"Stirring Up the Sheriff" is the 3rd book in the 'Wildhorse Ranch Brothers' series, and the author did not disappoint in any of them. The chemistry was hot without being too over the top for Sheriff Trent Wild and Marianne. The story focused on two strong people that knew what they wanted out of life and found it in their small town with each other. It was such a quick fun sexy romance, that I found myself turning pages to find that Trent and Marianne found their HEA in the town of Lockhart Bend. I recommend the series if you are a reader of good romance, that are not too sweet and not over the top sex stories, but just the sweet sexy romance story that gives you that aha moment when reading. I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for gifting me "Stirring Up the Sheriff". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 4 Stars!

The residents of the small town where not to keen on the idea she was changing one of their beloved landmarks into something else. As the sheriff, Trent is there to keep the peace and he made a promise to look after the newest resident, and not ready for the undeniable attraction he feels. As he helps Marianne acclimate to his small town they begin to find they have more in common.

Marianne is returning to the small town she was born in with determination and a plan. That plan will put her on the opposite side of the debate with the local sheriff, Trent who likes things just as they’ve always been. When Marianne buys the Honky Tonk bar from her aunt she plans to reopen it as a brewery pub. She is talented at brewing beer and plans to sell her stock to the locals, as well as running her newly designed pub. She’s out to prove a point that the small town gossips were wrong about her back then, and she can stick to something and be successful. Unfortunately, she didn’t really consider that what she wanted to build here in this small town doesn’t really have a small town audience. And one stubborn, opinionated neighbor who happens to be the sheriff will remind her of that fact… constantly.

Trent and Marianne make an interesting pair. Their bickering and sexual tension drive them both and provide an interesting feel to their story. Some outside drama, a bit of a challenge and learning how to compromise will move this story alone.

I enjoyed my time here and would recommend this story and this series to any Romance reader.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Two and a half stars.

OMG I have so much dislike for both characters and their friends/ family it's untrue.

Marianne Stanton buys her Aunt Celia's pub in small town Lockhart Bend. She has decided to change it from a Honky Tonk Bar to a brewpub. Editorialising, how does she even know if people want a brew pub? Apparently she wants to grow her own ingredients, although she has a fully stocked pub so I'm not sure where that came from.

Trent Wild is the local sheriff, he also happens to live next door. Their relationship starts off rocky, especially when Trent tells Marianne that no-one will come to the pub if she rips out all the traditional features and changes the appearance too much. First, I thought Marianne was an idiot for basically trying to make a small town bar into a City brewpub overnight. Second I thought she was extra stupid to completely redecorate as well. Especially because she was removing everything wholesale and replacing it with things that would look out of place. But I also thought Trent was an interfering overbearing guy who liked to mansplain things to Marianne at every opportunity.

The two of them seemed to go from arguing to sex to love in about five minutes flat. No reason why either of them should love each other, frankly I thought they were both pretty unlovable. And don't get me started on the irritating, interfering friends!

I felt overall that this was one of those novellas that didn't really know which market it was aiming at and kind of missed all of them. There was a lot of teasing and brushing up against each other, but it wasn't erotica. There was the small town setting but we didn't really get a flavour of the small town life. There was the brewpub thing, but honestly Marianne didn't really seem that into it and certainly didn't seem to know much about running a business. There was a bit of drama which fizzled out very quickly and an ex-husband story that went nowhere.

Stirring Up the Sheriff is sexy and sweet. Marianne Stanton has come to Lockhart Bend to take over her aunt's bar, The Honky Tonk, and turn it into a brewpub. Sheriff Trent Wild promised Marianne's aunt that he'd look in on her niece, but he certainly hadn't been expecting that niece to be so beautiful. He's not exactly thrilled that she plans on changing his favorite bar into a brewpub, but he'll still keep his word and watch out for Marianne. Not that it's exactly a hardship for him, watching over, helping, such a beautiful woman.

As the two start to spend time together, a sexy chemistry develops. Trent's falling hard, but Marianne is really guarded, and determined to make a success of the brewpub on her own. She had let a man get in the way of her success before, and she's determined that not happen again. If only a certain sexy sheriff didn't insist on butting in and worming his way into her bed and her heart.

I like Stirring Up the Sheriff. It's short, sweet and sexy and who wouldn't like a hot man in uniform and all the craft beer he can possibly ask for?!

Loved this story of starting over again along with the problems and insecurities that follow. Really enjoyed how the author "brewed" the romantic angle between Trent and Marianne. Couldn't put the book down!

I just love this book and author. Really like how you have alpha male but they never be too over the top in control in Lesile books/series. Also how the women are so strong and sassy and smart that the alpha male can't help falling for. Totally loved this series so far and totally recommend this book and all of Lesile north books. I've left a review on Amazon.uk

Perfect title for fans who enjoy Carolyn. Brown's Honky Tonk Series. I just wish I had a neighbour such as the sheriff ;)

The best of this series yet! Trent was an awesome guy, willing to help out the newcomer despite not necessarily agreeing with what Marianne wanted to do. Marianne was a sweetheart and really knew her beer! The push and pull with these two was fun and the steamy scenes were just that! STEAMY!

Marianne is moving into Lockhart Bend as the owner of her aunt's old Honky Tonk bar and she's going to turn it into a new brewery for her brewing skills. Sheriff Trent Wild decides to check out his favourite Honky Tonk bar and it's new owner. The woman he discovers there is a woman he'd liked to know until he learns what her plans are for the Honky Tonk, craft beers are not what the town and the Honky Tonk are about, and he's not keen on making changes. They have many squabbles, but there's also lots of chemistry which they can't deny. It's a good story and a fun read, I enjoyed it very much.

Lockhart Bend Texas holds a fresh start for Marianne Stanton. Following her divorce that not only severed her from her husband but her partner too; Marianne seeks to fulfill her dream of establishing a brewpub. As in all dreams there are roadblocks along the way like rabbits and headstrong, set in their ways small town residents. This is the third Wildhorse Ranch Brothers installment but can be read as a stand-alone. Leslie North spins a story of determination and romance that leads to the HEA. A copy of this book was provided to my by Relay Publishing and author via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read an my comments here are my own opinion.

I received and ARC of this book from NetGalley this is a voluntary review. I enjoyed this quick read this book was very enjoyable. The two main characters had wonderful chemistry together. Trent wanted to resist change when Marianne first took over her aunts bar but eventually their interactions made him more of her partner. The book has a great ending I would recommend this read.

Loved this novel and I loved this series. I loved the main characters in the novel. I loved the chemistry between the two. I loved Marianne spirit and her desire to follow her dreams of opening a Honky Tonk Bar. I absolutely adored Trent and the chemistry that was between the two main characters. Once I started reading I did not want to put it down until the end. Can't wait to see what this author has in store for her next novel.
