Price and Kate are a perfect couple with the perfect marriage, totally in love with each other. When Price’s plane goes down, Kate can’t recover from finding herself alone in the world. When her sister-in-law talks her into going away to an island for three weeks, she learns her husband didn’t die. Reunited they set out to stop those who wants him dead. I loved the premise of the book, however, felt the story felt flat until the end.

Fun story, great beach read, but be aware that there is explicit sex, so make sure the littles can't see what you're reading! It's nice to read an explicit novel that actually has an interesting plot!

Thank you to Netgalley and Waterhouse Press for providing me with a copy of this book. After reading the synopsis of this story I was very intrigued and was looking forward to reading about Price and Kate.
This book was just okay...nothing unique or interesting. In fact the story and characters were flat. I mean issues were never dealt with as Price and Kate were more interested in their sex lives than actually solving any problems between them. It just seemed silly and unbelievable at times.

Misadventure is an understatement, as well as Good Wife!

I couldn't resist diving into a book co-written by two awesome authors. My curiosity was peaked at the possibilities. As I already knew it would be, it was extremely steamy. But what I wasn't expecting was the level of suspense achieved in such a short story. I didn't think there would be enough book to tell that much story, or to touch my emotions. But I was wrong. The authors packed a punch that had me spellbound from beginning to end. And when it was over, I was satisfied, but ready for more. I hope that this dynamic duo decides to partner again, they made magic together.

The mystery and suspense in this story kept me on the edge of my seat. The details were revealed slowly, keeping me hungry for the next, and the next. I felt bad for the suffering that Kate had to endure only to discover that a year of her life had stolen from her. I'm not sure how I would have handled what she had to go through. She's a strong woman, who proved it even more so later. But one thing I was sure of is the connection between Price & Kate. It was intense and passionate. Of course I was hoping that she would decide to disappear with him so I'd get my HEA. But at the same time, I wanted her to make him work for it after he put her through hell.

This was my first read of the Misadventure series and I loved it. I can't wait to see what comes next. The line forms here...

Really Hot, fast paced quick read. Price and Kate's chemistry was off the charts, I wouldn't have minded a bit more of their background story but the story worked fine as it is.

Please note: I received MISADVENTURES OF A GOOD WIFE on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to the publisher and authors.

I love a second chance romance and MISADVENTURES OF A GOOD WIFE knocks it out of the park! The chemistry between Price and Kate is hella-hot **fans herself**! What I enjoyed most about this particular book in the MISADVENTURES series is that it's not just erotic romance with a few lines tossed here and there to create a semblance of a story. There's a great love story in the romance novel that keeps me turning the pages due to the awesome writing talent and collaboration. Losing a loved one can tear your heart out, and the authors do a tremendous job with putting mine through the wringer with Price and Kate. This story is not a long, in-depth read; it's a wicked page-turner so be prepared to devote a couple of hours until you finish it. You'll be hooked. :) Can't wait to read the next one!

Misadventures of a good wife is the story of Kate and Price , the book begins with them having sex, Price is then killed in a plane crash, a year later whilst on a break away on an isolated island with Price's sister Kate sees Price walking towards her on the beach, lots of questions have to be answered but first lots of sex, some explanation later..more sex, back to New York..more sex. The back story is ok but there was no depth, too many unanswered questions and I get that this is an erotic romance and there are going to be sex scenes but for the love of god we still need a story! I just felt that was totally skimmed over, could have been so much better.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for opportunity to review this book honestly.

Meredith Wild and Helen Hardt are two of the best authors out there and I was looking forward to reading the second book in the Misadventures series after enjoying the first book so much (all books in this series stand alone). While I enjoyed this book quite a bit, it took me a very long time to really get into it and to connect with the characters. I'm not totally certain why that was and I know sometimes you just don't totally connect. There was definitely no lack of heat in this book between the characters though; that's for sure!

Kate and Price Lewis were the quintessential couple who seemed to have it all, until one day when Price went on a business trip and the next thing Kate knew she was planning his funeral. After a year of mourning and just going through her life in a fog, Kate's sister-in-law suggests that they take a trip to a tropical island in the South Pacific. Kate figures a change of scenery can't hurt, so she agrees. While Kate is expecting beautiful scenery, clear blue waters and lots of beach time, the last thing she was expecting was to see that her husband was still very much alive.

While Kate was thrilled to see Price, she undoubtedly had a bushel-full of questions for him. While their physical connection was still as strong as ever, it became obvious pretty quickly that Price was only sharing bits and pieces of what really happened in the year he was gone. Kate was slowly losing patience with his half-truths and until it becomes apparent that they might be in imminent danger, Price still holds out on her. Will these two be able to have any sort of stable relationship again or will they be running and looking over their shoulders for the rest of their lives?

I enjoyed this book and ultimately was hooked by how it played out. I also enjoyed Chelle, Price's sister, and would have loved to have known what ultimately happened with her as well. Another good addition to this series of books. I'm looking forward to the next one in the series!

This level of passion is insane between two people who have been married for a while. I just couldn't buy into any of it after they meet again. Thankfully it was a quick read.

I really liked this story. Good overall writing. Uniquely written plot.

Widow finds out her dead husband is alive one year after his death, right when she is ready to start moving on. He promises he'll tell her what happened, eventually, and she needs to trust him. They bang out their issues, literally.

A fine short story of mostly sex and light on plot. Would be fine for an eBook lending library as the authors have name recognition.

Misadventures of a Good Wife is the second book in the Misadventure series. I enjoyed this story although I did feel the story lost to the passion at time however not enough not to make it one hot steamy nights read. I liked Kate’s fire and Price’s determination and when they connected the passion flew from the pages. I really look forward to reading more of this series.

Kate has been living in a bubble for a year ever since her beloved husband, Price, died in a plane crash. When her sister in law drags her on a trip she finds out Price is not dead. Such an exciting book! I did not put this book down until I finished the last page!

Price and Kate had the perfect marriage. Their love was effortless and knew no bounds, that was until he dies in a plane crash. Miserable for an entire year after his death, Kate finds herself on a remote island vacationing with Price's sister, when a man walks toward her on the beach. It is Price, and he has been hiding out from the men who tried to kill him, faking his own death. The couple are reunited and the passion explodes. But when they try to stay hidden the story takes you on a wild ride of hit men, FBI agents and even more lies and deception. This story had great (mis)adventures with more twists and turns than a rollercoaster. The characters love could be felt in their words and in the hit sex scenes. This is another great story in the series.

Kate Price has been living an empty life after her husband, Price, is killed whilst working abroad. She is struggling to get through each day and only travels to a secluded Caribbean island for a break after being dragged there by her sister in law. This is where her world is turned upside down again when she discovers Price has been in hiding for a year. Their emotional reunion is the start of a rollercoaster ride, keeping us wondering what will happen next?

This was a short read that had a good premise. Although at times I have to admit that it seemed as though Kate was a bit too forgiving about the fact that Price was so secretive while he is asking her to give up her life just to be with him. I would want details, certainly more information than Kate was getting! Overall this was an enjoyable read with lots of steamy scenes from some new to me authors. Perhaps more steamy scenes than actual story at times.

My rating scale:
5 stars - I loved this book and it brought out true emotion in me (laughter, anger, a good cry, etc.)
4 stars - I loved this book.
3 stars - I liked this book.
2 stars - I didn't really care for this book.
1 star - I did not like this book at all and probably did not finish it.

I received an early copy of this book in return for my honest review.

I am giving this 2 stars because honestly, it was a complete struggle to finish reading it.

First, it took forever to know why Price had been gone. I literally think I was almost, if not half way, through the book when we finally got an answer. I feel like the first half of the book was full of strained conversations and sex at every turn and that was it. This theme continued through the book, but we did finally start getting to the point of the story. Once we did though, I feel like it was all very rushed.

On top of that, it seemed like every time Price spoke to Kate he was calling her baby or babe. I know it wasn't every sentence, but it sure seemed like it. Baby and or babe are listed 57 times in the book. I just don't know anyone, who in real conversation, calls their loved one that so often.

Rarely do I rate a book so low and of course, this is my personal opinion. I think the story had a lot of potential, but was drug out with a bad flow of strained conversation.

Kate thought she lost her husband Price a year ago, but suddenly she sees him again on a tropical island. She wants answers but he wants her to run away with him.

I liked Kate. She's smart, driven, and doesn't like being treated like she is fragile. She loves Price so much and I wish we had been able to see more of their relationship prior to the event of the book.

Price was a frustrating character for me. It is obvious that he loves his wife more than anything, but he seemed to underestimate her a lot.

Overall this wasn't my favorite of the books in the series, but the intrigue and mystery aspects of the story were fun.

This was a pleasant enough read, but there was not really much story, and when the story became interesting it was sorted out far too quickly, without anyone getting seriously hurt. That was a wee bit unrealistic, as was Price and Kate going to live in Bali at the end of the book - they were too young to retire and from the information in the book they didn't really have enough money to retire either, not at their age. They both had jobs previously which required them to live somewhere like New York, and Price no longer had the need to hide away. The sex scenes, while understandable in the context of the story, were rather repetitive, a little less detail and a little more suggestion, leaving more to the imagination of the reader, would have worked better. There were also occasions when the dangers of the situation Price and Kate found themselves in should have meant that sex was the last thing on their minds.

This story was not as well thought out as the first book in the series. Pleasant to read but too unrealistic to be memorable.
