummer.

I do really like Shelly Laurenston and I know that she does shifter novels great. I am definitely going to keep my eye out on this series in the future. I will watch out for others reviews and popularity and keep it as a standby for the future.

A wonderful and hilarious start to what is sure to be one of my favorite reads of 2018!

This is definitely an interesting start. I do not usually read excerpts because I am not a fan of starting something I don’t even have the option to finish at the time. That being said I really liked the start of this one. The reader is introduced to a few characters and the dangers they are facing. Looking forward to reading the rest of the book.

I received an excerpt of this book, but man, it starts off like a tornado. I was instantly thrown into an exciting action scene. There was lots of references to paranormal/animal morphing people and the whole thing made me want to read more. I'm definitely going to have to read the rest of the book.

The first chapter to this book is action packed from the first page. Charley wakes to a phone call telling her to get out now, and without a thought, she leaps from bed, out the sliding glass door, is shot, falls over the balcony, and lands naked on someone else's balcony.

Berg is the bodyguard for Coop, a famous pianist. Luckily, he is also a grizzly shifter so when armed men come after the woman on his balcony he is able to fight them off while Charley makes her escape. Even though Charley lost her glasses in her hotel room, she is interested in the giant that saved her, she thinks he sounded cute and he was so nice!

Amongst all the blood and violence, there is still humor (typical Shelly Laurenston humor). This chapter sets up Berg and Charley meeting, introduces Charley and her sisters, and teases the reader to find out where the relationship between Charley and Berg will lead.

I haven't written a review since I only got one chapter, but I will say that I am jonesing for the rest of the book!

This was my first taste of this author and it definitely left me wanting more. I'll definitely be purchasing the book so I can read it in its entirety.

I have read many of Shelly Laurenston books and this is the start of another amazingly entertaining story. I will definitely be going to read the rest of it. Honey Badgers are the Bomb! <3

I've been reading Laurenston for years. I've read the Pack Challenge trio, the long Pride series, Hunting Season, and the first of her new Norse mythology series. I got sick and didn't have the energy to read, and got behind on my series. When I finished the last of the Pride series I was sad. I thought that was probably it for the characters I'd spent so much time with. Earlier this month I was scrolling around on NetGalley and saw the blub about Hot and Badgered and that it's the first of a new, related, shifter series. I was thrilled to know I'd get to dive back into the shifter world.

I read this chapter this morning and loved it. I can't wait for the book to come out.

Verdict - Based on previous works and chapter one, Recommended.
