I had high hopes for this one. I thought it would match really nicely with my dive back into Oola and their use of 'oola blockers' and 'oola accelerators'. Unfortunately, it just didn't read well for me. I didn't find it helpful or compelling.

Sorry for the delayed review. I have been working this year to catch up on my netgalley backlog. I appreciate the opportunity to read this book.

I love the concept of high vibes, and I really hoped this would hit the mark... but it missed. I was not impressed with the writing, path, and general feel of the book. It was not for me.

I received an e-copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I liked the premise of this book but found too many things problematic. First, if an author references multiple studies, they should be cited somewhere in the book. Second, the author claims to have done enough research to qualify for a PhD in nutrition, but I found her information lacking. Raw foods aren't appropriate for everyone, a paleo diet isn't about eating "excessive" amounts of meat, and detoxing isn't appropriate for everyone so contraindications should have been mentioned. The author uses various stories throughout the book that came across as judgmental and occasionally patronizing, which seems to defeat the purpose of raising your vibration. I don't think that was the intention, but inclusive, inviting language is important for a book on this topic.

Some of the author's recommendations are solid (meditation, exercise, proper hydration, sleep), but likely won't be new information to readers.

I really enjoyed this book especially the first half. Being able to create, use, and conserve our energy levels is so important so this book is relevant to everyone. I enjoyed the authors chatty style and personal stories and anecdotes. I would like to incorporate some of the things into my life but not all of them (not yet anyway!). Some of the food and lifestyle advice was out of my comfort zone at this stage but who knows in the future. Overall a great read with links to some good resources - thank you
