This is a well-done very beginning reader. It's got some basic sight words, but it tosses in "soccer" as well. It's a good way to learn an extra word painlessly.

Liked the book and illistrations. Fun to read with kids and learn about soccer. Would recommend this book.

I asked for the book because of mu husband, he loves soccer. This books helps young children to get an idea about what is soccer all about. I still think that it is more interesting to play than to read about it.

As always, good to have a title that explains it all. According to the blurb, “This book features less than 50 words and uses repetition to build confidence.” I’m not sold on that technique; I think it’s more likely to inspire boredom.
And indeed it’s incredibly simplistic, which should make it good for about three-year-olds. The rhyming was nice.

This book has some lovely bright, clear images that really help to tell the story.
Its an ideal book to start of younger ones learning some words, which a sport that they love.
4 stars from me for this one.

This book is a great beginning reader. It has very cute illustrations and great repetitive rhythm for beginning readers.

A very simple beginning reader about playing soccer. So much better than the old Dick and Jane books.

Very cute and with an easy message but ultimately the characters were too stock and the plot was nonexistent.

This is a cute beginning to read story. It is made up of 18 words that have a lot of repetition. The illustrations are large, colourful and inviting. I read this to my grandson who is three and he liked it. This would be a great book for a grade one classroom where the children are learning. This would also help to develop confidence in those who are a little farther along in their reading ability. I recommend this book for family and primary class libraries.
