I absolutely love Meredith Wild and love Helen Hardt even more so I was really expecting big things for this book. It really took me awhile to get into the book. I'm trying to pinpoint why but I'm not really sure. There was absolutely plenty of steam to be had in this book right from the get go and that part never abated.

Kate and Price were living a fairy tale love until the day his plane went down. Kate can't seem to let Price go no matter what she does and she soon finds out why. Kate loves Price beyond the grave so what happens when she realizes he is not dead? Kate must find a way to reconcile the fact that all the pain and anguish of Price's death was needlessly caused...or was it? Kate accepted his being alive way more easily than I might have and maybe that is the Good Wife part of her. I suppose I expected way more fireworks from her and maybe that is why I had a difficult time at first. There was plenty of suspense and secrets to keep me going to the end though. I loved Chelle's character and would absolutely have loved to hear more about her, as well as Otis.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series so was left disappointed by this one and struggled to finish it.

I enjoy some hot steamy sex scenes but this book was just over run by the sex. It was also frustrating that Price wouldn't come right out and tell Kate what the trouble was. It wasn't until well after halfway through the book that she actually found out. Then the end just seemed to wrap up so quick. I think there could have been more story and less sex.

This was a short read that had a good premise. Although at times I have to admit that it seemed as though Kate was a bit too forgiving about the fact that Price was so secretive while he is asking her to give up her life just to be with him. I would want details, certainly more information than Kate was getting! Overall this was an enjoyable read with lots of steamy scenes from some new to me authors. Perhaps more steamy scenes than actual story at times.

Kate was struggling with the death of her husband, until he apparently rose from the grave. Price could not stay away from Kate after faking his death even though he did so to protect her. Though difficult, he learns to tell her about the mess he fell into that led to an attempt on his life. The two work together to expose the bad guys. Some parts of this novel seemed a little far-fetched. Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for copy in exchange for an honest review.

I really wanted to enjoy this book because I have enjoyed so many of the author's other books, but it really fell flat. The plot was rushed and many times unbelievable and the ending is just thrown at you so quickly that I was like, Wait, what just happened?! It was hard to like the characters or to find them believable. Believe me, if my husband was dead and I mourned his loss for over a year and then everything was turned on its head, I'd be far less accepting or blithing following the action wherever it went.

I liked the story. The suspense was good. The wife was a little to forgiving though!

I was lucky enough to have also read the first book in the Misadventures series and really enjoyed it. This one sadly fell a little flat for me. The was no shortage of hot steamy scenes between the main characters but the story line was missing. I felt like it was sex scene after sex scene and the actually storyline was over and done in the blink of an eye. Overall it was an good quick steamy well written romance and I still look forward to the other books in the series.

Too much sex and not enough story. It was definitely hot, but I need a good story to go along with it. The premise of the story was awesome, but not well executed. The back and forth about where they going got old quick.

I loved the spy drama, planning and tech work. This is survival mode. Otis and Michelle were a pair. The ending was great.

Kate has the life she has always dreamed of, the perfect job, a perfect apartment in an upscale neighborhood, and a gorgeous loving husband to go along with it... but that all changes in an instant. When the police come knocking on her door to tell her that her husband Price has just died in an tragic accident she is crushed, and her perfect little world comes crashing down around her. She becomes a shell of the woman she once was, neglecting her work, responsibilities at home, and even taking care of herself, so her sister-in-law steps in and offers to take her away from the miserable life she has been living. She books them a vacation at a secluded resort, and while Kate appreciates the gesture she isn't so sure it will help her shake the misery she has been caring around for the last year... but that isn't the only surprise her sister-in-law has for her. Michelle encourages Kate to check out the island and she soon discovers that it has more to offer than she originally thought...there standing before her the husband she has been mourning for the last year... and he is alive and well. She is beyond thrilled to be reunited with him, but then she learns that he has a tough choice for her to make, one that is sure to upend her life all over again!

This was quite the sexy little literary treat, from the moment it started it started off with a heated little bang, and just managed to get hotter with each page I swiped after that! I love second chance romance stories and I have to say this one definitely hit the spot, it was rich with intensity, passion, longing and it gave my heartstrings a nice little tug! If you like steamy romance with a touch of thrilling mystery, this is the perfect read for you!! Highly recommend this one, it's sure to keep you entertained!!

Katie and Price have it all...love..fire...passion! This was a good book and Price is lucky to have Katie. I know she missed her husband. She was grieving. I understand, but to not know all this was going on. The fact that Price waited a year to contact her!!?? I would not have been so forgiving I think! This story was fast paced and I enjoyed it. I really would have liked more on Sven and Alejandro. For being the bad guys I expected a little more " bad" out of them. Well, I enjoyed it. I finished this read in less than a day.

Overall a really good read. Katie is a much better person than I would be, husband's alive for a year- I'd have to kill him.
