No romance and little suspense.
Didn't enjoy this novel, the plot was spoilt by the constant sex which took away from the suspense. Felt it could have been so much better and I was really disappointed having read the synopsis. Doubt I will read anything more by this author.

Loved this book it was every bit as good as the first book and this one was co authored by Meredith Wild and Helen Hardt!

Kate and Price have had a great marriage and successful careers until the day Price flies overseas, and his plane goes down, there are no survivors.

Kate is destroyed, and for an entire year lives the life of a ghost, and goes nowhere which really concerns Price's sister, Michelle. Michelle gets her to get ready for a 3 week vacation and they are on the plane within 24 hours! After a year of not even working, this is terrifying for Kate but she goes along.

When they arrive they have to take a boat to the island and it is beautiful. Kate is about to get her whole world turned upside down! After burying her husband a year ago and pretty much grieving- with the exception of one assignment overseas, she has been living a half life.

When they get to the island, Michelle and Kate have a glass of champagne and Michelle encourages Kate to go on a walk along the beach. Little did she know she is walking into the shock of her life!

This book was great it had very good dialog, really awesome characters and a lot of sexual angst as well! The book crosses from one side of the world to the other, and the plot thickens from the first chapter to the very end.

This was an amazing read and I could not put it down. There was love, sex, and suspense, three things that make a great book. Price and Kate are great together. I couldn’t wait to unravel what was going on with Price and why he would fake his death and stay away for a year. Would Kate take Price back, what would happen with everyone else in their family. Would they be safe. There is adventure, love and intrigue. I didn’t want to put this book down. Meredith Wild and Helen Hardt have made a great addition to this series of misadventures.

Kate thought her husband died in a plane crash only to find out a year later that he's still alive. Price stayed away for a year to protect Kate but he can't stay away any longer. The question is, will she forgive him and disappear with him, because the threat is still very much real.

I was surprised by this book. From the title I thought this would be a lighter story about a housewife getting into mischief. Instead these two authors brought us a fun thriller. There is a lot of "making up for lost time" sex in this book but I loved that Price couldn't get enough of his wife. You could see how much these two truly loved each other.

I'm looking forward to the next Misadventures book. Who knows what we might get. ARC provided by NetGalley.

A year ago Kate Lewis would have said her life was perfect. She was married to the man of her dreams. They both had great jobs in New York and a cute little apartment. But then her husband went away on a business trip and didn’t come home. Instead she got that dreaded knock on the door informing her that he was never coming home.

Kate didn’t cope well. She is barely hanging on, even after a year. She has never fully accepted the loss. Finally her sister in law convinces her to go on a three week trip to the South Pacific to rejuvenate. But after they arrive and she goes for a walk on the beach, she convinces herself that she must be dreaming. Because her dead husband is walking towards her on the beach.

Price Lewis didn’t have a choice. They tried to kill him but he survived. Now all he had to do was protect his wife and that meant letting everyone think he was dead. But it’s been a year and he is barely surviving. He needs his wife with him, wants her with him more than to breathe. So he arranges for her to come to this tiny remote island so they can reunite and he can hopefully convince her to come with him into hiding.

Kate and Price always had a very passionate sex life and their reunion is no less. Let me tell you, these two did their best to make up for lost time. One thing I didn’t like, though, is that Kate both needed and wanted details, a full explanation as to what happened to her husband. Price kept feeding her small facts but not the whole picture. And he seemed to use the sex as a distraction. I think I would have said, no way buddy, you’re not touching this until you explain what is going on.

Still, though, after a year apart, these two loved each other with an intensity that burned hot. But Kate doesn’t want a life of running and hiding. She wants to go back to New York with her husband at her side, and expose the bad guys. The trick will be doing this and staying alive.

This was a quick read. And most definitely a sexy one. As I said, these two were pretty much insatiable. I was pretty impressed with Kate. She’s got a good head on her shoulders, even in the face of all of the danger she found herself in. And I understood why Price had to disappear. I just wish he would have been more open with Kate after they re-united and offered her a few more details.

This was sexy, and suspenseful I did enjoy it. I look forward to future books in this series.

An action packed read! I could not put this book down. In typical Hardt fashion, there were so many twists and turns. I'm beginning to think she can make a phone book seem dangerous and entertaining. Can't wait to see what the next misadventure will bring.

Misadventures of a Good Wife was an enjoyable, entertaining read and although it took me a few chapters to get into. I was soon hooked and it stayed that way throughout. And this was down to the story itself. Which was interesting, engaging and different to what I was anticipating. But in a good way. Plus the two main characters Price and Kate were likable and you could certainly feel the chemistry between the pair. Which led to a lot of hot moments and altogether I thought this was a great addition to the Misadventures series. That I would happily recommend to others.

I struggled a little with this one in the beginning. The last third of this book really speeds up and is suspenseful and exciting. The first 2/3 I found myself skimming. Honestly, I felt like there was too much sex. Every time things got even the slightest bit heavy, or intense these two went at it. I felt like it disconnected me from them as characters. I didn't really get to see them deal with anything they way romantic suspense normally plays out.

This story was just ok for me. I liked the crime part of the story. I liked the main characters sister the most in the story.

I found Kate to be to forgiving. If I was in her place I don't think I would just let things go and I sure wouldn't be distracted by sex. There is a ton of sex in this story a lot of steamy scenes. I just wanted more. I didn't connect with the characters.

If you want a quick read I say read this! I have read several books by Meredith Wild but this is my first by Helen Hardt

As a fan of Meredith Wild's work I was anxious to read this book. Unfortunately I found the story less developed than anticipated. I wasn't as drawn in as I hoped. Yes, the sex was phenomenal but I was also looking forward to a great story.

If you are looking for a hot, sexy read with steamy as hell chemistry and all the twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat..... then this is the book for you! This is the first book I've read in the Misadventures series and it was amazing! I couldn't put this book down, it had me hooked from the very beginning to the very end and I am so excited for the next one! This is absolutely a must read!

This story was good. There was a good story line but at times it was not very believable. But it was entertaining.

In the second book of the Misadventures series author Meredith Wild and Helen Hardt bring a story of loss love that comes back but with a twisted. As soon as you open the book Wild and Hardt give you a very sexy scene that will have you in aww and then in tears. Kate has mourning the loss of her husband Price; Now she's about to try and live with out him with a little help from his sister and a girls trip. But something happens when a familiar face comes out of no where. The drama, mystery, heat, and love of this book will have you on your toes. I've a girl crush on these 2 authors and can't wait for more misadventures.

This is one hot read that had some action to boot. Price and Kate were a great couple that I enjoyed t
throughout the book. I did not expect the ending of the book but I was sorry it was over!

Another great read in the Misadventures Series, there's plenty going on in this story, it's got just the right mix of suspense, love, drama and a few twists and turns that you don't see coming. Once I started reading this book I could not put it down, I loved the characters and I loved how the story flowed, at times I was laughing and at times I shed a tear. I really don't want to write a review that's full of spoilers so I'm sorry this is short, I'm going to leave you with Misadventures if a Good Wife is a perfect addition to the Misadventures Series looking forward to the next book.

3-4 Stars. If you're looking for a shorter book but one that has some suspense along with alot of spice then this one is for you. Plus it's told in dual POV's which is a big plus for me! The writing was good in that there was a suspenseful story when Kate's husband disappeared over a year ago and we find out that things may not be as they seem. I liked that there was substance to the book but because it was on the shorter side, it did seem rushed a little and loose ends were tied up easily. This works if you're wanting to read something fairly quickly that has a little mystery but don't want to read a long novel. Kate and Price also had quite a few spicy scenes between them- these were detailed and showed how deep the connection was between the two even after being separated.

Overall I'd recommend this book if you like mystery with some lovin' involved.

I received this book through NetGalley for an honest review. This is the second of this series that I read. It fell a little flat to me. I really liked it, but I thought the ending was rushed.
Price and Kate were a madly in love married couple. He went on a trip and supposedly died. She was devastated and had trouble rousing herself to do anything. After a year, she goes on vacation with her sister-in-law and he was there. Mad, mad sex scenes followed for several days. They were very hot!
She talks him into coming back to New York where the bad guys catch up with them. The cops think he is part of the criminals and he is separated from Kate. Eventually it all works out and they are reunited.
Again, I liked it, but would have liked to see the ending drawn out more. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series. These two write really well together.

After a year Kate is still trying to exist. She’s tied to her grief as tightly as she was bound to Price. When her sister-in-law convinces her to go on a girls’ trip on a remote Caribbean island Kate reluctantly agrees. At a villa as secluded as the island, they’re the only people in sight, until Kate sees a ghost walking toward them on the beach.

Price is alive. How is that possible he was buried a year ago. This part was in the beginning of this!! You guessed it the entire book is just as intense. While these two have off the chart chemistry they are also trying to figure out how to get Price out of hiding so they can live together and be happy because being apart is not an option.

I highly recommend this this book written in Dual POV my personal favorite.
