Callie has come to Keepsake Cove, on the Maryland Eastern shore, to visit and reunite with her Aunt Melodie. Unfortunately, she finds her aunt dead on the floor of her music box shop, the morning after she arrives. An accident is the verdict, but Callie's not so sure. What would cause her healthy, happy, middle aged, aunt to visit her shop in the dead of night and fall dead for no apparent reason. The police and Melodie's lawyer are convinced it was an accident, but friends agree with Callie something is amiss. As the beneficiary of Melodie's entire estate, Callie attempts to settle in and solve the mystery of her Aunt's death. Love the taste of mystique regarding the special music box and the hints of psysic intuition among Callie's friends. This is a really good debut cozy. Looking forward to next in series. Thanks to NetGalley and publisher for an advanced reading copy. This one's a winner.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in return for an honest review. I enjoyed my visit to Keepsake Cove, and look forward to going back in the future. Callie starts out by planning on visiting her Aunt Melodie at her aunt's music box shop during a turbulent time in Callie's life, but her aunt dies. The death is ruled accidental, and Callie inherits all of her aunt's belongings.

Callie quickly makes herself at home, but has questions about her aunt's death. We meet most of the other shop owners, and Callie becomes especially close to several of them.

The story is good, well written, and manages to keep you guessing.

The cover is great! I love the cute town within the town. It makes me want to visit. The story gave me a great sense of belonging. I enjoyed the relationships changing and growing- it made me care about the characters more (even the grumpy ones.) The writting is good and the mystery is solved. Good read!

Keepsake Cove, on Maryland’s shore, lives up to its name, with a number of curio and antique shops. Callie Reed has stopped by to visit her aunt Melodie, but the two have barely started to get reacquainted when Melodie is found dead inside her music box shop. Was the death an accident or something more sinister? Local authorities are going with the accident theory, but Callie doesn’t buy it and she begins to get signs from her aunt from beyond the grave. This is a fun cozy read with a delightful setting and quirky, but likable characters

Visiting a small town like Keepsake Cove sounds wonderful. It would be so much fun to visit all the shops, then stop into the Keepsake Cafe for a veggie sandwich.
Callie Reed is a fun loving character who I look forward to getting to know.
After deciding to visit her Aunt Melody, Callie is looking forward to visiting her shop, House of Melodies in charming Keepsake Cove.
For Callie, the visit is short lived as she stumbles upon her aunt's body.
Aunt Mel's death is ruled an accident and even though she questions this ruling, Callie doesn't have enough evidence to open the investigation.

Staying in Keepsake Cove seems like a smart move, however, once odd things begin to happen, Callie wonders if she made the right choice.

This book was very good for a first in a new series. The author wrote a smooth story and the plot flowed smoothly, keeping me interested from the very first line.
I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
I voluntarily read an ARC of this book provided by the publisher and NetGalley.
