We all know kids love poop and fart jokes, but did you know that young children's attraction to "potty humor" is actually a sign of healthy development? No, seriously - I work in family preservation and this is part of the curriculum I have to teach parents when going over child development! This is a collection of illustrated "gross humor" jokes that little kids will love to laugh at. Most were ones I've heard before. It's not a super impressive book, and probably not the end-all-be-all of bodily function humor, but it gets the stinky job done.

Note: I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley. I was not compensated in any other fashion for the review and the opinions reflected below are entirely my own. Special thanks to the publisher and author for providing the copy.

Children thought it was super funny but a little gross which I guess is the point of gross jokes this book is not for all children only the ones that enjoy the kid of gross jokes involved. One daughter enjoyed it but the other not so much the youngest could not get over all of the gross jokes involved although some were pretty funny

Fun and gross jokes with nice illustrations. Some jokes are play on the words.

My 3 and 6 year old thought this book was great. I also found it clever and funny.

Can you guess where this book is going from the title? If not, it’s probably for you.
Around 30 jokes featuring all sorts of bodily functions, with skeletons, snowmen, poor dumb toads, beans, the Queen, and more. Yes, they’re juvenile, but that’s the point, though I will give an extra “Yuck!” to the punchline about what’s worse than finding a worm in an apple.
I like that the author is a woman who knows exactly what she did here, as evidenced by the last page. Some of these would probably get chuckles from some teenagers, but if your husband laughs. . . you have my sympathy.
3.5 pushed up to 4/5

My 8 year old chuckled at these jokes. I scrolled through and some were quite funny but others not so but I'm sure this will appeal to many kids

Fun and gross jokes that are sure to have kids laughing and parents rolling their eyes. My favorite: what do you get when the queen farts? A nobel gas. haha..:)

This is a fun (if not slightly revolting!) book of jokes suitable for young children. I am sure not all parents will be happy with the contents of this book (jokes about farts, burping, snot, etc), and several of the jokes are a play on words which will go straight over the heads of young readers. However, if you've got young ones into telling jokes then I'm sure this book will suit.

I did find the colour scheme a little dull, but was pleased to see nice bold text which stood out well on the background colours.

This is a perfect book for your very young kid, and I'll tell you why. When my daughter was in kindergarten she wanted to tell me jokes, but she couldn't. She couldn't think of any that were actually funny. So I found a book, similar to this, and picked two jokes for her to learn, so that she could tell them when she wanted to tell a joke. I don't remember the first joke, but the second book was "What do cats read?" "The Mewspaper".

Yes, that is the level of the jokes in this book, all centered around snot, which is the perfect age bracket for these jokes, and perfect for kids to laugh at, and as the author says, read out loud to your parents at least twice.

"What color is a burp?" "Burple ".

Happy reading

Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review

After raising three children I can sadly attest to the fact that children between the ages of 5 to 12, okay, sometimes 95, truly love gross jokes about farts and snot and puking and silly stuff like that. The illustrations were blessedly not tooooo detailed. As Ponnay says, we can only hope the child into whose hands this book falls will only read it out loud to us once and thereafter keeps their tittering laughter to themselves.

This was a very simple joke book geared to kids age 6 to 9 or so. The jokes are all just a little gross which elementary age kids will absolutely love. There were a couple that just did not seem to fit with the others and a few that kids might not understand but overall, a fun read with simple, gross illustrations to match the book. I can see some of these jokes being told over and over. A cute book for primary classrooms and school libraries.
