An intriguing installment to the series. When Scarlet sets her mind to solving a mystery for her clients she usually closes the case, by any means. When faced with the elusive billionaire Michael Vandenburg she's not certain she'll be able to take the same road. Instant attraction times two throws Scarlet for a loop when she meets Michael's equally intriguing stepbrother Sam Reed. While these brothers couldn't be more different, they each ignite Scarlet. But she still has to focus on the case which creates friction since she's attempting to locate stolen art from the Vandenberg home. This careful balance of super steamy and sleuth creates a fast paced read.

This is the third installment of The Billionaires series. This is the story about Scarlet Drake, Michael Vandenberg, and Sam Reed. Scarlet is an insurance fraud investigator assigned to a case to see if a claim by Michael and Sam's parents of stolen artwork was legit. During the investigation, Scarlet falls in love with the two stepbrothers. Throughout the book, she has to figure what is most important her, her career or her relationships with those men.

I got disinterested around 1% of the book due to the fact that sex was placed at the forefront. There was no connection made between the characters. The story had barely begun. At 17% I had no idea where else the story could have gone. It seemed like the author wanted to focus more on the sex than the actual plot. Writing 3-4 chapters of a sex scene and a half a chapter worth of a plot does not constitute a storyline. The storyline really did not pick up until 75% into the book. At one point I had no idea the direction of the book. There were tangents that not convincing to this reader that there was a direction, such as, finding out the identity of Sam's father and that Sam had a twin brother, that did not add anything to the story.

Scarlet could have been a good, strong character but the author wrote her off as insecure and needy most of the book. She was a professional that had a great job. She seemed rooted in the fact that she was the best at what she did. However, the author made her look like a whore in her personal (romantic) life. She needed to have what her two friends had, a ménage relationship of her own. She had low self-esteem. She was not satisfied with her own accomplishments. "Everything she'd longed for as her best friends were hooking up with amazingly satisfying men and all Scarlet had was her work". This was sad to me. Scarlet's main objective in this book was to basically eliminate Michael and Sam as suspects in the fraud so she could continue to sleep with them.

I did not feel the connection between these characters at all. The reader does not learn too many things about the male characters. They like the same women and would rather enjoy them together. The author was trying to force the issue that there was more between the characters than a sexual attraction. At 58% into the book, this was not firmly established to my satisfaction. Everything around these three characters' relationship revolved around sex. That was the foundation the book was established on the first few pages and throughout when the characters met. Michael's bad boy image appealed to Scarlet's adventurous side and Sam's sensitivity appealed to Scarlet's sensual side. There were these brief conversations that the author placed in the book to make the characters seem as though they were so comfortable with each other to tell secrets they have never told anyone else, even though they have only known each for like an hour. If death of the people most important to them gives them a deep connection (Sam's wife died, Scarlet's parents dies, and Michael's mother died) then these characters have a connection deeper than a chasm. I had to wonder if Scarlet liked one man more than the other. She claimed that she loved them both the same equally. But it seemed as though she had something with Sam more than she did with Michael. With no real connection, the sex scenes fell flat for me. There was no real emotion emitting from the pages

There was nothing redeeming about this book, in my opinion. A weak female character that cannot make up her mind. She also feels like she has to basically sleep around with two men to have what her friends have. There were real connections between the characters and the readers. There was no development of a plot. Just a thumbs down for me all around.

I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review. Scarlett, a fraud investigator, meets two men (Sam & Michael) who are stepbrothers, and becomes sexually attracted to both men. The investigation into an art theft brings them together but secrets uncovered could tear them apart but in the end they are still together. The book is well written and the sexual encounters are very graphic and erotic. Thoroughly enjoyed the book and would highly recommend it.

I have not read the previous two books in this series but they were not necessary to read this one. This was my first book by this author and I enjoyed it enough that I would read her work again. The characters were likeable and the plot interesting. I think maybe I needed more in the end. But all in all, if mystery and menage are your thing I'd give this a book a shot.

The Billionaires: The Stepbrothers (Lover's Triangle, #3) by Calista Fox ...This is the 3rd book in the series and I have enjoyed them all...I received a copy from NetGalley for an honest review. This is Scarlet, Michael and Sam's story... She is investigating the theft of art from Michael and Sam's (they are stepbrothers) family home. There is Chemistry, mystery, some danger and lot of heat...this book can be read as part of the series but it also works as a standalone....and of course there is a HEA.

This book didn't work all the way for me, I liked the sex scenes and the suspense element but everything else was a miss for me. Some of the word choices and there positions in sentences is what ultimately killed this book for me.

This was the first book I have read by Calista Fox and she did not disappoint. Scarlet is an insurance investigator who has her work cut out for her when she meets Michael and Sam. They are stepbrothers who she must investigate along with their parents. Along the way, there are many twists and turns including a few steamy nights between all of them. This is definitely a book worth reading.

Scarlet is investigating an art theft from years ago where she meets stepbrothers Micheal who is all business tycoon and Sam who all about his Montana ranch. She is attract to both but wants to fulfill her duty to her company.

Wrote in traditional Fox style with high heat and great chemistry between the three people. Along with a well though out mystery that unravels slowly.

The Billionaires: The Stepbrothers is #3 in the Lover's Triangle series by Calista Fox. I did not feel I was missing any pertinent information beginning with book three. This book would appeal to those who enjoy a modern romance with a ménage à trois focus.

Scarlet is investigating a cold case involving a missing art collection of great value. During her investigation, Scarlet must question the stepbrothers, Michael and Sam. Scarlet is immediately enamored with both men when they meet individually, and soon she learns they have an affinity for enjoying their women together. Scarlet must decide how to handle her growing attraction to the stepbrothers while staying impartial during her investigation.

The good: Michael and Sam are both appealing for different reasons. Michael is spontaneous and a little aggressive, Sam is sweet and a bit tender. The characters had intelligence, indicating they did not exist solely for sake of the cliché. The chemistry between the couples did not feel forced and was quite sexy. There was a decent plot with a twist I did not predict right away. I appreciate the attempt to tell a story amidst the romantic fantasy.

The bad: The story fell a bit flat for me. It mimicked what I get out of watching a crime of the week television show. I felt the emotions where appropriate, intrigue with the art heist, desire for the men, sympathy for the loss the characters experienced, tension when new clues come to light, but now that it's over the story will fade and be forgotten. Perhaps I needed more quality time with the characters as a unit to feel more connected to them. Leaving the story as is, that connection just isn't there.

Despite its faults, this story was not bad. It was engaging and entertaining. If one is looking for a quick and easy read with some sensuality, this book will deliver that. All my opinions are my own and may not match that of others. I urge all readers to come to their own conclusions. I voluntarily received an ARC copy of this book through NetGalley.

Having read The Billionaires: The Bosses recently I was dying to dive into this one.
Scarlet is investigating an insurance fraud relating to the theft of some very expensive art. She needs to question members of the family, just to rule out their involvement.
She makes an appointment with Michael, who has been avoiding her phone calls.
Scarlet hasn’t been involved with anyone for a couple of years, so she is surprised when she feels a spark ignite within her.
She needs to interview Sam too, he’s Michaels’s stepbrother. Sam’s had tragedy in his life and his feelings have been turned off for a long time…..until he meets Scarlet. He feels a spark and Scarlet feels it too. She can’t believe after all these years she has feelings for two men.
Scarlet gets much more than she imagined when both handsome men make her temperature soar…and offer her the guiltiest of all pleasures—themselves.
This story is highly addictive and very sexy!
I usually read chick-lit and crime drama but I do love this kind of book.
I thoroughly recommend it. It has a really good storyline and isn’t just about the sex…of which there is some hot stuff!
Thanks to St. Martin's Griffin and NetGalley for my review copy in exchange for an honest review.
Will blog review closer to publication day.

5 Star review
Received ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

I’ve read a few of Calista Fox “ménage” stories & this one is a favorite. Loved all three main characters - Michael & Sam are stepbrothers & Scarlett is an insurance investigator sent to solve an art theft involving their family before the statute of limitations for prosecuting the crime occurs.

There are a lot of twists & turns in the story - not one I expected ...

Scarlett is a very strong independent women - successful at her job but basically a loner - no relationships - no giving her heart away to love.

Sam has had his heart broken losing his fiancé & unborn son in a terrible car accident. His relationships afterwards have mostly been no strings attached physical relationships. Not letting anyone ever get close ...

Michael is the more dominent of the two brothers - again never having long term relationships. Scarlett tracks him down first for questioning & the sparks start flying immediately .,,

I was intregued by the story & the crime as well as the relationship between the 3 characaters ! Ends in a HEA ❤️

Lovers Triangle series by Calista Fox brings up the heat when it comes to ménage relationships. I have been reading this series and was excited to dive into this book!

Scarlet is perfect as the heroine of this book. She is strong and independent just like the other woman in the previous books of this series. She has a big job to finish, but gets captured by two hot stepbrothers, Michael and Sam. Physically she comes and goes as she pleases, but her heart strings tug towards these men. Before she knows it she is tangled with the two and is trying so hard to read in between the blurred lines.

I enjoyed reading The Billionaires: The Stepbrothers and knew you would get nothing but yummy sexy times and hot as hell romance. But are the two stepbrothers in it for love? Or are they using the lust to keep Scarlet away from the truth? A little drama in the mix makes it the perfect chemistry with these books! Believe me, you want to read this book!

Great story! Wish the author could have extended the ending, but it all worked out in the end. Highly recommend reading the book. :)

Scarlet has here eyes set on Michael to proof he stole a prized art collection. Michael’s sex appeal is throwing Scarlet into a tangled mess with Michael’s stepbrother Sam. Both are different but equally handsome and both want Scarlet. She never dreamed of having a ménage, especially not with these two. Often, the hear wants something else and so their romance begins in the middle of her investigation.
A great book, chemistry is off the charts. Enjoy!

Scarlet Drake is an insurance fraud investigator on the hunt for a missing art collection. Everyone is a suspect including the victims’ sons.

Michael Vandenburg, known as the Wolf of Wall Street in business circles, he has no time to deal with the fraud investigator stalking him for an interview. However, she leaves him little choice and once he meets Scarlet he’s intrigued and eager to learn more about her.

Sam Reed left the high society world his family resides in after a devastating heartbreak. He now lives in Montana working with horses. When Scarlet crashes into his life with questions about his mother’s missing art Sam is caught off guard by his desire for her.

A powerful connection forms immediately between Michael, Scarlet and Sam but can they figure out a way to make the connection last when they live thousands of miles apart? Oh and there’s still that little fact that Scarlet is on the hunt for the missing art collection and someone out there will stop at nothing to make sure she doesn’t find the culprit.

The Billionaires: The Stepbrothers is a feast of erotic proportion with the emotion to match.

The connection between Scarlet and Michael and then Scarlet and Sam are swift and magnetic. While the sex was great as it usually is in Ms. Fox’s writing I really enjoyed the mystery surrounding the missing artwork and the depth of emotion in Sam’s personal history. Sam’s story yanks on the heartstrings! I love him!

I love the fact that Scarlet doesn’t let her feelings change how she does her job. She’s persistent even when she may hurt herself in the long run. Scarlet’s job is intriguing and brings thrilling suspense to the story. The Billionaires: Stepbrothers is an excellent addition to the Lover’s Triangle series!

The story is good and the characters are strong and charismatic. I do think there could have been a little more with Sam’s family (don’t want to give too much away). I also would have liked to have known more of the outcome of Scarlet solving her case. What ended up being the consequences?

This one was okay. I read the others in the series, and this one is probably the least angst driven. There is a blackmailing subplot that kind of feels like it was shoehorned in, but it's okay.
