This book is a good fit for readers looking for a steamy romance with a focus on complex family dynamics and the pursuit of truth.

This didn't feel like a romance. I couldn't care about what happened, and I didn't believe the HEA. I pushed through to finish it, but I felt like I forced myself.

THE BILLIONAIRES: THE STEPBROTHERS - Calista Fox

#3 in the Lover's Triangle erotica series

HOT! - 3 stars

Plot - 4 stars - During her latest insurance investigation, Scarlet meets two stepbrothers who gained some questionable millions right after some family artwork was stolen.

Writing - 3 stars - Fox grabbed my attention from the first page. I could sense the sexual tension, but then it erupted into a very erotic scene right away, followed by another hot scene soon after that. The story kept moving forward quickly and passionately after that. The ending was a bit of a disappointment. There was a lot of justifying for what Karina did, and it seemed overdone.

Characters - 3 stars - We finally get to know Scarlet better, after meeting her in the two previous books in this series. She is dedicated to her job, almost to the exclusion of everything else. She is extremely determined to find answers, but her softer side is coming to the surface as she develops her unusual relationship with the brothers. Michael and Sam are both ideal romantic heroes. They are strong and authoritative, handsome and rich. They also have family loyalty and a sense of caring. Too good to be true?

Title - 3 stars - The title follows the theme from the other books in this series, but it seems pretty unimaginative.

Cover - 4 stars - At first glance, it just seems blurry and uninspiring, but a further look finds the softness of the scene.

Overall - 3 stars - This was a very enjoyable book and rounded out the series nicely. The mystery of the stolen artwork kept my interest throughout, while the erotic scenes piqued my interest without going overboard. However, the ending seemed somewhat contrived. It's a good idea to cross all the t's at the end of a series, but this ending seemed a little too pat and perfect.

Scarlet Drake is an insurance fraud investigator who has been assigned to find the thief for a missing painting from Vandenberg's Hampton mansion. She is always thorough and she need to investigate all the possibilities including two handsome sons. She knew she won't receive warm welcome from Michael Vandenberg and when she saw him sparks were flying between them. However she still needed to investigate and when she finds out he has a stepbrother Sam Reed, she is flying to meet him as well.
As she investigates both brothers, she can't forget either of them. Her best friends are enjoying threesome relationships and she is curious if she could have one of her own. But she has a job to do before she jumps in with Michael and Sam.
As investigating Scarlet investigates she realizes she will need to dig deeper into his family and it won't be easy feat. Sam and Micheal really enjoys Scarlet but it won't be easy for all three.
As the story moves along, Scarlet digs secrets that will tear them apart and puts Scarlet in danger. They will have to figure out a way to resolve the case and find their happily ever after.
It was pretty good story and steamy.
I would give 3 1/2 stars.
Thanks to netgalley and St. Martin's for ARC in exchange for honest review.

This was is my second book by Calista Fox and will probably be my last. I reviewed another novel of hers and once I finally got through it, it wasn't so bad; it just dragged on with the scenes a bit too much for me. I decided id read this book in hopes that it'd be different and I hate to say it was not. The book was a bit boring and dragged on to much; its like "just get to the point".

Scarlett is an Insurance Fraud Investigator. She’s trying to find out what happened to the missing paintings. She interviews Michael and believes him but is very much attracted to him.

She then finds out he has a stepbrother Sam and goes to meet him and the attraction is their with him too.

Little does she know that Michael and Sam have shared a woman before and she would love for it to be her.

Can a ménage work between two brothers with her trying to find out who stole the paintings? Who stole the paintings? Will it make a difference in the love affair?

This was a decent read. I've read books from this author before, so I knew the sex with be at the forefront (as they usually are with ANY menage books). There were things that I could nitpick about (like the insta love) but again, if I was looking for books that focus on romance and feelings, then I wouldn't be reading this kind of book. I recommend it to anyone that likes menage books.

This installment was pretty much exactly the same as the previous installments. I have enjoyed Scarlet's character from the moment she was introduced, and I loved her in this one. Michael and Sam were interesting, I liked them, but were just the same as almost every other alpha male in love with a girl. It was a pretty quick read, predictable, enjoyable, but didn't impress me. It didn't seem to get me out of my romance book slump either.

Calista Fox is my go-to author for all things entertaining, hot and threesomes. I always enjoy her books and recommend them to my reader friends who are as open minded as myself. Of all the titles I've read by this author to date, she has yet to disappoint. Her writing flows and her stories always have that element of suspense to them that, as a reader, I can't help but appreciate. Very much looking forward to reading her work in the future.

I found this story really hard to get into. It wasn't bad one I made it through the first third but it wasn't great either.

As many people mentioned here, I was not aware that this was not the first book in the series. Was I supposed to know these characters before reading the book? It all seemed a bit rushed and confusing. Did not catch my attention enough in order to finish it. I'll give 3 stars since I haven't read the other books and have not enough background to judge.

I was grateful to receive a free copy of The Billionaires: The Stepbrothers, in exchange for an honest review.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It had good theme development, and the characters were well developed. The author did a great job introducing the the menage, and the scenes were well done.

Overall, great book. I look forward to reading more of Calista Fox.

The Billionaires: The Stepbrothers is a hot MFM ménage romance.

When Scarlet Drake, insurance fraud investigator extraordinaire is continually blown off by Michael Vandenberg while she's investigating a cold case involving $M+ art theft, she determines that showing up where he's lunching just might get her the face to face meeting she needs. She never dreamed that the man dubbed The Wolf of Wall Street would have such an affect on her body and heart! Thank God she quickly figures out that he's not a true suspect in her case, because she has a hot romp with the man, and quickly puts her dry spell to rest.

When her case leads her to a meeting with Michael's equally sexy stepbrother, Sam Reed, and she's just as attracted to the gorgeous cowboy, her body's in heaven. Knowing the two stepbrothers have a penchant for sharing women is soon leading Scarlet's mind in dangerous directions. Just as dangerous as her case, which Sam and Michael's family is heavily mired in. Can Scarlet work her case AND have a relationship with both the men she's falling in love with? Or will her discoveries regarding the theft and the men's family be too much of an obstacle for the trio?

I've really liked this Lover's Triangle series of ménage romances. Scarlet, Sam and Michael are as equally hot and passionate as the two other threesomes in this series (The Billionaires and The Billionaires: The Bosses). I'm hoping for more of this series, because Calista Fox knows her way around a good triad relationship, where the physical and emotional aspects are equally important, with neither overwhelming the other.

Scarlet is not anything like any insurance fraud woman Ive ever heard of.

The story was a little off the wall especaiily being Every One of Scarletts friends are in relationships with more than one men. Ive read menages and I usually like them, I thought this one was good, the first step brother was a kind ok lets do this and then went on even if they had to talk to each other afterwards about the missing artwork that mysteriously went missing from his dads wedding a few months after his mom died.

Then she travels to meet the stepbrother that had come to live with them "his new brother" and they fact that she happens upon him and he lets her in because she is kind of stupid about the snow storm but likes the puppy he has saved.

So Scarlett is with both brothers but finds out they have shared women but not in a long time, but they really want to share her and they do and then they figure out about the artwork and boom that its it.

I loved it! This read was everything I wanted it to be but even more than that! The characters pull you in and the story keeps you there

I started reading thinking I was getting myself into a great, sexy love story but instead got confused right off the bat. I had no idea this wasn't a standalone so when I started reading I was perplexed as to why the author started off the story in such a way. But now I understand. I truly tried to finish reading, to try and get into it more but it just fell flat for me....especially with the speedy jump into bed scene. It just wasn't to my taste. I did not finish this one.

As a note, an e-galley of this novel was sent to me via NetGalley by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not effect my opinions in any way.

As a new reader of this particular author, I wasn't certain of what to expect from Calista Fox's third (standalone) installment of Lover's Triangle, The Billionaires: The Stepbrothers. I've been on a bit of a romantic kick since the end of 2017, thus making it my mission to explore the many (steamy) options out there. Calista Fox has created quite a name for herself out there in the genre and this was the perfect introduction to her as a new reader.

Although there were many elements of the story that I found less-than appealing to my personal preference, I will say one thing as clearly as possible: The Billionaires: The Stepbrothers was quite the sexy, entertaining romp that I needed to kick myself from a reading slump. It was not your typical erotic romance, instead, it toyed with many genres in between the steamy sexual tension and swoon worthy romance. Primarily, there was a bit of mystery involved in the story of Scarlet, Michael and Sam. And it proves how different matters of the heart can be when developed properly.

Fox captivates her audience with various twists and turns, tossing in just the right amount of tension and more. There's many moments and interactions between Scarlet and the two love interests that leave readers feeling electrified and compelled to read on. You never quite know what to expect from any of the characters--a nice change of pace from what could be an overwhelming amount of over-used tropes.

There are very few romances that tackle a shared romance of three in a way that is intriguing and at least slightly realistic. The Billionaires: The Stepbrothers is that mix of fantasy and reality that will surely leave any romantic flustered, satisfied and attached. Further, the characters each have their own backstory and personality that stands apart from many others in the genre.

(Which, when considering Calista Fox's contemporaries and their knack for overused archetypes and lackluster characters, is something that has to be noted and applauded.)

The most important thing to take in account when reading this book is to remember that it is fiction and purely indulgent. This won't be for everyone but fans of the genre will devour this love story in a heartbeat. Although it has its flaws, the novel itself was exactly the sort of fun I'd been looking for.

Addictive, purely fun and fulfilling, The Billionaires: The Stepbrothers is a worthy addition to any romantic's shelves.

Unfortunately, the characters and storyline didn't really keep my attention. Had I known that it was the third book in series, I wouldn't have requested it. I don't like picking up in the middle of something. I cannot really review this book fairly, as it I didn't finish it.

After reading the Billionaires: the Bosses I knew I had to read the Stepbrothers which is an oh so good taboo romance filled with twist and turns keeping you glued and flipping through the pages. Calista Fox is definitely becoming one of my fave authors in the Billionaire Romance genre.
