Misadventures of a Good Wife is the second book is the second book in this series but can be read as a standalone.

I really enjoyed the plot line; it was engrossing and held my attention throughout, however, there was just a little too much sex compared to story for me and I have to say I started to skim through the sexy times. Overall, this was an ok quick read.

Meredith Wild and Helen Hardt created quite a splash with Misadventures of a Good Wife. Kate and Price are everything to each other until he leaves on a business trip and doesn't return. Talk about ripping on the heart strings. When Kate's sister-in-law drags her on a island get-away she gets the shock of her life when she sees Price walking her way, but it isn't the happy surprise that it might have been.

An up and down emotional read with lots of hot steamy making up between this couple. I enjoyed this one and was drawn in from start to finish.

Such a fantastic book. I just couldn't put it down and I didn't want to stop reading.

I definitely surprised myself with how I felt about this book because I do love a great romance with steamy, mind-blowing sex, but it almost got to a point where it felt like that was all I was reading…over and over and over and over and…you get the point. I started to speed read through the sex scenes as they were very repetitive. I guess I was looking for more story, especially with this sounding like a suspense/mystery from the blurb. At times I felt like as soon as the actual story was being told, we had to pause again for more sex. (Believe me, I’m shocked by feeling that way!) Then, when we finally get down to the meat of the story and the climax, it almost felt rushed and over way too quickly. This one just fell flat for me. But, I did love the first book and will continue with this series.

With what happened and everything played out, I found myself unsure and a little angry at the hero at first. I really was just not sure about him. This is a second chance romance, with lots of steamy sex, some danger, and a little mystery thrown in. After a few stumbles, they get their HEA finally. This story did not really grow on me. It came together all too quickly for something he died for. The ending just felt too rushed for me. I would have liked to have had more information in the end. Overall,this was just an okay read for me.

Too much sex. Good part of the book didn't start until almost 80% in. Will not recommend.

This second book in the Misadventures series started out with some steamy fun between Kate and Price and then, quickly got serious when Price's plane goes down. It was shortly after that when my issues with the story began. The biggest one for me, and the one I couldn't get past, was Kate's reaction when she first sees Price again. I realize that this is fiction, but it still has to make sense or the story starts to lose the reader. I can understand tears of joy and even some hugs and kisses when Kate realizes that Price is alive, but hot and steamy sexy time before she has any answers was a bit much. In fact, every time this story started to have some tension and build-up on the suspense angle, there was another steamy scene. Don't get me wrong, these two are seriously hot together and I have no problem with a sexy read, but it reached a point that it was one intimate scene after another with a little story thrown in. Sadly, that story could've been quite good on its own, but after page upon page of Kate pulling answers out of Price and then the back and forth about where they would go, it was hard to stay with it. The book does pick up in the last 25% or so, and there's plenty of action there as the tale reaches its conclusion, but the suspense side of this book could've been so much more.

My Review:

Holy scorched sheets Batman, this loving couple was atomically sensual and I had to wonder what kind of vitamins they consumed to have such stamina. This installment of the Misadventures series was first an erotic romance with strong elements of suspense. Keep your fans on high and have plenty of your favorite libations within reach to stave off potential dehydration. The story was intriguing, maddeningly paced, and somewhat frustrating as the husband was not forthcoming with his secrets, although he kept promising to divulge them right after another intense session of knocking the boots. As irritating as it was to be kept on the hook, I couldn’t seem to put my Kindle down, nor could I catch my breath and my office seemed to feel unseasonably warm for some reason… ;)

Two of my favorite authors co-writing a story, I couldn't wait to dive in! These two authors are the ones I automatically one click without even thinking twice about it and of course this was an amazing story that had me hooked within the first couple of pages. This book was the perfect amount of hotness, love, and suspense all wrapped up into one. The love between Price and Kate is the kind of love everyone hopes and wishes for. Perfectly written and I can not wait for the next Misadventures book. One request I do have is for Meredith and Helen to please co-write some more books!!!

I really enjoyed this book - it has a lttle bit of everything, mystery, danger and lots and lots of romance. Its a great second chance romance.

Price and Kate Lewis have a perfect marriage - filled with love and respect. Then Kate's world is turned upside down when Price is killed in a plane crash. Now a year later she is still trying to pick up the pieces finding that concept hard and hard to come by - that is until her sister in law takes her on a vacation that changes her entire life again.

There are some great things in this book - the story between Price and Kate seemed authentic and I truly believed they loved each other. Told from dual POV's we get to see both characters go through a gambit of emotions. Where it did fall short for me is that the story seemed rushed and almost off center at times - there was an opportunity to provide more context to what Price went through and it fell a little short. Other than that I did overall enjoy the story.

Misadventures of a Good Wife wasn’t at all what I expecting it to be in the best possible way. This book was full of hotness, suspense and secrets.

One year ago Kate lost her husband in a plane crash. For one year Kate has just been going through the motions of life, trying heal from losing the love of her life, Price.

Kate’s best friend Michelle who also happens to be Price’s sister talks Kate into taking a much needed vacation to a secluded island. As soon as Kate sets foot on the beach at the ville she swears she’s seeing a ghost when she spots Price walking toward her. This is where things get good. Can you imagine seeing the love of your life who you’ve thought was dead show up out of the blue? That would shock anyone.

So after Kate and Price reunit is it forever or just for her time on the island? I’m not saying. READ the book. Can Price right leading Kate to believe he was dead in order to protect her? READ the book.

So yes if you’re looking for a quick, hot, suspenseful read then this book is right up your alley.

I've been looking forward to this series for a while now, but I am extremely disappointed with this release. For it to be the second book in the series, this does not bode well for the fate of the series!

My biggest complaint was that the plot was CONSTANTLY interrupted by the fact that the main characters had to have sex! It went way beyond the realm of erotic, and veered straight into crazy! It was totally unbelievable to me, just how much they had to have it. The romantic suspense plot was constantly interrupted by this! Because of the constant interruptions, the romantic suspense plot didn't make much sense to me. There wasn't that much detail about the events, or why Price's suspicions were raised. This aspect of the plot felt very forced and thrown together.

I totally believed in Kate's grief, and the love that she and Price shared, but the rest of the plot totally overwhelmed this aspect of the book. I liked the characters to a point, and much preferred Otis and Michelle to the main characters.

Having read these authors before, I know they are capable of doing much better than this! I can honestly say that I won't be purchasing or recommending this book!

Wow, this book was one wild and sexy adventure! Price died a year ago in a plane crash. Since then his wife, Kate, has been barely surviving. When her sister-in-law talks her into taking a trip to a remote island she reluctantly agrees. And then her whole world tilts on its axis again when she sees a familiar figure walking toward her on the beach.

This couple twists the sheets as often and as long as they can pushing this book right into the hot and steamy stratosphere. They are passionate and in love and each of them hurting so much from their year apart. When they finally begin to communicate the secrets that are revealed and the reasoning behind Price’s disappearance are completely understandable. Now they are left with the decision of what steps to take next.

The ending of this book is action packed and I could feel the pressure, fear and paranoia they were dealing with. I love when a book can make my heart race and Good Wife had my pulse pounding throughout the story.

This was my first Misadventures read so I didn't know what to expect. I was so excited when I was offered this book because the synopsis sounded so interesting and mysterious!! And I am sure the story could have been this way but all I know so far is how compatible they are in the bedroom. Holy cow, this story so far has been pretty much sex! Four scenes and I'm only at 21%. Seriously???? Not sure if it is just this story or is that what I should expect from all the misadventures books????

Huge disappointment!!!

This was a short but sexy read. There is a lot of sexy scenes in this book but for me that felt like the only thing that happened in this book. I wanted my heart to root for them. I wanted to feel their frustrations as they tried to sort things out and I didn’t. I felt absolutely nothing. The story seemed to fizzle out and I was sad about that because the blurb made me so excited, it actually sounded like a book I would love so much but it didn’t and I can’t deny I’m sad about that.

Kate and Price were having their happily ever after when Price went on a business trip and his plane went down. A year later Kate still can't get over him. Her sister-in-law Michelle insists that they go on a vacation together to an island in the South Pacific. While Kate is walking on the beach she comes face-to-face with her "dead" husband. Price had to go into hiding after a company he was investigating tried to kill him. But he could not be without Kate, so he decided to try and persuade her to run away with him ... and then the adventure begins.

The sex scenes in this book, and there are a lot of them, are very HOT. Kate and Price's chemistry is off the charts. If you are looking for a quick hot read, then this is the book for you.

A sexy and suspenseful read! Price and Kate seem to have a very normal life until everything changes in the blink of an eye. When two people love each other deeply and completely they can not let it go and move on.
This story covered all the based of love and protect. Price and Kate deal with extraordinary circumstances and luckily everything works out for them. They have their happy ending, their second chance after all!

Kate Lewis lost the love of her life, Price, to a tragic accident. Kate and Price had the "perfect" relationship so Kate didn't know what to do with her life after losing Price. For over a year, Kate just existed, not lived, her life. She went through the motions of going through her day but was a ghost of herself. She even took a leave of absence from the job she loved as a journalist!

Her sister-in-law convinces her to go on a 3 week vacation to a remote island in the South Pacific. Kate only went because her sister-in-law didn't give her much of a choice. Once they arrived at their destination, Kate had the shock of her life when she sees a ghost! Kate sees Price and have the reunion of their lives. However, Kate wants answers from Price of why he pretended he was dead for the last year.

Price is not very forthcoming in giving Kate the answers that she wants and needs. He manipulates her with their love for each other to try avoiding her questions but Kate won't go for it. Price tries to get Kate to agree to run away with him by showing her how much he loves her and just giving her limited information but not all. Kate wants to run away with Price but she is not sure she can leave her entire life behind.

After giving Kate the majority of the information of why he faked his death, Kate convinces Price that they need to get all the accurate information and provide it to the necessary officials to expose his potential killers! In order to do that, they need to go home to New York City!

This is such a wonderful love story about a true and lasting love between Kate and Price. The mystery and secrets that they have to uncover to find out what Price accidentally got himself into by researching a corporation that he felt had very suspicious activities.

Kate and Price's love is so deep and they are willing to do everything they must do in order to have the life that they want, the family they want, and to grow old with each other. The collaboration between Meredith and Helen on this story is just perfect! Thanks for such a wonderful read!

'Misadventures of a Good Wife' by Meredith Wild, Helen Hardt is Book Two in the "Misadventures" series. This is the story of Kate and Price Lewis.
Kate has missed her husband Price for over a year after a plane crash that she thought took his life. When her sister in law talks her into going on a vacation with her she ends up finding Price there. Price informs her that there is danger and that is why he had to play dead. The danger is still there but he can't seem to go on without her and wants her to stay with him.
This was a surprising thriller type story with two people that really loved each other wanting to be together no matter what. Yes, it was also a very hot read.
Their story will keep you going until the end of this book!
