Price and Kate had a wild wind love at first sight. After college Price started his job as a day trader and Kate started her job as a copywriter for the New York Tribune. But Kate had barely worked in the last year since Price’s death . price had left her a large insurance settlement and with proper management Kate would never have to work again. Kate felt she no longer had it in her to work. Michelle took Kate on a girl’s trip to a remote island in the South Pacific- Leiloa for three weeks. Kate felt like she had lost everything when she lost Price. Michelle told Kate to take a walk on the beach and watch the sunset she would catch up with her. But then Kate thought she was seeing a ghost …. It was Price. But how could that be she had buried him a year ago. Price knew he could have let Kate move on and forget him. But he knew when he called Michelle he wanted Kate back even if she had fallen for someone else she was his wife. Kate froze and Price pulled Kate to him and she sobbed and the pain in her sobs was so very raw. Price had been living on a boat and he was the one that actually found this rental house, it had to be remote. Price told Kate he couldn’t tell her everything and still keep her safe but he would tell her what he could. Price didn’t have a choice but to fake his death they had tried to kill him and he now needed Kate to go into hiding with him.
I did like this book a lot. I liked the plot and pace. This was a quick good enjoyable read that kept my attention and interest. I didn’t like how Price only told Kate bits and pieces of what happened and why he faked his death and stayed away from her for a year. I also didn’t like how he used sex to distract Kate from the questions she wanted answers for. She had a right to know after all he had put her through hell. I loved the mystery and suspense and danger in this book. But I did feel there was a little too much sex. I loved the twists in the book. I also loved how Kate and Price loved each other and how dedicated they were to each other. I loved the characters and the twists and turns of this book and I recommend

Okay, so there’s really not much I didn’t enjoy about this story. There’s actually not much I haven’t enjoyed about the series itself. I’m on book 5 right now!

This one took me a bit by surprise. Why? I’m not a suspense kinda girl. Normally, if the suspense overshadows the romance in the story, I start to stray and don’t finish. That wasn’t the case. Not only was the suspense captivating as heck, but the sexual chemistry between our leads was OFF THE CHARTS. I mean seriously delicious guys!

Let’s talk about the suspense part for a second … this is twisty and turny and all kinds of wavy LOL I honestly couldn’t wait to read the next page just to find out something new or what the next nooooooooo moment was going to be. And let me just be frank here … the sexual nature of this book is FAN.TASTIC! These two women can write good sex! #TRUTH

If you want more sex than story, this is the book to read. What started out as a great idea, just turned in to a mediocre story. I kept waiting for the plot to pick up, but the characters were too busy having sex. Just disappointing

Was not a huge fan of this book. I found it to be a little hard to believe on a few different levels. The story of Kate and Price who have their happily ever after until a plan crash changes their lives..... because of work that Price in involved with and a year after his death the real story starts to unfold. I did not hate the book, but it was not a favorite. I was so looking forward to this book, as I LOVED the 1st book in this series. But much like bosses, teachers and coaches..... you have to read this and see if it is your taste....

I loved this Misadventure! It has the perfect mix of action, adventure, a bit of suspense, and of course sexy romance. I loved Kate and Price. Kate is so much better than me, I don't know that I would have been able to forgive Price so quickly. I can't wait for the next Misadventure! #MSBB

He's been on the move for the last year and is finally taking a step to let Kate know he's alive ... and see if he can convince her to leave the life they led behind and disappear with him forever!

Interesting read that I'll make you a bit emotional. The first part of the book, I was sad for Kate. See mourned her husband and she felt like she lost her world. As the story goes, the story keeps on getting interesting. Someone from the past will be back and will make things complicated. What I love about this book is that it's full of surprises and the story will make you guess on what will happen next. Both authors did a good job on this book! Loved it!

I loved reading the awesome romance story, second book in the Misadventure series. About a year ago, Kate believed her husband, Pierce, died in a plane crash. Kate can't believe her husband is still alive and wants answers. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read love story.

Misadventures of a Good Wife' by Meredith Wild, Helen Hardt is Book Two in the "Misadventures" series. In this book, we have the story of Kate and Price Lewis. They had the storybook romance and everything was going beautifully until Price died in a plane crash that happened when he went away on a business trip. Kate’s life changed forever and a year later she is like a different woman. She isn’t coping at all … She has never fully accepted the loss. She is slowly pining away for the husband she thought died in a plane crash so her sister in law begs her to take a three week trip to the South Pacific to just try to relax and try to find her way back to the “old Kate”..finally she agreed to go.
When she gets there, she decides to take a walk on this beautiful beach and look at everything when she is set upon by a dead man walking, by a ghost…her dead husband walking towards her. But it cant be, for he is dead…isn’t he? Price Lewis didn’t die in that plane crash but he was supposed to. So he finally decided to arrange to have her come to this little island so he could explain what happened and get her to agree to go into hiding with him..that is, if she doesn’t kill him first.
Their reunion is truly sizzling and steamy..full of sex. That is because before Price’s supposed death, this was a very touchy feely couple and sex was full on tilt for this couple and they went back to what they did have before but that’s not to say Kate wasn’t resentful of how Prince handled matters…she still had tons of questions… who is trying to kill him? What does he know? How is he involved? Kate doesn’t want to spend her life on the run and she wants to go back to New York with her husband at her side so they together can get the bad guys who caused this huge rupture in their marriage and make them pay. This was full of suspense, mystery, angst, passion, and most of all, love. I loved the characters of Price and Kate. They are very interesting and exciting. I loved this novella and hope to see a follow up story about them someday perhaps.

Kate is a strong heroine, and I loved her strength. It wasn't easy what she had to deal with. Price and Kate have a great love that is easily seen. Throughout the book, the reader can see how much they love each other. They make great husband and wife, and their sex life is hot. There are many sex scenes; they had a lot of catching up to do after all. Although, I wished the book didn't spend too much time on Price and Kate reconnecting. Don't get me wrong, I love lots of sexy times, but I felt that in particular case, it slowed the story a bit. Then the last chapters felt slightly rushed. Things were falling into place rather too quickly make me wanting the book to be longer, or shorten other scenes.
Overall, Misadventures of a Good Wife is well written. It's filled with love, lost, a lot of steamy scenes, and mixed with mystery and suspense. It's enjoyable.

I won't rehash the blurb because I do think it does give a great overview of the entire story. I will say this is a quick read. It is super sexy! Lots of twist and turns on the way to Kate and Price's happy ending. I little action and suspense are thrown in to give a nice well-rounded story that should leave readers satisfied.




This is book two in a multi-Author series. I am not sure how the stories hook together as this is the only one I have read so far. I will say that you can totally read this as a stand alone and it not affect your reading pleasure. Both writers wrote well together and if I did not know there were two writers I would not have guessed, seamless writing. I have read both Authors before and enjoyed their work and really enjoyed this collaboration.

4 Secrets Are Revealed Stars!

What a great book this was. I loved Kate and Price and the love they had for each other. Even a year after Price's "death" their connection was still palpable.

Ms. Wild and Ms. Hardt have written a story that had me invested in finding out what was going to happen next. I mean I knew there had to be a reason Price was still alive and living on this tropical island but I wasn't sure I wanted the answer, unlike Kate. She wanted it all out in the open because she couldn't live a secret life. One thing is certain though and that's the heat these two generate. Holy Wowza!! And Price definitely uses that to his advantage!

Overall, this book was a great read, I flew through it and enjoyed every word. The storyline kept me intrigued, there was enough suspense that I was wondering what was going to happen next, the heat level was on high and the love this couple shared was storybook worthy!

It's exciting to read a story like this one with the characters on the run, trying to get a second chance and with a lot of steamy catching up to do, if you know what I mean. A LOT! To be honest I'm not against a lot of sex scenes but I could have done with less. Price and Kate had more pressing maters and those scenes take away from the meat of the story. Still- it is entertaining and it will make you wish you had a dedicated all consuming guy like Price.

I made the mistake of signing up to read 3 of the books in this series without reading one first. Lesson learned. I didn’t like the first one and I don’t like this one. And I’m already dreading the next one.

Price and Kate Lewis have been together for a few years and are still going at it like rabbits. Theirs is supposed to be this intense love that sucks them into the vortex of each other’s being as though they are really only one person. It was all a bit much.

Price’s plane goes down while on a business trip. Kate is drowning in her grief a year later. She just can’t get on with her life. Her sister in law talks her into a 3 week get away overseas. She’s walking along the beach and Price appears. So much sex happens that I started skimming through it. Never a good thing for me.

This is not a romantic suspense. This is erotica with a dash of suspense thrown in to separate sex scenes. And the suspense? Very superficial and underdeveloped. The conflict wraps up rather quickly and then the HEA epilogue. Could have been so much more.

This was ok. I think there is a solid story here but it felt rushed which made it hard to believe. I thought this book actually had too much sex if that's possible. That added to the believable factor. Two people running for their lives but their screwing every other page. The scenes just got repetitive after a while. I feel like if the actual meat of the story had been focused on and developed more it would have been a great read but it just fell flat for me.

Sorry erotica themes are not for me. I like a good solid romance. My apologies. I was mistaken in choosing it but thank you for letting me read it.

The rekindling relationship finds our couple in a constant state of arousal including the need to prove that their love have never wavered in spite of Price’s apparent betrayal. The $ex scenes are numerous, erotic and provocative. My only complaint is the use of a four-letter word that I hesitate to include in any romantic situation or story line. The premise is entertaining; the characters are colorful and determined; the romance is raw and edgy.
