I wish I loved this book. It has a lot of promise. But for me it just fell a bit flat. The writing was a little stilted, which for me is a big drawback. I love the setting, I enjoyed the characters, and there was a lot going on, which helped carry me through. But ultimately, this book wasn't really for me. It wasn't horrible, but I can't enthusiastically say that I think everyone should read it.
